Know what you have
The best advice I can give is, do your homework. Have an idea what your gold is worth, before, you send it to this company.
I sent them a gold wedding band, that I had been offered $400 at a local pawn shop. Sellyourgold.com offered me $325 for it. I told them I had already been offered $400, so I declined their offer and requested they return the ring. Less than an hour later, they came back and offered me $425.
Frankly, I was a little annoyed that they didn't give me their best offer first, so I replied with, I will accept $500, but if that's not agreeable, please return the ring. I fully expected them to decline my offer and return the ring. Less than an hour later they came back and agreed to $500. I accepted it, because I told them that I would. But I have this nagging feeling that I could have gotten even more.
Sellyourgold.com is not going to give you more money than anybody else, unless you have an idea of what your gold is worth. They know what it's worth, but they're hoping you don't.
I'm updating this to comment on their reply. They said the price is based on weight and purity. I'd like to point out, the weight and purity did not change, but their offer did. I stand by my initial observation. They will lowball you if you don't know what you have.

This was my first time selling my jewelry on line.
They give you all of the supplies you need to make sure your jewelry gets there safely. They also use FedEx to pick-up your package and give you the mailing label. They give your several stores to use that might be in your community. I mailed mine on Saturday, they received it on Monday and gave me an offer today, Tuesday.
I called them on Monday with a few questions and Kenneth was very friendly and answered all of my questions.
It was a small amount of jewelry so I am very happy and satisfied with their offer.
I would use again and recommend "Sell Your Gold" if your going to use the internet.
