Helpful and friendly service - Palmerston North Branch

amp broke, store in gisborne told me "we just sell them, don;t repair them" told me to try local e store. I tries the local e store without luck so emailed blackstar england and they told me contact rockshop! so I used the supplied email and had a good response. Just a pain in the ass how shops carry that many brands they cannot service them or even advise on use due to the nerdy operating systems that every devise uses differently.

Staff are always friendly .... great !!!

Had a guitar shipped over to Australia, couldn't find it locally. Great communication from the websale team, good price, fast and safe shipping.

I recently bought an ESP LTD KH202 - Kirk Hammett Signature guitar online. It was sent to Auckland from Christchurch packaged well. The guitar itself is fantastic and what you would expect from ESP. However it didn’t come with a manual, nor tools for the Floyd Rose and wasn’t checked prior to sending. It would have been good for someone at the store to check it, adjust it and tune it before sending.

Communication via email was unclear around the terms of getting a product to the store prior to purchase. I waited two weeks and it arrived on a Tuesday. The most convenient time to test it out was Saturday. I was then told there would be no holds and if it sold it sold. This was not communicated on request for the product. Yes, it was the last unit in the country for Rockshop and I appreciate creating a sense of urgency but there was no discussion despite not being aware of conditions. As it happens I raced to the store before closing. . . Also, really do find many of the staff quite disinterested.

** reply below kind of misses the point - fully get and appreciate that the store doesn't know when something will arrive. The failure to set expectations to begin with, inability to work with the customer, and even to communicate from the start around deposits is what made the situation a poor experience. The same level of disinterest and poor customer service is apparent in store (with the exception of one member of staff. Generally just 'not interested'.**

I found what I wanted on website. Walked into the Henderson shop and showed the team what I wanted and they sorted the rest.

Dealing with the boys at shop

Came in with an issue with an old guitar processor and came out with a light 100 watt Amp that also is a processor for a great price .. The Amp a core 100 exceeded all expectations. Wohoo

I bought a new controller for my partner who is a DJ. It was quite a last minute decision, and I dealt with Lennon (not sure of spelling sorry), who was exceptional! He helped organise my purchase, ordering of a case from Wellington- and was generally just super awesome and helpful. Highly recommend, outstanding service- thank you.

I tend to shop online from The Rock shop. The service has always been great and if their has been any issues, the customer service/sales department has been prompt in resolving it. I would happily recommend the Rock Shop for your musical needs.

I finally bought a nice pearl flute, but the staff at the takapuna shop were very reluctant to allow me to try it out before purchase. Would also have liked to try the forza headjoint to see which one was best for me. Can't really see how you can sell musical instruments without a trial. And,after reading your reply...that would work with trumpets and clarinet, but not with flutes.

I was very impressed with the personal service at the shop and the delivery of my mic stand over to Waiheke.
