mauvais accueil, aucune considération, pression pour payer une assurance supplémentaire, profite de la situation car nous ne parlons pas le grec et très peu l'anglais, car ils on un tableau ou ils indiquent les tarifs s'il y a une éraflure, quelque chose de cassé !! voiture dont l'embrayage est mort, on ne savait pas si elle allait tenir les 14 jours, pour une C 1 j'ai payé au 299 euros de BSP, 336 euros en plus à right car. C'est lamentable !!

Loueur malhonnête Certaines informations n'ont pas été communiquées Par exemple Le fait qu'il fallait payer 336€ sous prétexte Qu'elle refusait de prendre ma carte pour la caution des 900€. Finalement J'ai payé 336€ sinon elle refusait de me donner le véhicule. Il a fallu également donner 100€ en liquide Pour le carburant si j'oubliais de refaire le plein. Ce loueur prend les voyageurs pour des imbéciles et des voleurs. Nous sommes arrivés le soir le personnel était désagréable Pas Disponible sauf pour demander de l'argent en cash. À aucun moment Nous n'avons été informés de ces petits arrangements avant notre arrivée. C'est la première et dernière fois que je l'ouvrais un véhicule chez Right Cars. Leur comportement n'est pas franc et pas honnête.

Right Cars – une arnaque organisée – à fuir absolument !
Nous sommes arrivés le 08/09/2026 à Heraklion où nous avions réservé un véhicule chez Right Cars (via la plateforme Carjet).
Nous avions payé une partie lors de la réservation, et il nous restait un peu plus de 204 € à payer.
La personne de chez Right Cars nous reçoit et nous présente 2 options : 1 option avec une franchise de 900€ (celle sur laquelle je me positionne après un petit temps de réflexion) et une sans franchise, mais nous coutant 360€ de plus (que je ne souhaite pas prendre car j’ai déjà souscrit une assurance au moment de la réservation chez Carjet).
Comme d'habitude, nous choisissons l'option 1 (avec franchise), et là, il commence à nous dire que notre carte ne passera pas car c'est une carte Visa crédit/débit, alors que lui nous présente une carte débit/crédit (..ça ressemble bien à une arnaque, non ?).
Il fait une manip. Sur sont TPE pour notre carte, nous montre qu’il n’y a pas le message pour accepter la caution, puis nous passe la carte qu’il avait (mais la manip. N’est pas la même – il est rapide et j’ai un doute, donc je lui demande de me remontrer, et là ça confirme ce que j’ai vu avant).
D'une part, j'ai déjà utilisé plusieurs fois cette carte pour louer un véhicule chez Carjet à Heraklion, et je n'ai jamais eu de problème auparavant, mais le loueur était « Surpirce rent a car ».
D'autre part, il n'a pas fait la même manip sur son TPE pour ma carte et la sienne (à deux reprises différentes).
En discutant avec d'autres voyageurs rencontrés à l'hôtel, il s'est avéré que nous n'étions pas les seuls, mais eux avaient déjà eu ce problème et ont fait changer leur carte...ON LEUR A QUAND MEME FAIT LES MEMES PROBLEMES !!!
Résultat, nous avons dû payer 360€ pour une assurance (alors que j'avais déjà souscrit une assurance à la réservation chez Carjet pour > 99€) - ce n’était pas mon choix, mais un choix dirigé par cette personne.
Si je refuse, pas de voiture, et vu l’honnêteté de cette société, je craignais de perdre les sommes déjà payées à la réservation.
J'ai écrit à Carjet pour obtenir le remboursement des 360€ mais évidemment, ils font les morts et ne répondent pas.
Sachant en plus, que nous n’avons pas utilisé la voiture car l’état était dangereux à mon sens : en 3ème et 4ème vitesse, lors des phases d’accélération, il y avait d’importantes vibrations dans la direction. Au bout d’une semaine, juste avant de changer d’hôtel, nous avons mis 15€ de carburant, mais la l’aiguille au compteur n’a pas bougé d’un millimètre. Et c’est sans compter les nombreuses griffes et coups, accrocs et joyeusetés de ce genre.
Il a fallu que je laisse un avis salé les concernant sur Trustpilot pour qu’ils prennent contact.
Ils m’ont demandé des documents et après plusieurs échanges, m’ont dit qu’une fois que j’avais accepté le contrat – reçu par mail et non signé de ma part (je ne voulais pas de cette assurance à 360€ qui faisait double-emploi avec celle que j’avais déjà souscrite chez Carjet) ça n’était plus possible de revenir dessus.
Toutefois, ils souhaitaient faire un « geste commercial » en me remboursant l’assurance que j’avais souscrite en ligne, au moment de la réservation...donc, là ils reconnaissent qu’eux et RIGHT CARS sont responsables de cette belle ARNAQUE.

