I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using Searadar.
My experience with them has been extremely frustrating and stressful, and their service does not reflect the ratings they appear to have online.
I booked a charter through them last year and had great difficulty getting confirmation. It ultimately took a negative review and direct contact with the charter company to push Searadar to release the funds I had already paid. This only happened two days before departure, causing unnecessary stress.
Following that, Searadar asked me to remove my review in exchange for a voucher and assurances that my next experience would be much improved.
Unfortunately, I am now dealing with the same issue again.
Despite taking payment, they have not paid the deposit to the charter company and are now requesting the final balance from me—even though the charter has not actually been secured. I contacted the charter company directly, and they confirmed that no booking exists under my name.
Searadar has yet to provide a clear update on the status of my booking, and my charter is due to begin on May 9th. I am now in a position where I may need to source an alternative yacht at short notice.
Based on my experience, I have serious concerns about how this company operates. At best, they appear to have ongoing financial or operational issues; at worst, their practices are highly misleading.
I would strongly recommend booking directly with charter companies rather than through Searadar.

I am sharing my experience with SeaRadar based strictly on documented facts.
On November 24, 2025, I made a full payment of €2,762 for a yacht booking through SeaRadar and received a booking confirmation. However, after months without receiving a charter contract, I contacted the charter company directly, GAIS.
Their official written response confirmed that:
– the initial reservation was cancelled due to non-payment by SeaRadar,
– no valid booking exists under my name,
– and they have terminated cooperation with SeaRadar.
As of today, I have paid in full, but the service has not been secured or provided.
I am currently requesting a full refund and pursuing resolution through appropriate channels.
I strongly recommend verifying directly with the charter company before making any payment through this platform.
Update 16 apr 2026:
Update (based on documented facts):
Following my previous review about SeaRadar, I would like to provide an update on the situation.
After several months during which my booking was not secured despite full payment made on November 24, 2025 (€2,762), I contacted the charter company directly, GAIS.
They confirmed in writing that the original reservation had been cancelled due to non-payment by SeaRadar.
Following my intervention, a new booking has now been issued with GAIS for the same boat, period (03–17 October 2026) and price.
However, at this moment:
– only 70% of the amount has been transferred to the charter company,
– the remaining 30% is still to be paid by SeaRadar at a later stage, according to their internal arrangements.
While the booking is currently confirmed, the situation is not fully closed, as the full payment (which I already made in November) has not yet been received by the Owner.
I will continue to update this review based on factual developments and written confirmations.

The company thinks about making things easier for sailers. The less worries we are on the boat, the better the experience and the more good memories we have.

The organization was good overall. The booking process was fast and easy, so we did not have to focus much on organizational issues and could instead enjoy the preparation for the journey. Alboran (the yacht owner) was somewhat difficult to reach in remote communication, but in these cases, Searadar helped resolve all issues in a timely manner.

When a charterer can’t deliver the booked vessel, they work hard to secure a replacement regardless of company providing that is suitable.
