Scamers and rude people. Overcharges and mafia style behavior. Stay away

Avoid at all costs! We were charged £232 extra for driving into Slovakia from the Czech Republic, we were told we were required to give permission of this, this is despite the forms all saying that we could travel to the majority of European countries with the car. This was on May 19th. Today, June 24th we have been charged an additional £201.92 with no reason. I don’t understand why it would take 5 weeks from our trip to be charged again for something.

BIGGEST SCAM IN THE VZECH REPUBLIC. Terrible customer service who don’t tell you anything on arrival. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Be very careful. Check the rental invoice. I specifically said no to the additional insurance, but this was added (without telling me) and I was charges a cross border fee too (without telling me). Do not use. If you do, check check check the rental agreement. They are not to be trusted.

The car rental was contracted for 20 days
When I asked when picking up the car whether it was possible to extend the car rental, I was told that the extension was not a problem, I just had to pay
a proportional amount for the number of days the contract would be extended.

Unfortunately, 5 days before my departure, Lufthansa canceled
all flights and I was forced to book a flight a day later. On Friday, I contacted RENTplus, they did not respond all weekend. On Monday, the company representative
informed me that extending the car rental by 21 hours
was no problem. That the rental for less than 24 hours of extension is
764.1CZK (32EUR), which is three times the regular price for renting a small car.
I disputed the amount, saying that it was an unreasonable amount, equal to one day's rent of a luxury vehicle.
I tried to find out the prices of the vehicles before I contacted RENT plus about the extension, but their price lists do not exist anywhere. They set their prices according to how stressed the customer is.
On the Internet, they present themselves as the "best partner for car rental", 13 USD or 12 EUR (292 CZK) per day.
Moreover, when I picked up the vehicle, the vehicle was handed over to me as being in perfect condition. After driving about 100 km, when I tried to wash the windshield, the indicator lights for the empty windshield washer tank came on. After driving another 50 km, the indicator lights for the underinflated tires came on. Instead of 2.2-2.5 bar, the tires only had 1.1 bar!!!! The vehicle was not in perfect
technical condition!
I'm not even talking about the behavior of the employees at the airport branch. When I arrived at the rental office, they were not at the counter at all.
Both employees were smoking in front of the building and I had to wait 20
minutes at their empty reception until both unpleasant and gentlemen returned from their break.
Do not rent vehicles from this company.
Unserious behavior and overpriced prices.

I rented from Rent Plus in Prague for 8 days. The car repeatedly displayed an oil level check warning on startup, which is not what you expect from a rental vehicle.
Later I was charged 5,000 CZK for an unpermitted cross-border charge, and I wasn’t properly informed beforehand. If cross-border travel is restricted or requires prior permission, this should be clearly explained at the counter and confirmed with the customer at pickup. The lack of transparency and unexpected charge ruined the experience.

You will get blocked and blacklisted for simply asking them for any legal support documents!!!!

Dit bedrijf reageert niet op klachten en probeert zonder duidelijke uitleg geld van je creditcard af te schrijven.

Zonder mijn medeweten werden mijn reisbewegingen gemonitord, wat naar mijn mening in strijd is met de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG). Dit is een ernstige schending van privacy.

Daarnaast werd de auto in de winter verhuurd zonder basisveiligheid: geen middelen om ijs of sneeuw te verwijderen en de ruitenwisservloeistof was leeg. Dit bracht mij direct in gevaar op de weg.

Ik heb aangifte gedaan bij de politie in Praag en een klacht ingediend bij de ÚOOÚ.

Absoluut afrader. 🚫

They try to steal more and more money from you at every opportunity for no good reason
We did online insurance through them, when we arrived they told us that online insurance is not accepted and has to be done physically.
In addition, when we returned the car they asked us for an additional payment for driving on toll roads even though we had already booked and paid in advance
Conclusion: Do not rent cars from them

This company is on the radar for cheating citizens and tourists at the European Trade and Commerce commission. They wanted half of the vehicles value as deposit. I thought he was joking. Finally squeezed him down to 5000 euro for a base compact sedan. They said we don't know what they have to deal with and they have to protect themselves. It was the weekend . Called Emabssy and Euro retail commission Monday and they immediately advised me to call police.
Lost my money as I booked car months before trip. Nu Car is the broker. All scams. Just go with the reputable rental company. These people don't represent most of czech population.

