So glad I met Shelby
I was put on my first diet at six and almost sixty years later, am still trying to lose those pounds plus many more. The last round of losing and gaining it all back left me so angry and scared because I had tried everything and failed, but then I met Shelby. She brought me back to doing the things that are fun and good for me and taught me to slow down and how to pay attention to what my body was telling me instead of my brain. It was so neat to find an encouraging email or a text from her early on a day that she knew was going to be difficult.
Shelby cleared out the “diet rules” and gave me a safe place to just breathe and to laugh and learn without the focus on the scale – to believe that I can be okay inside while still working on my outside. It was hard to trust that what she was teaching me would actually work, but once I did, the weight started coming off without the whole diet drama --sounds crazy, but it’s true! I am so thankful for Shelby giving me the support and tools I need to keep working toward my health and weight goals and it’s a real blessing to have her as coach, teacher, and friend.

I cannot thank Shelby enough for how she’s changed my life and helped me significantly. Before working with Shelby I felt hopeless about getting to a place where I valued myself and was able to have a healthy relationship with food. Working with Shelby has changed my life. When we first met, I felt entirely consumed by my obsession with food and dieting. So much of my self-esteem was connected to whether or not I had succeeded in adhering to a diet plan. It wasn't long before I realized that my obsessive dieting behavior had nothing to do with food, but rather with a need to feel in control and distract myself from emotions that I thought I wasn't strong enough to face. Through this journey, Shelby was a steady calming, reassuring presence. She reminded me regularly that while my coping mechanisms were a logical result of how I'd experienced life up to that point, they were no longer serving - and even better, I could choose to change them! I've learned that I'm strong and capable of doing difficult things and these are lessons that I'm not utilizing in every aspect of my life. EVERY SINGLE PERSON could benefit from work with Shelby. Whatever kind of issue you are struggling with, this program will help you: Shelby gets to the root issues and helps you discover how to re-wire your brain to look at those issues differently. After this program, it feels like you're living in your same world, but looking at it through refreshed eyes. You become able to observe your own thought patterns and behaviors, and break cycles that aren't serving you well. This is SO MUCH MORE than a nutrition or weight loss or even body image program. Shelby is amazing! First and foremost, I would highly recommend Shelby’s coaching to anyone who struggles with food, eating disorders, diets, etc. One of the many things I loved about choosing her to help me, is that you actually get to work with Shelby! She doesn’t pass you off to another person on her team, which is key. From the first phone call I had with her, she listened, took notes, asked questions, and really tried to get to know me and understand and what I needed help with. I felt so comfortable and felt a great connection from that first call. If anyone is skeptical about paying a high cost for her services, let me say this… I was as well, BUT, I was also tired of spending money on diets and food plans that didn’t work. My eating disorder and how much time I was spending on thinking about what to eat and what not to eat, cost me a lot more than money… it was costing me my health and mental wellbeing. Shelby is worth the money she charges, hands-down. Shelby helped me with the mind-behavior connection with food. I really enjoyed that after every meeting we had, she emailed me “focus points” so that I could print those out and remind myself everyday. Lastly, she was very responsive and available via text and email, so it felt like you always had someone in your corner. Also, she’s just a great and fun person to talk to and is now a good friend. Everyone needs a Shelby! Shelby dives into the deeper core issues that cause stress and triggers for emotional eating. Part counselor, part coach, part friend, she helps you navigate the physical, mental and emotional challenges that have derailed other efforts for not just weight loss but a better overall life experience. Unlike the therapy world where opinions can't be shared, she shares hers in a way that helps you work through your own issues with greater confidence. Twelve weeks went by far too fast and ultimately, when you embark on this journey, you realize realistically that 12 weeks isn't enough to undo years of psychological bad habits. Be ready to take the tools and lessons beyond the coaching sessions as like any big change, it takes time. I have already seen positive change from sleeping better, identification of triggers and recognizing and reducing self-trash-talk. I don't think my weight has changed much at this point but the steps to get there are well underway along with greater happiness. The diet and therapy industry need to model Shelby's paradigm in lifestyle and wellness coaching!

