As a patient who recently underwent a hair transplant at Seneca, I feel the need to share my experience. From the very first moment of diagnosis up until today, the care I have received from the entire Seneca team has been exceptional.
Especially from the medical team that took care of me. I truly have no words to describe their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine interest in achieving the best possible result for me. My doctor explained every step before starting any procedure, and the truth is, I didn’t feel any pain at all (despite how anxious I was at the beginning).
Honestly, I believe I couldn’t have made a better choice for a hair transplant clinic in Greece. Even though it’s still very early, I already feel satisfied with the results so far, as I can see that where I previously had no hair, I now do (as you can see in the photo).

I recently underwent a hair transplant at Seneca Hair Restoration Athens and wanted to share my experience.

From the very beginning, the entire team was professional, courteous, attentive, and genuinely sensitive to my needs and concerns. Every question I had was answered patiently and in detail, which gave me a great sense of confidence throughout the process.

The procedure itself was much easier than I expected. I had two sessions, and on both days I was actually able to go out afterward, walk around Athens, enjoy the city, and even do some shopping. That was a pleasant surprise and made the overall

Even before visiting Seneca, I had already heard the best from friends and acquaintances. It truly is the best hair transplant clinic. The fact that the procedures are carried out by specialized doctors, the personalized treatments, the company’s 39 years of experience and its distinctions, as well as what I saw with my own eyes in the results of people around me, eliminated any possible doubt I had.

From my very first interaction with their team, I realized I was in good hands. They explained the process step by step, we set the final goal for the result together, and they answered every possible question I had. The doctor who performed the transplant was by my side for any concern I had, which truly gives you a sense of security.

As for the transplant procedure? No discomfort, no pain, an atmosphere of complete trust, and most importantly: I was able to immediately return to my daily routine without any restrictions.

When leaving Seneca, they once again explained all the next steps in great detail, and the first results are already visible. At this point, the only thing I regret is not having done it sooner.

I cannot express how happy I am with my decision to choose Seneca for my hair transplant. For years, I watched my hairline recede and my confidence dip along with it, but the team here completely turned that around! From the very first consultation, Dr. Gounnaris and the entire staff were incredible. They didn't just give me a sales pitch; they gave me a realistic, professional assessment and walked me through the entire FUE process. They made me feel like a VIP, answering every single one of my "nervous patient" questions with total patience.

The CEO and the manager of Athens clinic were very kind to me. The doctor was very professional — top class. She advised me based on more than 20 years of experience and I followed her advice. All the receptionists and staff were amazing from top to bottom, and I am very happy with the results.

I first met Charles at Seneca’s Glasgow clinic back in 2021. At the time, I chose to go to Turkey purely on price. Fast forward to 2026, I returned to Seneca for a top-up transplant to fill in gaps that had appeared as my remaining original hair naturally shed after the Turkey procedure.

Having now had a hair transplant both in Turkey and with Seneca in Glasgow, I can honestly say the difference is night and day, especially in the pre and post-care, the procedure experience itself, and, most importantly, the healing.

Here are the points I know most people (myself included) care about:

Price
Seneca offers some of the best price-to-value I’ve seen in the UK. You’re getting first-class care and quality without paying the eye-watering premiums some other clinics quote. If anything, I now regret trying to save a grand by going abroad in the first place, I should have gone to Seneca from day one.

Procedure
To be clear, Turkey did a decent job and I don’t regret getting a hair transplant at all. But the overall experience with Seneca is on another level. The consultation process and aftercare felt far more thorough and reassuring, and the procedure itself was noticeably more comfortable. It was genuinely so manageable I nearly fell asleep a few times. Dr Eleanna Vourga was absolutely first-class throughout.

Healing
My healing in Turkey was brutal. There was more bleeding and scabbing, it took much longer, and I lost a lot of grafts during the recovery, I could literally see them coming out. With Seneca, the difference was immediate. By around day 10 everything had healed very cleanly, with minimal scabbing, and I haven’t seen a single graft dislodge or come out.

Overall
From my initial meeting with Charles in Glasgow through to the procedure with Dr Eleanna Vourga and the wider team, Seneca has been brilliant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. It’s a genuinely first-class experience at a very fair price, and I wanted to leave this review to say a massive thank you to everyone at Seneca.

As a patient who underwent a two-day procedure at Seneca, I can say with absolute certainty that my experience was exceptional from start to finish. From the very first moment, I felt safe and confident. The medical team and the doctor were constantly by my side, explaining every stage of the process and ensuring that I felt comfortable and at ease throughout.
What truly stood out was their professional yet genuinely human approach. The level of services I received, as well as the clinic’s facilities, fully meet international standards, absolutely justifying its reputation as a top hair transplant clinic in Europe and Greece.

Review of Hair Transplantation – SENECA Athens, February 2 & 3, 2026
My decision to undergo a hair transplant was made quickly, but finding the right clinic was very important to me. I did extensive research, visited several clinics in Vienna and Hungary, and also received offers from several well-known clinics in Istanbul. I also received an offer from SENECA Clinic in Athens, about which I had only heard and read positive things.
For several reasons, I decided to choose SENECA Clinic. What I particularly appreciated was that the entire procedure is performed by a doctor. The preliminary consultations—both in person and via WhatsApp—with my coordinator Chrysa also convinced me. She was consistently very professional and informative.
The atmosphere alone, starting from the entrance and the reception area at SENECA, impressed me and gave me a warm and reassuring feeling. The entire staff was polite, attentive, and made me feel welcome.
I am very grateful for the recommendation to book Dr. Fotis Papadopoulos for my treatment. Dr. Fotis and his assistants always made sure that I was comfortable and well taken care of.
My hair transplant was divided over two days. To my surprise, I experienced little to no pain on both days. Dr. Fotis regularly checked whether everything was okay and ensured that I felt almost nothing during the procedure.
At present, I am very satisfied with the procedure. However, the most important aspect is the final result, and I expect to see the first visible results in approximately 3–4 months. This will confirm how successful and well-performed the hair transplant truly was. I will certainly provide another update in the future.