J'ai écrit au ministère du voyage en Grèce et à des associations de consommateurs locales, et j'ai eu des contacts et je vais faire ce qu’il faut.

Be careful when booking with Right Cars at Heraklion Airport. Our experience was very disappointing.

We had already paid around €400 for the rental and €100 for insurance. When we arrived, they told us that the name of the main driver didn’t match the booking. All other documents were fine and we had sufficient funds available.

Instead of simply fixing this administrative issue, they told us we could only get the car if we paid another €400 for insurance.

The staff were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful and made no effort to find a reasonable solution. It really felt like they were trying to make extra money from us because we were already at the airport.

We decided to leave and rented a car from another company instead, without any problems.

Very disappointing experience and a terrible way to start your holiday. We definitely won’t be using Right Cars again.

RENTAL SCAM COMPANY!
I had a prepaid reservation with Right Cars
Global Rentals at Fort Lauderdale Airport. When I arrived, they told me the price would be much higher than what I paid online (about $114 prepaid, but they said it would be about $262 at the counter). They also told me I could not drive the car out of state, which wasn’t acceptable for my trip. Because of the unexpected price increase and the out-of-state restriction, I did not pick up the vehicle. Very disappointing experience and a waste of time.

Wir hatten ein Problem mit unserer Kreditkarte. Der Autovermieter wollte von uns zusätzlich zu den Mietwagenkosten 790,00 € für die Versicherung für 16 Tage. Es war nicht möglich meinen Mann als Hauptfahrer zu ergänzen um seine Kreditkarte zu benutzen.
Das ist geplantes Abzocken!!! Ganz schlimm...

Terrible company. Arrived with passport, driver’s license, rental voucher and Credit card with more than the excess required on the agreement voucher. They refused to provide the car. Said the Ryanair rental agreement was wrong and we would have to pay a much higher deposit than the agreement stated. They said we would have to pay about 450 euro more to receive our car which we already paid for in advance! Very unhelpful and rude. We left and rented an alternative car easily from another company. They refused to refund and it took 3 months to reclaim our money through Visa!!

We booked a VW Golf for 13 days. When we arrived, they suddenly demanded an extra €580 that was never mentioned at booking. And instead of the Golf, they handed us a beat-up Citroën C3.

On top of that, the young tattooed guy at the front desk was extremely rude, dismissive, and made zero effort to fix the situation.

Hidden fees, a car that didn't match our booking, and terrible customer service: this looks a lot like a scam. I do not recommend Right Cars. Save yourself the trouble and rent elsewhere.

DO NOT USE. Would give zero stars if I could. My parents rented a car through this company, via Easyjet, and they refused to give us the car once we arrived at Chania Airport in Crete, simply because the card name was in a slightly different format, as is typical for many people. This is despite payment having been made and having all the relevant booking details and documents. We will claim this back and also the money for the taxis that we had to book in the meantime but if you want to avoid hassle then just avoid this company from the get-go. The 2 men "working" there were particularly unhelpful and belligerent, and perfectly fine with what is essentially theft. Use a different company if you actually want to get what was paid for, and not have to deal with morons on the way.

Ich habe mit meinem Condor Flug einen Peugeot 208 von RIGHT CARS am Airport Chania auf Kreta gemietet. Bei der Rückgabe des Autos am 17.09.2026 ging der Abnehmer von RC direkt vorne rechts zur Front und stellte Kratzer mit Hilfe einer unter das Auto gehaltener Laptopkamera fest. Ich sollte für den Schaden zahlen, könnte es mir ja von der Versicherung zurückholen.
Ich sagte ihm, ich rufe die Touristenpolizei hinzu, um einen Report zu erstellen und alle bisherigen abgerechneten Schäden des Fahrzeuges zu überprüfen.
Während ich die Polizei angerufen habe, verschwand der Mann und nachdem ich die Flughafenpolizei herbeirufen wollte, kam ein 2. Mitarbeiter von RIGHT CARS hinzu und sagte mir, the case is closed und ich hätte nichts zu zahlen. Das Kfz Kennzeichen war : XTB 4799!
Es wurden bereits mehrmals Schäden unter dem Auto abgerechnet und damit Versicherungsbetrug begangen (s. die Berichte hier)! Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, die Touristenpolizei hinzuzuziehen!
Viele Touristen sind bereits auf diese Masche herein gefallen!!!