I was SO skeptical at the beginning and even several weeks into this process. I have never come across someone (and I have tried many different avenues) I could be completely relaxed with until Shelby. I was able to connect with Shelby from day 1. She heard me, she understood what I was trying to say even when I couldn't get it out, she truly listened and offered great tools. The tools are not complicated; they are there for you to use if you put in the effort. I have carried this monkey on my back for most of my life and with Shelby's help this monkey is slowing beginning to reach for another forest to live in. I can't say thank you enough to Shelby for teaching me to look deeper and go to those uncomfortable levels. Every day is a small step but it is a step to a better and happier me. Thank you my friend!

Shelby has changed my life! I originally signed up to work with her because I wanted to lose weight and I tried so many different methods in the past. However, through her step by step process, helpful videos, our weekly zoom calls, and focus points, she has helped me to realize the importance of all around self-care and helped me to fully love me again. I am still going through the process and we are all works in progress, but I cannot thank Shelby enough for her incredible insight, wisdom, and information. I know now that not only will I reach all of my goals, but I also realize how much I deserve to!
Invest in yourself
We hire a mechanic when our car breaks down, we hire a plumber to fix a toilet... we all have our specialties, so we should lean on experts when we want the best outcome. I have tried keto, the lemonade cleanse, low cab, weight watchers, Noom, extreme diets, etc. I struggled with my weight yo-yoing and my emotional health. When my body is balanced, my mind is balanced. Shelby takes the time to understand your goals. Its not always weight! Its a learning process and you have to be mentally committed. The techniques I have learned through Shelby are not a quit fix! They are not counting calories or counting anything. She helps you understand what you need though awareness and that is what will make the lifelong change. I was sick and tired of being up and down and I knew I needed to take charge of my health before it takes charge of me. Shelby is magical. You won't regret it and if her approach is not working, its because you are not 'ALL IN'. Be mental ready to commit and when it clicks, it ALL clicks.
My personal changes:

Mental strength to resist eating because of environmental triggers (oh I will just grab a burger because I am in town, but I am really not hungry)

When I first spoke with Shelby
When I first spoke with Shelby, I felt like such a huge change was about to come my way. I was binge eating just to feel like I was in control of something in my life. Now, I have control over my own thoughts and feelings and I enjoy eating food as nourishment for my body. I now recognize my negative thoughts as and can squash them in their paths. I cannot thank Shelby enough for her work and everything she's done for me! She is a God send!! If anyone is struggling with low self-esteem, binge eating, compulsive thoughts that make you feel unworthy... then I would 100% recommend them to work with Shelby! I know it seems sketchy, and it sounds too good to be true but it's not. Trust the process and she can works wonders for you. Thank you Shelby for changing my life!
Life Changer
I have struggled in my relationship with food and my body for as long as I can remember. Up until I worked with Shelby, I wasn't sure that it would ever be possible for things to change. The three months I worked with Shelby was absolutely transformative! I have gone from almost constant depression and anxiety to having a new lease on life. My relationship with food and myself has drastically improved, as has my daily quality of life.

