Worst company I have ever dealt with

Worst company I have ever dealt with, webchat not working, automatic online settlement generator not working, two hour waiting time to speak to someone, all this to pay the company back. Lets all take days off work to be able to speak to Santander consumer finance.

Absolutely diabolical service when i…

Absolutely diabolical service when i say service there isn't any at all I've been trying for a week to pay off my car finance still not spoke to anyone on phone now from 9am and its 09:50am im fuming I'm having to waste hours of my time to these. No chat available as you just wait on that to . Never ever again you morons.

V5 log book not forthcoming

I paid the final balance of finance for my car on 13/9 and had a letter confirming this. Despite numerous phone calls, emails, Chat room black hole of robotic answers, I still have no clue when I will receive my V5 log book. I am not minded to pay £25 to DVLA for a new one, I am no man’s land.

Let's get together and complain about them…

According to research results, this campaign may be the worst. What I don't understand is why no institution or organization is dealing with this company. It is very interesting that such a campaign is still running. 99% of customers complain about the services of this company. We lower-class people never knew and never will know that we have the greatest power. If all the dissatisfied customers unite and sue, I'm sure they will close this company eventually. Because everyone is complaining and the guys don't even write a reply. Because they don't care about us and they know that they will do all kinds of crap, but we will always feed them and add strength to their power. This applies to everything. Unfortunately, we will always be crushed unless the people of the lower class use their power. And I have no doubt that it will always continue like this…

AVOID

On hold for hours as their web form is as useful as a chocolate teapot only to be cutoff at 5pm sharp.

Tried their web chat and get told "Oh we can't generate and email settlement figures" (like every other finance provider can) "you'll need to wait for it to arrive by post". Utter joke of a company, stuck in the dark ages.

I wish I could give them 0 stars but…

I wish I could give them 0 stars but that's not technically possible.
I paid my balance in full (vehicle finance) on 15th September, I was expecting the clearance in the following 2-3 days. On 20th they took another installment from my bank account. Today, on 26th September, my agreement hasn't been settled yet nor the money from that installment refunded. I emailed the customer services on 20th to ask for clarification, they never got back to me. I also had countless of telephone discussions with basically some bots, because I'm not sure I can call them humans.The level of incompetence is outrageous.

They keep on taking...

My insurance company paid Santander in full for my car finance after my car was written off.
Approx 10 days later Santander decided to take another car finance payment of £459.04 from my bank account. After numerous emails, several hours holding on the phone for days on end I finally got through.
Their explanation was they had to wait for a bank transfer from Churchill to clear...I've never heard of anyone having to wait for a bank transfer to clear.
Now they tell me I have to wait another 10 days for my payment to be refunded.
I asked for interest to be paid for them taking money which they were not owed as I paid extortionate interest on what I legally borrowed off them...he said no I'd be refunded what they took.
I'll never take out any type of finance with Santander ever again.
I'd advise anyone to bank locally.

Horrendous customer service it is…

Horrendous customer service it is actually impossible to speak to someone at Santander over the phone every time I call I am on hold for over an hour before bring cut off very very frustrating would not recommend using Santander to anyone. Terrible Terrible customer service 😤😤😤

Never trust a Spanish Bank

Never trust a Spanish Bank - they regard your account as their money not yours! La Caixa refused to close my Spanish Account but blocked it. They continued to charge me for using it. I wrote a cheque for 27000 euros to be paid into my Cahoot (Santander) account after discussing the matter with Cahoot. I was told it could take up to 2 months to clear. It was retuned unpaid after 2 months. La Caixa refused to tell me why and Cahoot refused to ask them. I then noticed £270 had been charged to my Cahoot Account for bouncing a cheque on myself. Cahoot never enquired as to what this related to, and have refused to assist further. After 12 years as a customer, I shall be taking my account elsewhere and suing them.

Where to start

Where to start - no response to a submitted web form, no response to a contact us email, no answer when trying to phone...... Your customer service is awful..... Im not surprised at your low rating on here..... Just respond to my email request and treat your customers with a decent amount of regard.

If I could give them a zero I would. I got a vehicle back in 2018 with Santander for my loan. At the time I had no choice because I needed a vehicle to work as a single parent. I was working almost five jobs still struggling trying to get this vehicle paid off. 2020 hit and I was able to get a request for help for a month. So I paid what I could etc etc and I was still having trouble trying to pay it. So I called them up again trying to get help and they rejected me okay then. So I still try to pay what I could when I could, still falling behind. So I called them again probably around the end of 2021 beginning of 2022, I asked them how much I have paid off on this vehicle. They told me I paid about $14,000 and then I asked them how much I still owed, they said 17,000 and the vehicle at the time when I purchased it was 20,000. So only $3,000 has gone into this vehicle. I'm not going to lie when I heard that I was immediately upset. I have worked five jobs trying to pay this vehicle off for what? I know I have a high APR but that's a little ridiculous that only $3,000 has gone into a vehicle but I've been paying for over 4 years. I stopped paying because that pissed me off. So now my car is getting repossessed as of today or tomorrow, they wouldn't work with me about making some type of payment arrangement of what I could pay. They kept telling me I wasn't qualified anymore. So they have just gotten all this money out of me me struggling to make sure I have a vehicle to work and get my children to appointments and everything. And I did my very best