Das gleiche Spielchen wie bei anderen Kunden.Es wurde ein Schaden unterhalb vom Auto beanstandet,somit sind Fotos/Videos nutzlos.Es sei denn man legt sich unters Auto.Dann wurde die Versicherung abgezockt.
Beim 2.Mal konnten wir andere Kunden warnen.Der Vertrag wird per Mail zugeschickt mit schlechter Verbindung steht man in dieser Butze und muss 4 digitale Unterschriften leisten.Die Mitarbeiter extrem langsam lassen die Kunden in der prallen Sonne bis zu 1 Stunde vor der Butze stehen.Wehe man möchte ohne Genehmigung dort eintreten.Irgendwann arrangieren sich die Kunden untereinander wer als Nächstes dran ist,denn die unfreundliche Dame für außen verliert den Überblick.
Endlich drinnen ist das Tempo extrem langsam=Wlan?Dann quatscht man noch untereinander privat und schon ist eine Stunde vergangen.
Die Mitarbeiter versuchen seltsame Deals aufzuschwatzen und sind sehr unwillig wenns nicht klappt.
Das Lockangebot die Kaution nicht zu blocken aber bar bei Schäden zu bezahlen ist lukrativ.Bei uns wurde ein Schaden „gefunden“ und wir sollten 200 bar auf die Hand zahlen.Abgelehnt,dann wurde halt über unsere Vkassko abkassiert.

We booked through Priceline and were hit with an unexpected ~$400 insurance charge at pickup. After pushing back, they reduced it to ~$320.

When we asked for time to think, we were told we could be charged an additional $200 cancellation fee if we didn’t decide immediately.

The whole experience felt very high-pressure and the actual cost was far from what we expected when booking. I would not rent from Right Cars again.

Zeer teleurstellende ervaring met CarJet / Right Cars op de luchthaven van Heraklion.

Hoewel ik via CarJet al een volledige verzekering had afgesloten, werd ik bij de balie zwaar onder druk gezet om nog eens €280 voor een extra verzekering te betalen. Toen ik weigerde, veranderde de houding van het personeel onmiddellijk. Ik werd herhaaldelijk gewaarschuwd voor hoge kosten bij schade en voor de risico’s van het rijden op Kreta.

De auto zelf was oud en had al talloze krassen en beschadigingen. Bovendien moest ik de auto in het donker inspecteren, waardoor het vrijwel onmogelijk was om de staat ervan goed te controleren.

Bij het inleveren werd de auto vervolgens zeer grondig geïnspecteerd en werd bestaande schade ter discussie gesteld.

Al met al kreeg ik sterk de indruk dat de nadruk ligt op het verdienen van extra geld via aanvullende verzekeringen en mogelijke schadeclaims, in plaats van op het bieden van een eerlijke verhuurservice.

Ik raad iedereen aan zeer voorzichtig te zijn voordat je via CarJet / Right Cars boekt. Mijn ervaring is dat er sprake is van aanzienlijke verborgen kosten en onnodige druk om een extra verzekering af te sluiten.

Man muss bei Ankunft auf gut Glück alle Schäden abfotografiert und hoffen das man keinen übersieht. Ich kann hier nur empfehlen sehr gründlich zu sein um alles zu erwischen. Wer abends ankommt hat leider Pech wenn es schon dunkel ist und er hier seine Fotos machen muss...

Really bad experience with this company When we pick up cars waiting about 55 minutes was 10pm,when we returned 65 min. Working to slowly and not correcting people.

Urlaubsabzocke! Schon die Abholung des Wagens war eine Katastrophe. Wir standen 1,5 Stunden in der prallen Sonne bis wir endlich drankamen. Ich sollte dann eine Vollkasko-Versicherung für zusätzlich 350 € abschließen, was ich ablehnte. Das etwas verkratze und leicht verbeulte Auto habe ich ringsherum mit einem Video gefilmt und Bilder von den Beulen gemacht. Bei der Rückgabe fragte die selbe unfreundliche Dame, ob wir das Auto mit Bildern dokumentiert hätten. Ich zeigte ihr alle Bilder und das Video. Erst danach zeigte sie mir einen leichten Kratzer im Bodenblech, das garantiert nicht von mir war, aber im Übergabeprotokoll nicht vermerkt war und dort hatte ich nicht gefilmt. Jetzt musste ich exakt die 350,-- € zahlen. Welch ein Zufall zum vorherigen Versicherungsangebot. Mittlerweile war schon eine halbe Stunde um und ich musste zum Flieger. Fazit: Künftig lege ich mich auf den Boden und filme meine Mietwagen auch noch von unten und Right Cars nie wieder!!

