I like to wait to give a review for a service that could have long lasting effects.

I've been using Rawlings for over a year now and can confirm their consistency in providing an excellent service. As I've had wax removal each time, I can state with confidence that they know what they are doing and my doctor has confirmed no damage caused by the appointments, it has been entirely beneficial.

It is always a very warm, friendly and caring atmosphere with no pushy pitching for unneeded extras. The staff are well trained or those being trained shown patience and understanding.

A store that cares about the customer and still shows extraordinary knowledge and professionalism, one of the rare gems in the Winchester Highstreet.

They have continued to be accommodating to appointments that need shifting or at shorter notice. I was recommended to use them by my mother who noted they were closer and she went to them for eye tests/glasses.

I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs wax removal, though would advise them to go with the annual plan (which having been offered) has worked out massively cheaper than individual consultation appointments/procedures would have been.

All staff, at all levels, are always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I've been having problems with my glasses and made several visits to Rawlings Purley branch recently. The staff have consistently taken me seriously, been generous with their time, gone 'the extra mile' and solved the problem, all at no additional charges. Wonderful and very much appreciated. The Manager being particularly understanding and helpful. A big thank you.

David and I, having attended Rawlings in Winchester for many years, have recently decided to use Rawlings at Hedge End due to the location being nearer where we live and easier to reach due to mobility issues. Both of us underwent annual eye tests with Shin Tang and found her approach both caring and competent, with time to discuss any questions we raised. Lenses and frames were undertaken with Natasha whose patience and attention made the experience both comfortable and unhurried. In short, we both found that the staff we encountered, their courtesy and friendly approach made for a welcoming and efficient visit. We have appreciated the service that Rawlings at Hedge End gave to us. Thank you all!

I attended my 3rd appointment at the Winchester branch where the staff are welcoming, friendly and just very nice people. from the minute you walk through the door till you leave, there is a sense of ease and efficiency. I would recommend a visit if Rawlings of Winchester is your chosen specialists .

Very pleased with the way Ev dealt with correcting the first set of lenses which didn’t work for me.
I ordered another pair with new frames and she made sure the lenses were correct first time.

My wife and I have had hearing aids for a number of years but this was the first time we've used Rawlings for our routine hearing assessments. The audiologist (Mike) was very knowledgeable and thorough in his examination taking time to explain our options regarding the continued use of our existing hearing aids. Mike was refreshingly honest and transparent.

We decided to have the Enhanced Eye Test. Although this didn't identify any issues that needed to be addressed, it was worthwhile and provided peace of mind at a reasonable cost (£35).

Highly recommended.

My hearing aids had been for repair and Mike audiologist, was very careful, painstaking and diligent. The result is that the aids now work better than they ever have done since the initial provision a year ago. This may be due to a firmware update that came whilst they were being fitted.

From the moment you walk in, you are treated like a valued customer and friend not just a number. All the team are very warm friendly and helpful and the service is fantastic. The eye test itself is great with all checks being carried out professionally.

Mehdi and the team in the Winchester branch really guided me through the changes in my eye sight prescription. I was given professional care and advised on the cost effective options going forward.

Excellent personal service and complete eye health check including NHS eye test with no rush. Personal requirements for glasses catered for.

Visited the Lymington branch on the 30th September for wax removal. Perfect! All the staff at this branch are lovely,so friendly. I signed up for their £8 a month hearing scheme,so do ask about it when you go,will save a lot of £.if you need frequent wax removal. Highly recommend the Lymington branch.

Great service at Lymington. My ears felt blocked and one of my hearing aids failed and all this just before going on holiday! Rawlings managed to fit me in to clear the ear wax and advised on the hearing aid problem. I was able to go on holiday with all problems sorted.

I went to Rawlings first in Croydon in 1959. Now the Purley branch when I moved. Making 67 years in all. Seen many Opticians over years when they have moved to other branches or retired.
All have been very helpful explaining any changes in my eyes. Always found everyone very pleasant & helpful from the moment i made my appointment. I would not hesitate to recommend.

I bought Tomato glasses for my 5 year old son from Rawlings Opticians in Croydon and have been really impressed with the service, both during the initial fitting and afterwards.

Choosing glasses with him wasn't straightforward — he didn’t want to sit still and had little interest in trying frames on. I was starting to feel stressed, but the staff completely changed the atmosphere. They were patient, warm and funny, put both of us at ease, and helped us make the right choice without making the experience feel pressured.

The aftercare has been just as good. Since purchasing them, my son has damaged the glasses twice: once, a lens came out, and another time, the nose pads broke. Both times, his dad walked in, and the team sorted them out for us.

That level of service is especially appreciated when buying glasses for a young child, because you know accidents will happen! I’ve felt very well looked after from purchase through to repairs and would happily recommend Rawlings Croydon to other parents.

My eye test at Rawlings was very comprehensive and the optometrist, Chi Lam, took the time to understand my needs. The prescription and advice was carefully considered.
After five years of good use of my existing two pairs of glasses (multi focal and reading) which I also got from Rawlings, the test showed it was time for both to be replaced.
When trying on the new glasses it was evident that neither were meeting my needs as well as they could. After trying them for a few days, Hanna took the time to understand exactly what I was experiencing and drew on her knowledge to weigh up and explain a number of options to deal with the problems. I did not feel rushed or pressured to make decisions.
The result is that I am very satisfied with the revised new glasses. Well done to Rawlings and especially Hanna!

Had earwax removed and was delighted with the professional and friendly service received. The room used was clean and well equipped and I could clearly see from the before and after pictures that all earwax had been removed. My hearing was substantially improved in both ears at a very competitive price. Would thoroughly recommend Rawlings for this service.
