I worked with Skyler Mickelson. It is my pleasure to provide a review of my experience with Skyler with the hope that a future physician can gain the benefits that I did. Skyler allowed me to navigate a very complicated and problematic situation where an ambiguous contract could have left me trapped in a very detrimental agreement stripping me of market value and secured time off. In addition to highlighting some deficiencies in the contract, Skyler patiently and diligently took on the role of not only revising my contract and presenting the counter offer but overseeing my negotiations directly at my request. This prevented me from being in a regretful situation and allowing me to ultimately finding the most ideal situation. For that I will be forever grateful. He was super generous with his time and never hesitating in assisting me throughout the prolonged process. He provided the most you could ask for from a contract attorney.

In my last year of residency and new to navigating the post-residency job search. I was recommend Resolve via ACEP, and I was reluctant to use a lawyer for contract negotiations. However, after the contract was structured and tailed toward my needs, I am so grateful. Also not bad that they were also able to negotiate a far better compensation package. Will use again the next time I’m on the job hunt.

This was my first time having an attorney review my contract. Wish I would have done it before. Opened my eyes to things I did not realize I could negotiate. Definately made improvements on the first contract. My attorney Brad Glissendorf gave me some great insight and also provided the reasoning for the contract revisions on the contract for the employer to see. Didn't get everything I asked for; however, I got most of if.

It was good to have an attorney tell me what is standard within a contract. There were a few industry standard things I had not seen. Yet, I had to insist that my attorney negotiate for me despite it being part of the paid service. While he listened in regard to what my concerns where, he was ineffective with getting anything changed. Also, I realized through the process that some points were not worth editing in the contract because the university bylaws worked in my favor. It was unnecessary arguing.
Ultimately, I was encouraged to hire an attorney to help with negotiations just to end up with no changes to my contract. The experience led to more stress and money wasted. I did not have the time or money to restart my job search and took the job.

Resolve was great to work with -- specifically Bryce. They are genuine advocates for contemporary physicians and help level the playing field in an industry where the physician is at a huge disadvantage in virtually all aspects. Resolve is indeed worth the money. Furthermore, for a good price, they provide MGMA data to you in an easily-navigable UI where you can see real time updates. Using Resolve literally pays for itself.

TLDR:
After going through the job search process with Resolve as a graduating fellow, from the interview process to final contract, I have nothing but the highest marks to give Resolve!

Longer Version:
In my experience, getting an attorney in your corner, as soon as possible, for your job search process is the way to go. Kyle and Brady were the attorneys assigned to me and I am so thankful for their expertise! I got Resolve involved during my interview stage, right before even the letter of intent (offer letter) stage, and that was a very good decision. I had access to them for a whole year so that worked out well.

Kyle and Brady provided me with valuable insight throughout the process, and even gave me coaching when requested. They were exceptionally professional and knowledgeable.

A lot of doctors I’ve seen on forums like to ask if Resolve will negotiate for you. They were willing to do that, but for my situation, it worked out better to negotiate myself with their feedback and insight in the background. I felt exceedingly more confident going into the negotiation process with their insight from looking at a plethora of doctor contracts along with MGMA and Resolve contract data.

I very much appreciate that their service is a one time flat fee (so I did not have to worry about paying for all the emails and phone calls—which was helpful on a fellow income). Resolve’s website has info on their pricing, it’s very transparent.

Resolve is great. Kyle Claussen can see all the angles and even negotiated the contract on my behalf. He is very approachable and professional.