I rented a car from RentPlus and they tried to charge me 10,000 CZK for damage that was already there when I picked up the vehicle. I had video proof showing the damage was pre-existing, and only after I challenged them did they refund the amount.

What made it worse was the unprofessional behaviour of their staff — one employee laughed and blamed me for returning the car “incorrectly,” even though no instructions were given. I had to travel to their branch in person to resolve the issue, wasting time and money.

They refused to reimburse my taxi costs or offer any compensation for the stress and poor service.

This was by far the worst car rental experience I have ever had. I rent cars regularly and have never encountered anything like this.

From the beginning, the staff member who assisted me was rude, aggressive, and intimidating. I was not offered any basic insurance option at all. Instead, I was given only two choices:
• a “full” insurance for €280
• another option for €210, which was still outrageously expensive

There was no calm explanation, no transparency, and no real choice. The way the situation was presented made it very clear that if I didn’t take one of these insurances, I would be “in trouble” later. The pressure tactics were obvious and made me feel uncomfortable and threatened.

I ended up choosing the €280 insurance, not because I wanted it, but because I felt intimidated by the staff’s behavior. On top of that, they required a €1,700 security deposit, which is completely excessive.

I have rented cars in many countries and with many companies, and this experience stands out as the worst by far.

I do not recommend this company to anyone.
This was a clear lesson that sometimes the cheapest option ends up being the most expensive.

Зарезервировал машину через Букинг,там же и оплатил аренду и доп.страховку. Компания рент плюс.По прилёту выяснилось ,что забыл сделать международные права.На просьбу помочь просто кинули на прилавок баркод.Ну еле еле справился.Служащий принципиально говорил на английском,хотя я просил говорить по чешски,так как он похож на русский.После пошла оплата.Должен был оставить задаток и оплату за проезд в другое государство.Без задней мысли оплатил два раза картой и только по прилёту домой увидел,что с меня сняли почти 500 долл.После разбирательства с букингом понял ,что компания рент плюс взяла деньги за дополнительную платиновую страховку ни слово мне не сказав.На мои письма эти товарищи не отвечают,букинг ничего сделать не может.Вообщем не рекомендую компанию совсем Да и я не один такой.

Cancelled my reservation because I had an "old" french license and stating that it was not acceptable for the Czech law. This is untrue (checked before on official website) and I used it in different countries in the previous months for car renting.

I went to the next car rental place in the airport and they accepted it without trouble, either that made them outlaws or RentPlus ignorant scammer (I coudn't get a full refund from the rental website I used).

Al banco mi hanno consegnato il contratto dentro una busta… insieme al libretto originale della macchina (che per legge deve restare nel vano portaoggetti). Nessun avviso, nessuna spiegazione.
Riconsegna alle 5 del mattino con la cassetta delle chiavi: tutto regolare.
Tre giorni dopo mi sono trovato 206,02 € addebitati sulla carta senza nessuna mail o giustificazione.
Ho scritto più volte offrendomi di rispedire il documento a mie spese → risposta secca: “We can not refund”.
Errore 100% dello staff, zero flessibilità, zero comunicazione.
Penale assurda per una procedura sbagliata da parte loro.
Compagnia da evitare.

I think it is ridiculous that apartments are adding this services as a requirement for your lease and you are to be auto enrolled and YOU have to contact the provider to tell them you dont want it. I dont see anything wrong with offering it in a a lease, but it should be a yes or no. However, you are automatically enrolled when you sign your lease and then have to contact this company to tell them you DO NOT WANT IT.

They hit you with 30,000cz (1300 euro) desposit and don't refind it -although they say they will. Car returned in perfect condition, all was signed as fine. Still waiting for refund. Won't answer calls nor return emails!

Terrible experience!! Made the reservation in advance and paid for it. When my husband wanted to pick up his car they told him he had to provide international license. It was done on the spot and he paid for it. Then they proceeded to tell him that because of this they had to cancel the original reservation and make a new one. We found out they never refunded the original reservation and instead they charged him platinum insurance despite him having his own. For the reservation that’s was originally about $100 we paid 400$. They didn’t accept any complaints and didn’t provide any way to fix it other than “post on the website”. Avoid these scammers at all costs.

I was a bit worried because of some comments I had read, but everything turned out great.
They didn’t try to sell me insurance, there were no extra charges, and they didn’t try to scam me at all...

The only drawback was that the GPS wasn’t updated with some newly built highways. But apart from that, I’d give it a 10.
