Love everything about this box, even it's packaging! Such a beautiful box full of beautiful goodies every month and a book. Definitely reading different books because of this. Have even bought as a present for a friend and they also loved it! Cannot wait to keep receiving this little treat to myself month on month. Well done ladies and thank you!

I have been receiving RiH for four months now and I love it! It’s my little treat, my one little thing for me and it’s always a surprise.

I love this subscription so much! Beautiful packages!

I bought a reading in heals subscription for myself as a treat for my birthday, to try and make post day more than just bills dropping through my letterbox!!!! I wasn’t expecting very much to be honest....and part of me knew I’d probably have to come out of my book comfort zone as everyone gets the same book. HOWEVER....I was absolutely thrilled by my box! The eye masks were seriously just what the dr ordered after a day crying over a bad experience at work...the wine gums were vegan......the stationary ticked my stationary addict boxes and that was before I even started with the book....which was not something I would EVER read normally but actually it made me laugh, think of history in a different way and not feel like a voyeur of celebrity whilst still getting some incredible gossip. I can’t wait for the next one!! And I’m going to send all my girlfriends a box for their birthdays this year too!

I thought that subscription boxes were done, that they were all the same and were just sending out the same rubbish over and over again.
Then along came Reading In Heels. Every month is different, with a selection of treats to enjoy while settling down with a book. While the books can be a bit hit/miss that's down to my own personal preference and in no way the fault of the ladies who run the company.
Keep up the good work!!

Love love getting a good book every month plus some joyous treats

There is no greater feeling than receiving my box every month. I struggle when choosing a book and often give up and don’t read, however my subscription box has meant that I am encouraged to read books I wouldn’t usually pick up and I am always hooked! The little extra treats that come in my box are amazing, especially the edible ones! When I have had the need to contact the Reading in Heels team, they respond immediately and are not just kind and helpful, but they talk to you like a friend. I know how much they value me as a customer and that is important to me, as I know they are working so hard to get everything right for me. I would encourage everybody to subscribe, whether you’re an avid reader or not! I love this initiative!

You receive a book plus a selection of treats (beauty products, teas, biscuits) on a monthly basis. I have been a monthly subscriber for 6 mths.

The books are not ones that I would have chosen but that is what makes it interesting as I was stuck in a rut.

My only reservation is the amount of packaging, which whilst very pretty, is difficult to reuse but can be recycled.

I cannot reccomend this company enough! I always love recieving my boxes, its a lovely little monthly treat to myself. I did have 1 box go missing, but they responded to me quickly and although they couldnt offer me a replacement box they refunded me straight away! I can't fault them one bit.

Unbelievably when I didn't think the service could get worse it has, after not receiving a delivery notification card i chased the sorting office they said that there was no record of the parcel being delivered.

Now reading in heels said it was sent back to them and are asking me to re pay delivery.

I am going to submit a complaint to the consumer ombudsman. Here is also some info for others who would like to escalate a formal complaint too

I really can’t fault this product - terrific book each month, really quite high end beauty items, a yummy food item and an extra practical gift such as seeds, whose flowers attracted lots of lovey bees to my garden this summer, or stationery etc.
The price is spot-on and actually last months book was worth £9.99 so very good value indeed!
The company itself posts a lot on social media and it feels like a proper community of like-minded booklovers. Any comments I have left or messages I have sent have always been answered promptly and courteously so I do not understand the reviews which bemoan the lack of customer service, these do not ring true.
I had not actually realised until recently that this was a small, new company as it is extremely professional and the product itself is impeccable. The fact that it is run by only a few individuals makes the whole thing even more impressive!
I recommend it to everybody I know who likes books - I’ve never known anyone to be disappointed

Love the concept and I love getting a new book every month along with the other treats. I have been introduced to books I might never have read otherwise. To start with I had a few issues with payment but they sorted it quickly and as they were a new company at the time, there are bound to be a few bumps in the road. I have had no issues since and my books arrive on time every month.

Excellent product. I ordered the August box and received it very promptly. High quality and a lovely treat in the post. Customer service exemplary too, I suspect some of these negative reviews are bitter and purposely written to cause trouble. A wonderful subscription service

I have just signed up for a subscription, having previously bought ad hoc month's boxes. The best description I can think of is, "Literal self care in a box"! It really is a moment of me time, with some lovely gifts that are well thought out and bring an oasis of calm (and very possibly, a ruinously expensive Miller Harris Perfume habit, which is not their fault!) There have been a couple of issues which I have emailed or messaged about, and had an immediate response. The books are never ones that I would have chosen myself but I have enjoyed all of them and they have all be interesting, great reads that I would not have experienced without Reading in Heels. Yes, they're a new and young company, and yes their social media feeds (FB and Twitter in particular) are a main focus which is great...…..but really, to paraphrase a current saying, "In a world full of Kardashians and reality TV, RiH are encouraging the Emilys, Charlottes, Marians, Jojos - the writers and dreamers amongst us" and that makes it all worthwhile (and is to be applauded) Seriously, as a gift or for yourself, this is the best subscription. I've been using this subscription box monthly since January (2018) and I've never had a problem. They are responsive on Twitter and Facebook, and the boxes are always wonderful, containing not just a book but small gifts too, like chocolate, perfume, make up etc, so they always make me smile. I'm surprised at the negative comments, I know that this is a small company so they won't have the same numbers of admin staff as larger and more established subscription boxes, but some of these negative reviews are just rude!!