It is so hard to put into words the impact Shelby's coaching has had on me. From the moment I stumbled upon her website, I felt hope for the first time. I knew that changing my behavior would only be a temporary fix to a lifelong struggle I have had with food. Shelby doesn't teach you to change your behavior, she teaches you to think differently about how you approach eating. What used to bring me great shame and self loathing, has turned into a pleasurable experience! I have learned to take care of myself as I would anyone else I cared about. Forever Grateful to Shelby
I truly can’t say enough about how Shelby and her program have changed me for the better. Before meeting Shelby and going on this brief journey with her, my relationship with food and myself was an everlasting struggle. My deep-rooted issue with food was something I thought I would have to deal with for the rest of my life. I’d read that people with eating disorders were never “healed” but rather managed their disorder. I’m beyond happy to say that after my time with Shelby I’ve learned how to change the way I view food and completely transform the toxic relationship I had with it; something I wanted to do for over 20 years but never actually thought possible.
I’m proud of myself for having found Shelby and taking the life-changing step of contacting her. I couldn’t have found her at a better time. But mostly I’m eternally grateful to Shelby for helping literally change my brain. She helped me understand, among a number of things, that my eating habits weren’t my fault which led to my ability to start to let go of them. She brought to light underlying reasons for my damaging habits that I had blamed myself for my entire life. She changed my mind and my thought processes from thinking I was inherently broken and meant to live an unfulfilled life because of how intertwined my struggles with food have been with every other part of me, to truly understanding where they come from and how I don’t have to be attached to them anymore.
I’ve had horrible eating habits and eating disorders for the better part of my life. I’m also an overachiever and perform well at everything I try. I felt like I could do anything except “control” my cravings and how I ate. When I enrolled in Shelby’s program I fully expected to be “fixed” half way through the program and wanted to speed up the process. What I found is that this process takes time. I had cemented in my brain years of terrible habits that couldn’t be broken over night. Through Shelby’s reassurance, unconditional support, and understanding, I stuck with the program and began dropping those seemingly unchangeable habits bit by bit and most importantly, letting them go permanently. I can now say I will never look at food the same way I did prior to this program. Something I never saw myself able to do.
I learned practical tools that I put into practice everyday (with less and less effort as the time goes by) that have slowly improved, not only how I behaved towards food, but my internal beliefs towards food — some that I didn’t even know I had but that Shelby was able to point out. Thanks to Shelby, I’m on my way to living a fuller, healthier life with the belief that I can finally accomplish my goals and what I’m meant to do during my time here. As an independent person who for a long time felt I didn’t need anyone’s help, I tried many, many times to figure out this food thing on my own. Working with Shelby taught me another invaluable lesson which is that it’s okay to need help. We’re human, we’re meant to be connected and need connection and because of that my self-compassion grew which has contributed to my growth and new view on food and life in general.
Thank you Shelby, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for all that you taught me directly, and indirectly, tied to the issues I had with food. I look forward to looking back at this time in 5, 10, 20 years and seeing how much I’ve grown and how far I’ve come as a result of meeting you.

Shelby McDaniel is a superhero. After competing in multiple physique shows, I developed a challenging relationship with food and body image. I have a history with yo-yo dieting and I didn’t know where to turn for help.
Shelby’s intuitive and compassionate approach to coaching allowed me to break the all-or-noting mentality and free myself from the unhealthy mindset that many high achievers struggle with. Her program allowed me to pick a form of movement that I was happy with, make food decisions for pleasure and health and become more aware of triggers that kept me in a cycle of mindless overeating. I am more confident in who I am because of this program and cannot recommend it enough for anyone seeking diet freedom.

I was lucky enough to work with Shelby personally because I had so many medical hurdles to overcome too.
It has been worth it in every way. She helped me learn how to let go of the worry about my weight and how to focus on the good in me. She helped me realize so much more about myself than I ever allowed myself to see. It was a slightly longer hurdle with me because of the medical conditions I have but Shelby and I made it. I have started eating right and enjoying food again. I have learned to appreciate all of me, not just how I look. I have a journey ahead of me but I know I have the strength to take it.

It really does get better!!
I was hesitant to join the program with Shelby at first but jumped into it after reading the reviews here, and I'm SO grateful that I did! It's probably one of the best decisions I've made in my adult life.
Shelby is an amazing coach who is knowledgeable, warm, compassionate and patient. When I first started the program I had been suffering with bulimia for 15 years and was generally unhappy with my life and lacked confidence. I was just living because I didn't want to die. Everyday I spent most of my time thinking about my weight, body and food that I was allowed to eat. I was trapped in a torture prison of calorie-counting and bingeing, then regretting.
And now, after just 3 months of working with Shelby, I can safely say I'm a completely different person. I no longer obsess over "good" or "bad" food, I am more active and have more energy, I feel content with my body, and I actually enjoy my life. I never thought this was possible. My changed relationship with food has changed so many different aspects of my life for the better that it would actually be impossible to list every positive shift. I really believed that I would diet and suffer for the rest of my life, but here I am now, living life and loving myself.
Working with Shelby is not a diet program and you'll never be given a generic meal plan and told to follow it. She helps you explore yourself as a person and identify your true needs and make the natural changes from within. Because of this, the mindset shifts you experience while working with Shelby are sustainable for the long-term.
