My package took more than 2 weeks to be delivered, I tried ringing the phone number on their website numerous times and never answered. I decided to order one of the items again but through their eBay store and arrived after a couple of days after I ordered but before my original order arrived.

Be very wary
While the company did do a great job in modding my Sega Saturn to do 50/60hz and Customer Service was kind to talk to, I wouldn't exactly recommend this service unless you know what you're getting yourself into.
The first time I sent it in, they didn't do the mod correctly and I had to send it back yet again. The second time, I was forced to pay an additional fee for delivery and was sent it back in the same way. The third time was when I was given the system back with the mod installed correctly and was given a £20 refund.
It was a long wait and while I can understand why, having to send in my Saturn 3 times was not a fun experience and definitely not something I recommend people to do. Please do some research and careful planning before ever deciding to do something like this.

Best modding service and supplier
Genuinely a good service. I have purchased a few times from them using the parts they provide and printing services for custom stickers and shells and every single time I'm blown away by the quality and friendly customer service. I really cannot recommend them enough if you're into modding consoles and hand helds or if you want to have one fixed. The quality of the parts they sell is the best I've used from various sellers too. They have earned my repeat custom and I look forward to buying more in the future!
Xbox DVD repair console
My Xbox wasn't reading discs anymore and Retrosix repaired that very well. Not only that, also helped to restore to stock a soft modded Xbox.
When I mentioned the discs where still not reading, Luke immediately asked to bring back the Xbox and in a couple of days it was all back to work again.
Really appreciate the clear communication, the speed of the work and also that a console enthusiast takes care of keeping our treasures alive.
100% recommend Retrogames if you have any issues with your consoles.
I read the negative reviews, and I must admit I was scared at the beginning, but just the opposite. Very good customer care, they really help and go above and beyond to repair your console.

Bought a gamepad with 2 buttons not reacting properly, friendly tried to reach customer service via mail, no answer for a whole week.

Never Ever Again! I paid for a Minor repair with a console still working but apparently when received by retro it wasn't? & I had to pay for this apparent extra work! After a month and a half later I received my console back but not working & damage to the console which they refused to accept liability and got me to ship it back promising refund which I have & will not receive even when requested twice. I received my console back the other day with no screws holding the unit together but in a bag in the box! An absolute nightmare and upsetting experience with them very quick to hide behind there policy of no refunds or liability if anyone sends anything in for repair and a screenshot of the policy when you request evidence of a video of your repair and the condition with them saying not every repair is recorded on film. I am very glad it's over and I have sent my PS1 to another engineers shop to fix and assess RetroSix damages apart from the fresh scratch they did to the lid and casing. Do Not Be Fooled by the TikTok Video like I was in them being a great place to go for repairs and I hope Karma strikes them because nobody deserves to be ripped off and treated like I was leaving me with a damaged console and paying for it in more ways then one.
I believe it is only fair to prove my responses to retrosix regarding how I was throughout this 2 month period of waiting and receiving extremely bad service and their responses Including the only evidence they sent me in saying the fresh scratch damage was already there when it was Not with them sending a very Very Dark picture of the console which again I will show to prove I was very polite & very patient after waiting two months but also being treated with very little respect with the worst evidence ever received by anyone even with a finished work order form sat underneath the console as if this picture was taken after they had apparently fixed it the first time & sent it back not working and again what looks like a very dark room with no light to highlight the console and damage onto a video channel to Show All Evidence from Both Sides. My response and Retrosix Response with the so called evidence they sent which again is 1 very dark photo which you can hardly see and two separate policy screen shots with a red pen ring on their No Liability rules was how they accepted no responsibility & This will be uploaded very soon on The Channels YouTube and TickTok where this video evidence will be included along with their reply to show the truth who was polite in communicating and in their actions and responses. The video with all emails from myself & retrosix and very dark photo including the damage to the PS1 will be up soon under the same title and allow All to see where they can make the right decision to decide & Risk having any interaction with RetroSix if they need a repair service.

