This stat is, without doubt, the worst I have ever owned. It's okish when it works, but that's not often.
It never does the same thing twice. Sometimes when I turn it off, the app says off, but when checking later I find it's still running. It has on occasion run all night, even though I know I turned off. Before turning off now, I turn desired temp down to 8 degrees so if it doesn't turn off it's not gonna run the boiler.
No matter what I do it runs till room temperature is 1 or 1.5 degrees above requested target and often does not turn on until well below target temp.
To list all the problems I would need several hours.
Please, don't buy this rubbish.
Rt510tx Gives a cold house
Purchased a house a year ago that has this thermostat. Worked for November and December as I set up and has decided to not work in January. Thought the boiler had broken but itâs the thermostat not connecting to the receiver but showing me on the app when at work the heating is on as scheduled. Plumber connected multiple time next to receiver but wonât work.
He is getting me a better system but till then I have 1.5weeks of climbing in and out the loft to the boiler to turn the heating on/off manually and coming home at night to a cold house!
Reading the reviews I wish Iâd knowing this in late summer to have changed the system over.
Great service for a once off private individual customer
Here is a company that for me understands service. On Sunday I noticed that my 10 year old ITG500 Internet connector had failed. I sent them a message on Sunday evening asking for help, I got a response on Monday morning which I thought without looking was an acknowledgement of my message, but was in fact a response asking for more information. On Wednesday they sent a chaser saying they had not received a reply. On Thursday evening I took some pictures of my problem, asked if an ITG310 was a direct replacement and would it plug and play. Friday morning there was my answer with a direct link to purchase one. Direct link worked, ordered and paid, confirmation of free delivery from Yorkshire by DPD. Arrived 1000 Saturday morning and plugged in and working by 1100.
Well done Salus and in particular Joseph C. Would probably have been working after 48 hours from identifying the problem and 4 days earlier than it was if I had been as efficient

I bought a new build property in December 2020 .The properties central heating system is controlled by SALUS TRV31LS0'S. A week or so ago i discovered one TRV has half of the internal mechanism missing. On contacting Joseph Creffield of salus's technical team he was quite willing to blame the builder's plumber and he also accused me of tampering with the valve. He also added that because the house is nearly 4 years old the problem is nothing to do with them.The fact is they have supplied a valve that's not fit for purpose.It seems once this company has your money there's no after sales service what so ever.Not a jot of assistance was offered by Salus.
Fast, efficient service.
My SALUS RT520TX Thermostat control unit suddenly became unresponsive. Logged a ticket through the website. Got a reply on the same day. Got a new unit by the end of the week. Very happy with the service. It was straightforward and efficient. I personally would recommend. My handler Joseph was very understanding.

Outdated, glitchy and frustrating.
Have a JG Aura 2 heating system, installed by property developers which includes multi zone underfloor heating. Thermostats throughout home are very difficult to setup manually with timed programmes. Bought the separate internet module as research showed this made controlling the system easier using the JG Aura 2 app designed by Salus.
The app has always been very clunky and laggy. Now has spates of hanging preventing me from logging in to control my heating. Had this for 5 years now and thereâs no development to the app. Check iOS and Android stores for reviews. No integration with smart home apps like Alexa, Google or Apple Home.
Canât change for Hive as there are too many zones to control so will likely upgrade to a Honeywell system. Very frustrating and not a system I would recommend.

Wireless controls not fit for purpose
My system is badge-engineered as Omnie but it is Salus. The electronic implementation is highly flawed, lacking 'handshaking' to confirm signals or any regular repeats. The result is that the app does not reflect the actual states of the relays or actuators so the heating remains off when it should be on. Also, the app will sometimes not turn items on when the setpoint is clearly higher than the reported actual temperature. Crazy! I think that I will have to resort to removing an entire 10 zone system costing £thousands and replace with a dependable Honeywell system.
Salus terrible customer support
We have a Salus RT310i wireless boiler controller which regularly looses its pairing. We have a very robust WiFi signal. We can no longer have a warm house when we wake up or arrive home as the Salus gateway randomly fails and there is no way of programming a schedule because my iPhone will not communicate with receiver. Only manual control is available. If we look at the Salus gateway it simply cycles through having a red or green communication status LED.
The App is just a big joke. When we are out and about, we open the App and supposedly turn the boiler on - temp and red flame showing active. We get home and find the house cold because it hasnât actually turned the boiler on. There should be some âhandshakingâ process to ensure boiler has received signal and acted correctly. Other times we think we have turned the boiler off but have not and as a consequence rack up huge bills when we are out.
Technical help is unavailable by phone unless you are an âinstallerâ. The online help âSallyâ is beyond useless - just keeps asking you the same question over and over. The messaging and email support just does not respond.
Seems like the behaviour of a company going south.
I would recommend you to buy a more trusted controller.
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service - I have an iT500 which stopped working today due to errors at the Salus End. Impossible to speak with anybody , only learnt of problem via Facebook, manual thermostat almost impossible to understand . It's December and the house is cold. It's the lack of information that's so frustrating.

No connection, no support, and now my house is freezing
Not only the app does not connect for no apparent reason, but even the online support on the website is completely clueless. They keep asking me the same question in a loop. Result? It's December and we can't turn on the heating system. Wow! Well done. Maybe we should team up and sue the company.
SALUS leaves me cold and poorer
After many attempts of communicating with SALUS engineers (there is no telephone or email address for them), just SALUS Sales) I was finally told that I would need to buy a new thermostat. This was after nearly 18 months of my heating not working. I bought it but it did not work either. I called an independent engineer to fix it but he found that it was the main cpu at fault. Although it was he that had installed the original SALUS system he said that he had had many customers for whom it failed and so installed a HIVE system instead.
I tried to send the controller back to SALUS but they said that they never do refunds. If I had used Hive in the first place I believe I might have had a system that worked, had customer service if it failed, and would have had a refund 9f not satisfied. SALUS have no concept of keeping customers happy. Avoid.

I have a RT310i.
It has never worked properly on the app. It buffers, it indicates that it us on when it's off and it indicates that it's off when it's on.
I have oil central heating and this controller has probably cost me £100's in wasted oil.
I have unpaired and paired it more times than I care to remember, have gone through every fix recommended by the tech team but still it doesn't work properly.
Don't waste your money on a Salus.

I just installed this products recievers and the wifi thermostath.
Hard ware seems ok.
The app is slow and does not have many features.
To bad there zigbee protocol is not open for other Gatewayâs and apps that perform better.
Salus customer service or rather lack of the same
It seems impossible to get in touch with this company. I have 2 of their RT 510 thermostats and I've proven 1 of them to be inaccurate with its temperature reading. Despite several attempts I have failed to get an acknowledgement about this from anyone at Salus/
I guess it's time to look for a non Salus replacement. A very bad business.

Do not buy this! I have this brand and the unit is constantly unpairing and not working. The support offered by the company is shocking. You can not get through to customer service.
So my house is currently freezing and salus are no where to be seen.
