Very disappointing and 3rd class service I won't recommend anyone to have any kind of insurance with Sharecover . They are the worst .

I had a car insurance with this company but not reliable and trustworthy. The service is not up to mark. Not responding the emails on time. The representatives are rude and not providing right solution.
I had an accident and I was not at fault. Still, did not offer me a hire car and refer me to a third party company to settle up for my repairs. I can say they are a "Fraud Company"

I put a claim with them weeks ago and still haven't received any word back from them. Their is no phone support. Definitely a scam company. Wasted my money paying them premiums.
The worst service ever
The worst service ever! To get some answers back on my email take more than weeks or months. Can't even login to my account. My windscreen has not been repaired for weeks so I couldn't drive. When I called them their agent put me on hold which took her 40 min. and then she hung up? No call back? This is disgusting!

Contact number not working, can't lodge claim online
I am needing to make a claim with ShareCover for Short-stay hosts/accommodation.
ShareCover is backed by parent company Insurance Australia Group (IAG) and is also listed and recommended on the NRMA website.
ShareCover has no working contact number for their short-stay insurance, no after-hours or emergency support (during an already stressful time), and I am unable to even lodge a claim online through their website. The only section of their website that is working is where they accept payments.

System "upgrade" disaster!
Up until recently I would have given them several stars. We have used them for two years for our short-term stay insurance, and everything was reasonably seamless. And then they decided to "upgrade their system". Immediately all our upcoming policies disappeared from the system. Nothing was available for two weeks. When I tried to register a new policy, suddenly all my past policies appeared, but with different policy numbers, and the wrong cover dates. All my details for the insurance policy - which I had used more than 100 times over the past two years - had disappeared. Now, every time I request a new policy, I have to re-enter details about my house, how old it is, how it is constructed, etc, etc . I have sent multiple emails and have yet to hear back from them about the wrong dates on our existing policies. I am tempted to now only take bookings through Airbnb and HomeAway, who include their own home and PLI insurance, thus rendering Sharecover unnecessary.
Excellent service
I emailed ShareCover and someone phoned me very quickly to speak to me about my query. The service I received from the operator was outstanding. She was very knowledgable and explained things to me in a way that I could understand them. Reading the PDS was easy to understand and covered more than I could have even thought of. I'm very impressed and have started my policy with ShareCover.

Customer care matters
I had a positive experience with the lady at NRMA who referred me also to Sharecover given our plan to run the property on short term rental (with AIRBNB etc). The lady at Sharecover was also terrific. She listened and explained well. Also provided her direct contact should it be required. I have since called her for clarification on a few points and she was very responsive. Both women sounded knowledgeable and professional. I agree the customer experience in that interface is critical and it went a long way to me selecting your policy. Thanks.
Buying the insurance is actually really…
Buying the insurance is actually really easy with their web app. Not a lot of confusion or bewildering options. I had to ask for help about 6 months into the policy and they called me straight back after my online request. I was immediately talking to a helpful human. She knew the product and the business systems like an expert so much so I asked her about it and she had actually had a hand in designing the policy. I was really impressed.
Previous insurance company declined to cover our AirBnB
Our previous insurance company declined to renew our home and contents policy because we had begun to offer an AirBnB stay in a part of our home
A quick internet search found ShareCover and a very friendly and helpful telephone call 2 minutes later and we were back in the black!
And to top it all off, we saved money in the process. How good is that!

Our property was badly damaged by short-term guests. We had to call the police multiple times to evict.
We were very lucky to have sharecover. Not only do sharecover gives us a peace of mind when something went wrong, but they also sympathise with our situation. When something goes wrong, we felt the world was crushing us. But, speaking to a sharecover consultant gives us peace, that all will be okay.
The wait time was longer than we expected, but we are just glad that everything was sorted out and we can restore our property to its respectable state.

Not sure why it asks how many guests as this doesn’t seem to have any effect on premium pricing.
