The scheduling, appointment reminders, pre-appointment form questions and format, and video-call system worked perfectly. In the past, I've had problems connecting with my therapists using a video conference call platform, so I was happy that this platform was so easy to use and reliable.

I was cautious about receiving therapy remotely but the process when quite smoothly. We (husband and I) have now met with our therapist 3 times and each time have received good information and somehomework to help us get our relationship back on track. It's pretty basic stuff but sometimes you just need that third ear to listen to both and get you both on the right track. Initially I tried to make appointments through other services, but their database of providers was outdated, resulting in frustration. Rula's database had accurate provider information and we were easily able to set up an appointment.

Once I found the right provider, my experience has been excellent!

10 days for my prescription request to clear your Clearinghouse is completely and absolutely absurd and this has happened 3 times in a row. Even if my provider weren't leaving your platform I would begin looking elsewhere. Going days, even a week without medication because your prescription system sucks is unsustainable. Fix your garbage system.

False information regarding insurance & what I pay. Also terrible communication from customer service.

This company really sucks! I don't know why my provider went this route but it is horrible! For a place dealing with mental health it will make you go off of the rails like I feel I am. They still haven't done my secondary insurance after months.

So, we are hitting another month with this company. I get an email saying we don't take your insurance and come to find out it is a lie. This company can't get anything right at all. Now I am on the phone trying to get this misinformation corrected but because the people they have hired don't understand English I have had to repeat myself 10 times no joke. Then they put you on hold because they can't get your information right. Now they have hung up the phone after placing me on hold! I am telling you if you have true mental health issues don't follow your provider to this place.

I really liked the initial experience of finding and being matched with a therapist. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up between EAP coverage and regular insurance, and the therapist I was matched with did not accept EAP. She sent me a kind message explaining that she would need to discontinue because she did not personally accept EAP.

I then contacted Rula support to ask what I thought was a very straightforward question: could I stop using the EAP benefit and simply have my visits billed through my regular insurance instead?

What followed was one of the most frustrating support experiences I’ve had. The support is online-only, and the conversations felt extremely rushed. On more than one occasion, the representative moved immediately to a “next step” and ended the chat before I had an opportunity to respond.

Afterward, I received an emailed transcript of one of those conversations. The transcript showed several messages from the representative indicating they were waiting for me to respond before eventually closing the chat. Those messages were never displayed to me during the live conversation. From my perspective, the chat simply ended abruptly while I was actively responding. Whether this was a technical issue or something else, the transcript did not reflect what I actually saw during the interaction, which was concerning.

I was then told someone else would contact me by email within 1–2 business days. When that response arrived, it gave me a lengthy explanation of what an Employee Assistance Program is and how EAP billing differs from insurance billing- but still did not answer the question I had asked: whether I could simply stop using EAP and bill my regular insurance instead.

The therapist-matching experience itself was excellent. Unfortunately, the support experience afterward was so difficult, circular, and poorly handled that I would not use the platform again.

My therapist is simply a perfect fit, clear, concise, thought provoking insight with a great spirit. I think being able to tell rula who you are looking for and then giving you options of who to be able to choose rather than them choosing for you works better.

After 30 years of being in therapy, I finally found a good therapist with Rula. Jessyca is amazing. Her approach is perfect. She adjusts it to suit each client. She remembers things about her clients and always works with them.
