Staff were excellent. However, shipping issues eventually became rather problematic. Staff did try to assist as best as possible

Outdoor Garden Sauna

I am thoroughly enjoying my Outdoor Gargen sauna! It’s just for me but I love how I can recline on the bench with plenty of room! Currently, temp gets to 182 degrees at head level with the touch pad set at 170 degrees! ( I moved the sensor closer to head level). If set to max temp of 294, it will get to 205 degrees (too hot for me at this time). I use the sauna 5 times a week for 2 15 minute sessions. Lots of hydration and electrolytes! Don’t forget the wool sauna hat and wool briefs! Very glad I went with a traditional sauna!

I purchased a 6-person sauna from…

I purchased a 6-person sauna from Redwood Outdoor Sauna and while the sauna itself is a quality product, the experience getting there was one of the most frustrating customer service journeys I've had.
Before purchasing, I made it very clear that timing was critical I needed the kit delivered within a specific window between my travels. I was assured, repeatedly and confidently, that this would not be a problem. That assurance is what got them my business and my money. The moment that payment cleared, everything changed.
Communication slowed to a crawl. What was initially a responsive and friendly exchange became increasingly difficult as time went on. Follow-up emails and calls were met with delays, vague responses, and a string of excuses. Week after week I was told my delivery would be on time, only to be handed another excuse when that deadline passed.
Most frustrating of all, they eventually informed me that they make no guarantee of delivery — something that was conveniently never mentioned before the sale was finalized. For a product at this price point, that is simply unacceptable.
When I raised my concerns about the delays and broken promises, I was essentially told to let it all go once the sauna arrived as if a finished installation would erase weeks of stress, broken commitments, and poor communication. It doesn't.
I want to be fair: the sauna is well-made and I do enjoy it. But a great product does not excuse a company that becomes unreachable after payment, makes promises they don't intend to keep, and then dismisses legitimate grievances with a "you got your sauna, didn't you?" attitude. Qualilty, I would say you can get better else in terms of the finish.
If you're considering purchasing from Redwood Outdoor Sauna, go in with eyes wide open get everything in writing, do not rely on verbal assurances about delivery timelines, and be prepared to fight for communication once your payment is processed.

Personally go somewhere else, less headache... than deal with this command

From the beginning, our team did its best to accommodate the delivery window you requested, while also communicating that transit timelines could not be guaranteed until the order was prepared for shipment and confirmed by the carrier. We understand how frustrating delays can be, especially when coordinating around travel and installation schedules.

While we respectfully disagree with portions of your characterization of the experience, we do acknowledge that the process became frustrating for you, and for that, we are sorry.

We do appreciate your recognition of the quality of the sauna itself, and we’re glad that you are now able to enjoy the finished product. Feedback, both positive and critical, is something we take seriously as we continue working to improve the customer experience.

I love my sauna… But support was lacking

I love my sauna. However, I am experiencing some initial issues.

1. The light for the sauna inconsistently turns on, I can hear the relay switch but sometimes will not turn on.

2. Several pieces came with damaged tounges on the wood pieces. RW support team would not send me replacement pieces but said it wouldn’t effect the structural integrity of the sauna. That’s not what I asked, I asked for my materials to be free from damage. Considering these are small pieces now that compound over the build I do have some gaps in my sauna I am not pleased about.

Overall, RW is a great product and something I researched a lot before buying vs competitors. I’m slightly dissatisfied with the support team.

Mislead about origin and install process

I believe we were mislead about the installation process. The woman we placed our order with said that she had assembled the 2-person sauna on her own at a trade show. There is absolutely no way my husband and I could have assembled the sauna on our own. Also, the sauna should include all necessary items (i.e. outdoor waterproof boxes for electrical equipment). It was never mentioned at any time during the ordering process that we would need these items. You don't even offer these items for sale on your website. I had to reach out to customer service to see what we even needed. This has not been an easy process. Because of all of this, we originally ordered our sauna at the beginning of February, and it is still not up and running. Additionally, we had no idea that the sauna would be shipped from China. We thought we were buying an American-made product with wood sourced from the U.S. We feel very deceived.

I’m really sorry for how frustrating this experience has been—this isn’t the standard we want to deliver.

We’re sorry this wasn’t clearer upfront—our goal is to make sure customers feel fully prepared before installation. While we do advise that additional electrical components, such as weatherproof boxes, are often required for installation, the specific requirements can vary widely depending on local city and county codes. Because of that, providing a one-size-fits-all solution has proven to be challenging, which is why we recommend working with a licensed electrician to identify and source the appropriate materials for your specific setup.

We also want to clarify that it is never our intention to mislead how our saunas are made. Our Thermowood is sourced from Canada and then sent through a specialized thermal treatment process overseas, which allows us to offer the durability and performance this material is known for. While our headquarters is based in Kent, Washington, we do work with global manufacturing partners as part of our production process.

Our priority now is getting you fully set up and enjoying your sauna. If you’re still working through installation, our team is here and ready to help every step of the way.

Friendly and great service

Friendly and great service.
The two-person cube sauna is a great product. Relatively easy to put together. Glad I got it-should have ordered it long before I did! Only criticism I have is that you people are hard to get a hold of. Some ongoing delay in getting back to me-took several days!

everything but....the 2 lounges that I bought to use inside the barrel sauna are too wide. Am going to have to return them.

Room for improvement: customer service and roof design

Showroom did not seem completely knowledgeable about product details, had to verify some info given with other sources. Purchased vent cover because staff told us the sauna didn’t come with one, but it did. Turned off by time-pressure discount offered only on first visit (despite transparency of only wanting to discuss with electrician first), so plan showroom visits accordingly unless ready to purchase same day. Frustrated with shipping days which may be beyond control but delivery estimates were not accurate and there have not been proactive updates about timeline, we have had to consistently reach out to customer service for info. Meanwhile we get numerous promotional emails. Sauna build was relatively simple, but instructions for distance between bench supports could have been more clear. Do not trust the integrity of the asphalt sheet for roof. It cracked in several places when trying to unroll. Delay of heater (still not received, still no known delivery date) puts sauna at risk of moisture build up as we enter rainy season. Looking forward to being able to use the sauna (purchased ~ 2 months ago)

It was delivered on time and with no damage. We’ve been using it multiple times a week and love it! It gets hot in about 20 minutes and smells amazing!

Your staff was outstanding.i wish I would have done this few yrs ago!!

Your staff was outstanding.
I live in rural Oregon..Delivery was on time. Everything in the kit was there.
Friend and myself put it together (barrel) in 4 hours counting pizza break.
Works wonderful. Will add cedar deck around it… and cover it.
