Avoid – Refuse to refund lost returns despite proof of postage

I’m incredibly frustrated with Senkels. I returned Order #58893 two months ago, providing full proof of postage and photos of the package.

Despite following all procedures, they refuse to refund me because they claim the item hasn't reached them. Under consumer protection guidelines (Consumer Rights Act), the retailer is responsible for items lost in transit once the customer provides proof of dispatch. Instead of my money back, they offered a useless discount code.

Since I challenged this "final resolution," the company has stopped responding to my emails entirely. I am now forced to escalate this through a bank chargeback and report them to Trading Standards for their refusal to honor my legal refund rights.

We're sorry to hear about your frustration, and we understand how disappointing this experience must be. We never want a customer to feel unheard, so we'd like to offer some clarity on this matter.

We take returns very seriously and have a straightforward process in place to ensure they run smoothly. In this case, the item unfortunately never arrived back at our warehouse. While we appreciate that a postal receipt was provided, it did not include any tracking information, which means neither we nor the carrier can confirm the parcel was dispatched to us or verify its journey. A receipt of postage alone, without trackable proof of delivery, doesn't allow us to locate or confirm a return.

This is exactly why we always recommend using a tracked return service. It protects both our customers and us by providing a clear chain of custody. Without tracking, we simply aren't able to process a refund for a package we have no record of receiving.

That said, as a gesture of goodwill, our team did offer a discount toward a future order. Not as a replacement for your rights, but as an acknowledgment of the situation while working within the limits of what we could verify.

We absolutely have not ignored any correspondence. If there are outstanding emails, we'd encourage you to reach out to us again and we'll be happy to revisit this with you directly.

We value every customer and always aim to find a fair resolution.

Versand und Lieferzeiten leider schlecht..

Versand und Lieferzeiten unter aller Kanone leider. Bis zur Übergabe an den Versanddienstleister sind schon 10 Tage vergangen. Bis es dann war bei mir war sind weitere 10 Tage ins Land gegangen. Finde ich schade, wenn es anders auf der Seite suggeriert wird. Denke ich bestelle das nÀchste Mal woanders.

Ballentent

Een zwarte en een witte veter voor twee Filling Pieces schoenen gekocht a 15 euro per stuk, je leest het goed, 15 euro per stuk

Een zwarte en een witte besteld. In de order hebben ze daar 2 zwarte van gemaakt. Uiteindelijk na ruim een maand zijn 2 witte geleverd.

Contact gehad, na een paar heen en weer mailtjes zou een zwarte nageleverd worden.

Inmiddels 2 weken verder, nog geen enkel verzendbericht ontvangen. Op mijn schrijven wanneer ik de veter kan verwachten geen antwoord gekregen.

De kwaliteit van de geleverde 2 witte veters is een stuk minder dan die van filling pieces, ze adverteren het wel al vervanging voor FP.
Ballentent, voor mij en mensen om mij heen echt nooit meer.

Finally received my order.

Received my order after loong time

Ordered two pairs of laces mid-December 2025, but didn’t receive anything. Senkels has kindly answered my mails, and confirmed the order, and replied that it has been shipped. They also did resend the laces.

But didn’t receive it.

UPDATE FEBRUARY 2026

I finally received the laces! They are very nice at fit my shoes very well. I would recommend them. But I hope it goes a bit faster next time..

I love my new purple laces

I love my new purple laces, they are such good quality. The only negative experience I would say I had was the lack of description on the website of processing time and how long the laces take to make. Because its a niche product I think people have a warped idea of the length of time it takes to make this product (myself included) and I nearly dropped a message because it had been two weeks and I hadn't heard anything, but then they got sent that day. Also, shop tracking is pretty unreliable, on the day I received my laces the tracking was still on "shipping label created" which really doesn't reflect well on the company - even though its not their problem , but apart from those two point I am really happy with the service and love the vibrant range of colours.

Jeg bestilte d. 4. Januar. Jeg betalte d. 6. Januar. I dag d. 17. Januar er de sendt. Det er snÞrebånd, til en hÞj pris og så er de sendt 11 dage efter de har trukket pengene. Det er ikke et trovÊrdigt firma.

False advertising!

Pathetic excuse for a business. They advertise free shipping to all countries when you purchase two pairs of laces. But when you go to check out, they charge you for shipping! I notified them of this and they STILL refuse to provide free shipping on my order. I’ll never shop there again.