Qualität und Service mangelhaft
Seid bitte nachsichtig bei der Übersetzung ins Englische, da manche durch Google übersetzten Formulierungen im Englischen eigenartig klingen könnten.
Ich hatte in den vergangenen Jahren einige Bestellungen bei RetroSix getätigt, bei denen es sich immer um Gehäuse und andere Teile für GBA Handhelden handelte. Qualität der Produkte und besonders des Service sind im Laufe der Zeit derart schlecht geworden, dass ich Produkte von RetroSix in Zukunft meiden werde.
Produktangebot:
Es war möglich Gehäuse, Rubber Pads, Buttons und weitere Teile auszusuchen und somit nach den eigenen Wünschen und Vorstellungen zu kombinieren. Mittlerweile werden Sets verkauft, bei denen man gezwungen ist die Rubber Pads und Buttons in einer bestimmten Farbe zu kaufen. Ihr wollt lieber Buttons in einer andere Farbe? Pech! Dann müsst ihr natürlich zusätzliche Buttons bestellen.
Auch das Angebot für custom shells hat sich geändert: Ihr möchtet einen bunten UV Druck auf einem schwarzen Gehäuse mit blauen Buttons und Rubber Pads? Nein, ihr dürft nicht mehr frei wählen. Wenn ihr ein schwarzes Gehäuse wählt, bekommt ihr auch schwarze Buttons und Rubber Pads dazu. Es heißt also: "Nehm es oder lass es"
Qualität der Produkte:
Leider ist es nicht möglich Fotos in die Bewertung einzufügen. Die in Auftrag gegebenen GBA Gehäuse mit UV Druck wurden mit Blasen geliefert. Ich meine damit nicht wenige Blasen, die unschön aussehen und an wenigen Stellen sind. Die Blasen waren auf der Hälfte des UV Druck.
Der UV Druck ist von schlechter Qualität. "Rot" sieht aus wie mattes "Orange". Der Rand einer Front Schale, wo der UV Druck endete, war abgeschliffen und grau.
Service:
Wir sind keine Kumpel. Ich bin ein Kunde. Wenn du nicht in der Lage bist einen professionellen und freundlichen Umgang mit deinen Kunden zu pflegen, solltest du den Kontakt mit Kunden deinen Kollegen überlassen.
Der Service wird auf das Nötigste begrenzt. Ein freundliches "Hallo" zu Beginn einer Nachricht ist ein Fremdwort. Gibt es eine Lieferverzögerung, muss man nach zwei Wochen ohne Nachricht von RetroSix selber Kontakt aufnehmen um dann zu erfahren, was der Grund ist.
Bei einer anderen Bestellung sollte ich Ersatz für die beschädigte custom shell mit den erwähnten Blasen auf dem UV Druck erhalten. Das war jedoch nicht möglich, weil der UV Druck des Ersatz nach der Fertigstellung ebenfalls Blasen bekam. Diese Information wurde mir nicht von alleine mitgeteilt, sondern erst, als ich mich ungefähr 2 Wochen später meldete, da mein Ersatz noch immer nicht versendet wurde. Mit einem schlichten "Sorry" wurde mir mein Geld zurückerstattet.
Kurz und knapp:
- Qualität der Produkte gering
- Service desinteressiert und unprofessionell
- Produkte sind im Vergleich zur Qualität zu teuer
- Größtenteils nur fertige Sets zur Auswahl, nach dem Prinzip: "Nehm es oder lass es"
Misleading representation.
When choosing your services, Luke, I was under the impression—based on your videos and website—that you personally would be handling the repairs and upgrades for my Game Boys. Given the £480 price tag, I anticipated a level of expertise and quality from you directly.
However, not only were these consoles handed off to someone else, but they also arrived with glaring quality control issues. Both Game Boys had multiple defects, requiring me to return them—at my own expense. This experience has left me concerned that the expectations set by your online content and branding may mislead other customers as well.
It would be far more transparent if your website clarified that other technicians are involved and that you aren’t the one performing all repairs, a detail that’s critical for prospective clients to know before they entrust you with their items.
Additionally, your website advertises a wide selection of custom colours for personalisation. Yet, after selecting and paying for these options, I was informed that most colours weren’t actually available. Shockingly, you admitted one colour option isn’t even manufactured anymore. Listing unavailable colours misrepresents your offerings, and the website should reflect actual stock.
I entered this transaction with confidence after our initial discussions, where there was no mention of anyone else taking over the work. Had I known, I might have reconsidered my decision. Your Instagram content is stellar and convinced me of your skill and professionalism, but the reality of receiving shoddy work from another technician left me deeply disappointed.
Frankly, a cursory “sorry” is inadequate when a customer has invested nearly £500 to preserve and upgrade their vintage consoles. Furthermore, my attempts to raise these concerns via Instagram have been ignored despite being read, leaving me with no option but to share this feedback publicly for the benefit of others.
Excellent service
Sent in a couple of GBA games for repair and battery swaps with expedited service on a Wednesday, had been returned fully repaired and working again by the Friday! Very quick turnaround and excellent work on the fixes, would absolutely use them again!