Non abbiamo apprezzato le modalità relazionali e lo stile del personale che ci è apparso poco accogliente e flessibile anche in caso di difficoltà da parte del cliente. L'impiegata ha proposto con insistenza una polizza auto estremamente costosa nonostante ne avessimo già stipulata una. La politica relativa ai danni ci è apparsa eccessivamente stringente rispetto ad altre agenzie e anche le limitazioni di guida al di fuori di percorsi completamente asfaltati.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life renting a car. The location is far away from the airport; it's a long shuttle ride there with no a/c. You dont even see a real person when you get your car. It is someone on a video. There are tons and tons of hidden fees which nearly tripled my rental fees. They trap you as it is so far from any other rental place you have no choices. They make it mandatory to pay for a transponder whether you use it or not and try to tell you its a deal to pay $20 usd extra per day for unlimited tolls. They will not accept any rental insurance outside of the USA, even if booked under your travel credit card. Something is not right; this is a total scam. And the car is nasty, in rough shape. I will be fighting this when i get home

Nous avons réservé notre véhicule chez Right Cars via CarJet.com. Lors de notre arrivée en Crète, nous avons présenté une Visa Premier au nom du conducteur. Malgré cela, l'employé escrocs au comptoir nous a indiqué que la caution de 1 000 € ne pouvait pas être effectuée selon leurs conditions car notre carte de carte de crédit était soit disant une carte de débit uniquement (Alors que nous avons présenté une carte visa premier) et nous a imposé la souscription d'une assurance supplémentaire pour pouvoir récupérer le véhicule.

Résultat : nous avons dû payer 392 € supplémentaires!!!!!!

Nous considérons cette pratique comme inacceptable, car cette dépense importante ne nous avait pas été clairement présentée lors de la réservation. Nous avons eu le sentiment d'être mis devant le fait accompli, sans réelle alternative une fois arrivés au comptoir.

L'accueil du commercial escrocs a été particulièrement décevant, avec le sentiment d'être davantage face à une démarche de vente forcée que face à un service de location professionnel.

Après vérification, nous avons également constaté de nombreux avis de clients sur google et autres sites relatant des expériences similaires concernant des frais supplémentaires et des difficultés lors des locations.

Nous avons demandé le remboursement intégral de ces 392 € et nous engagerons les démarches nécessaires auprès des organismes compétents si cette demande n'est pas traitée.

Notre conseil aux futurs clients : Ne réservez surtout pas un véhicule via cette agence au pratiques trompeuses comme l'indique les nombreux commentaire clients.

I had a terrible experience, in particular with an employee of the Crete office. His name is Ilias, and he was rude from the very start, from the moment I picked up the car. But what he did when I returned the car was outright a scam — I was on the verge of calling the police.

You should really thank your most experienced employee. I asked to speak with him because Ilias was a total jerk from the beginning. When I walked into the office at 7 a.m., I was the first to say “hello, good morning” with a smile, even though I’d been driving since 4:30 that morning to get to the airport. Ilias didn’t respond, and from the look on his face I immediately understood his attitude.

For example, the other employees asked customers to accompany them for the car inspection, but Ilias told me to stay in the office while he went out alone. When he came back, the first thing he said was, “Antenna’s missing, huh?” Then he checked the paperwork and realized he’d never noted anything about the antenna — so if it was missing, it must have been my fault. Luckily, I had photos proving it was already missing when I picked up the car.

At that point I started to feel very uncomfortable, like I was being scammed — especially when he told me I’d have to pay a 90-euro penalty because the fuel level wasn’t the same as when I’d picked up the car. In fact, it was higher than when I got it, but this time I couldn’t prove it because the photo was on my wife’s phone.

He could see I was getting anxious because I was about to miss my flight — with two young children in tow — and that’s when he said, “You have two options: either go to the gas station and put in five or ten euros of fuel, or pay a 90-euro penalty.” He knew I was about to miss my flight and did this on purpose.

At that moment, the right thing to do would have been to call the police, but I didn’t have time. Thankfully, the most experienced employee — whose name I don’t know, but who I’m very grateful to for his good sense — stepped in. His attitude was the complete opposite of Ilias’s, who was clearly trying to scam me. Did Ilias think I didn’t see through his little game? He wanted to collect the 90-euro “penalty,” then go clean the car, put in five euros of fuel, and pocket the remaining 85.

This kind of behavior damages the reputation of the rental office. I’m going to leave reviews everywhere about what happened. Ilias nearly scammed me and made me risk missing my flight with two small children. Honestly, I hope he loses his job. I’ll be posting this on Google and TripAdvisor. Thanks for nothing, Ilias — you wasted so much of my time.
