You are absolutely right to raise this and we want to address it directly. The content across our six resource pillars, including videos, blogs and expert guidance, is in the process of being fully published and we appreciate that you have encountered sections that are not yet live. This is something we are actively working to resolve and we apologise that your experience was affected by this during what is clearly an important time for you following your results.
Regarding the consultation booking, we completely understand how important it is to be able to speak with someone who can help you interpret your scores and understand what they mean for you. The Understanding Your Report section within your dashboard is designed to give you context around your T-score and Z-score, but we hear you that the video content did not feel personalised enough to your specific results. This is really valuable feedback and something we are actively working to improve.

Sally, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and we are glad you found the team lovely. We are sorry however that the experience did not feel as clear and informative as it should have, and we want to address your points directly.

You are absolutely right that we should have explained upfront how REMS technology differs from a DEXA scan and what it measures. REMS uses advanced ultrasound to assess bone density and bone quality at the hip and spine, and while it does not scan the arms, legs or neck, this is by design. The hip and spine are the two most clinically significant sites for assessing fracture risk and osteoporosis, and the REMS technology is specifically validated and optimised for these areas. DEXA similarly focuses on these same sites for the same clinical reasons, so the comparable data between the two assessments is intentional rather than a limitation.

We also hear you on the partial hip replacement point. Scanning the opposite hip in that situation was the correct clinical approach, and again this is something our team should have explained clearly at the time rather than leaving you to piece together afterwards.

Most importantly, you should never leave an experience with Screen My Bones feeling that you do not have the tools and understanding of your results and what they mean for you. That did not happen here and we are sorry.