I am extremely satisfied with my experience at Seneca Medical Group in Athens and I highly recommend it without any hesitation.

Since I live abroad, all the initial communication was done by phone. From the very beginning, the service was excellent. They answered every question I had and provided all the information I needed in order to confidently choose this clinic. Before my appointment, which took place on January 7th, I received clear and detailed instructions on how to prepare for the hair transplant.

On the day of the procedure, the entire process lasted around 8 hours. The doctor and the nurses were constantly by my side, very professional and supportive. The clinic was spotlessly clean, well-organized, and extremely well maintained. I was given thorough explanations for every step of the procedure, and all my questions were answered, which made me feel completely at ease.

In terms of pain, it was practically nonexistent. There were only a few brief moments of mild discomfort during the local anesthesia, and even that was lighter than a typical visit to the dentist. The doctor did an excellent job, clearly focusing on achieving the most natural-looking result possible.

Post-operatively, I felt a slight discomfort only during the first night, which went away immediately with a simple painkiller. Sleeping during the first 3–4 days can be a bit uncomfortable due to the specific position required, but it is manageable and passes quickly. The washing process followed exactly the instructions I was given, and everything went smoothly, with nothing unpleasant or difficult.

I also really appreciated the fact that there was no pressure to purchase specific post-op products from the clinic. I personally chose to buy them, they were reasonably priced, and even now the team continues to be available and responsive to any questions I may have.

I had many doubts about whether I should do the procedure abroad or in Greece, and which clinic to choose. In the end, Seneca Hair Clinic proved to be an excellent decision. I will come back with an updated review in the coming months once the results have fully developed, but so far, they are truly among the best.

I had my hair transplant 3 weeks ago, so my review is only based on my experience with the clinic and the weeks after.

My experience with Seneca MC in Athens has been fantastic from the very beginning. The communication and booking process were great, and I never felt they were trying to push me into booking, as most of the other clinics I spoke to whilst doing my research did. Also, Seneca seemed very genuine and honest which I don’t feel is a given based on my conversations with other clinics. Another thing I really appreciate is that I could choose my own doctor.

My procedure was split over two days. I was a bit nervous on the first day, especially after hearing some horrible stories about experiences at other clinics (mostly in Turkey), but the professionalism from the doctor and the team made me feel very safe.

The procedure itself went great. I didn’t have any major pain, (the local anaesthetics were honestly the worst part) and on the second day I even dozed off during the procedure. The day after my surgery I went in for a checkup and bandage change, and then I flew back home to Copenhagen in the evening.

Up until now, everything in the healing process has gone exactly as expected. I was given a clear plan and day-by-day instructions. The clinic reached out a week after the surgery to check on how I was healing which I didn’t expect them to do. That’s just another positive thing to add to the whole experience. I also have three follow-up appointments over the next year.

Right now, I’m still a tiny bit sore in both the donor area and recipient area, but it all looks so good and you wouldn’t be able to tell I had a hair transplant unless you knew. I have been in the shock-loss phase for the past week now, but only a small amount of hair has fallen out so far.

Huge thank you to Chrysa, Dr. Elza, and the whole team. They took such good care of me, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience. I’m very thankful for that.

Of course, the final result isn’t visible yet, but so far the experience has been great, and based on this I can 100% recommend the Seneca Medical Clinic in Athens.

Great experience from start to finish. Ended up at Seneca Glasgow clinic due a broker messing me around and it was like a breath of fresh air dealing with these guys from the moment I walked in the door.

Professional friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Dr Eleanna Vourga and her nurse got me prepped and carried out the procedure which took around 8 hours (with a lovely provided lunch in the middle).

2 months in and I'm already seeing real results which was beyond my expectations.

They have had regular phone check in's with me to make sure everything is OK and answer an silly questions i may have and also provide face to face check up's at months 2, 6 and 12 which is an added bonus.

Highly recommend this clinic if your looking for a professional, reasonably priced hair transplant without having to travel.

Charles was very helpful and provided me with a free consultation regarding my hair line in their clinic in Finnieston, Glasgow. In the heart of the west end, a very modern clinic with high end technology.

We agreed a treatment plan at a price I could afford over 2 years at 0% APR.

I felt comfortable at the clinic and they have all the nice touches like some free healthy juices and some snacks while you wait. I didn’t wait long though as Charles was there straight away to deal with me.

Very state of the art clinic with technology you can rely on.

From the moment I entered to the moment I left, I felt at ease and very comfortable with little to no nerves about my treatment plan.

Charles and the clinic / team are professional and I was only in the clinic for approximately 45 minutes which was fast.

They do go beyond for their clients, you can tell from how in depth the initial consult is.

First class service. I came after a very warm recommendation from a friend that did his hair transplant in Seneca, after thoroughly researching where is the best place in terms of technology and professionalism. I am so happy that I followed his advice - the clinic from the moment I reached out for consultation was so responsive and patient, sensitively asnwered all my concerens and questions. On the day of transplant itself I met with the doctor, Dr. Elsa, which was amazing - both personally and profesionally. I felt immediately I was in good hands and had my full faith in her hands, which eventually did a remarkable job. Although it's quite early to judge, I am VERY happy with the result and my new hairline. Big thank you to Dr. Elsa and Dr. George, who accompanied me during the entire process.
