Times out multiple times a day everyday for no reason. Awful

The broadband is utter rubbish for its price. it disconnects in the night and doesn’t seem to even work on youtube let alone google. for what its worth id say £2 a month maximum its nothing better than mobile hotspot from your friend 2 floors away

I've been using Shell Energy for more than three years. When I moved into my first flat, they mistakenly sent the broadband hub to the wrong address. I called them to explain the issue, and they assured me they would cancel the incorrect address and send a new hub.

While they did send the new hub, they failed to cancel the wrong one. As a result, it appeared that I hadn’t made payments—even though I was paying for the correct account. I contacted them multiple times to explain the problem and requested that they remove the incorrect payment history, as it was negatively affecting my credit score and preventing me from applying for a mortgage.

They confirmed that they had removed it from their records and told me it would take about four months to reflect on my credit score. However, it has now been over one year, and the issue has still not been resolved. I have tried reaching out via email, but no one has responded.

Awful internet connection it is constantly turning off. We have to make sure that our data is turned off on our phones so we don't run out because you never know when it internet will come back on.
Absolutely gutted we have over 12 months left before we can change providers.

worst internet provider ever. I can't believe they are allowed to have business with unreliable service. internet cuts multiple times a day ruining my WFH. they sent someone to investigate, so called "fixed it" nothing is fixed. apparently it's switched to talk talk now which is not better. I feel like we are living in a third world country. it's been months!! I regret the day we joined bloody shell. I won't even buy gas from them anymore. anyone considering, avoid all costs!!

I'm a current customer with shell broadband band and I'd after say it's the worst broadband I've every had consistently losing connection and been like that since joining them about 6 months ago I can not wait to get rid of them. An half hour show on Netflix can take me over an hour to watch with loss of connection. When I phoned up they say there is nothing on there side and keep blaming me even tho I know what I'm doing so they say they will send an engineer out to look at it and if there a problem on my side I'd after pay them £75 fine as its my fault avoid at all cost

I cancelled the Shell Energy Broadband service in March 2023 (poor network, bad service, uncompetitive pricing) but I'm still waiting for my refund 16 months later. They even blatantly lied and told me that it had been sent 6 weeks ago. Now I've been told to wait until TalkTalk takes them over.

Shell Energy Broadband/Landline have cut off my 99 year old Mother's landline. Again. It has been cut off for over a week. She sent a cheque on 25th May 2024 to cover her bill. This is a crime in my opinion as she is very old and lives on her own and cannot phone her friends or her GP surgery or the automated number to settle her bill. This has happened before and I have written them countless emails to no avail. They will not let me pay her bill for her and insist on seeing all pages of the Power of Attorney just to achieve this simple task. As Shell Broadband have now been taken over by Talk Talk maybe they will be able to solve this issue.

If i could copy and paste the words 'shockingly bad service' a thousand times easily enough i would. In all my life i have NEVER dealt with a company that is so bad at everything it touches and yet a massive company such as shell and its reputation allows it still to carry on performing so badly.

UNBELIEVABLY USELESS and worthy 0f its very poor feedback on here, NEVER believe a single word it tells you.

Hi there, I was with shell energy company brown band Internet and somehow they give my details to TalkTalk company without my permission. I don’t know if he’s allowed to do this or not they give me my details my bank details without my permission so I’m really stressed and frustrated for that so please anybody can see this message support and help. Thank you

Still with shell energy as tied into an 18 month contract however when this does eventually end I will be cancelling.
Internet is absolutely shocking yet makes out the network is good and that there are no issues. Anything upstairs literally loses connection to the WiFi constantly.

This is generally the worst Internet service I've ever had.

I have about 6 months left the sooner its over the better. I would definitely stay clear of these.

Phoned today, and the women was wfh, her baby was bloody screaming all the time whilst I was trying to understand what she was saying I told her I couldn't hear a word she was saying and asked her to keep her bloody child quiet, how the hell can you wfh with a bloody screaming child, not professional!!! Have since cancelled my broadband, staff abrupt, and put you on hold for ages with pathetic music! AVOID THIS INCOMPETENT COMPANY !!

Had a call back today following an email request. A very polite, friendly and knowledgeable lady called Elizabeth advised the details of a new deal available to me for my broadband/phone. No nonsense and i hung up thinking if all sales calls were like they would be a pleasure not a chore.

Worse internet we've ever had. Constantly having to reset devices so they will connect. Had multiple calls with support only to be told it can't be their fault. Despite the face we have never had any of these issues with either virgin or Vodafone who supplied us before, at a slower rate.

Shell Energy is terrible. It is even worse after changing to Octopus. I have problems with energy bill and have been discussing with the staff at Shell Energy to investigate and sort it out.
Staff aware I was discharged from the hospital and to my surprise, the Shell company entered details on credit report without my knowledge. This is unprofessional and not acceptable. I demand correction to my report and apology.

If I could provide a minus rating I would. Absolute nightmare providers and please please for your own sanity spend more and go to an alternative.
I have been having slowness issues and despite doing everything possible still couldn't rectify. But on ringing the call centre, find out that its overseas, so its very near impossible to understand what is being said, I have been shouted at for asking three times for them to repeat, hung up on its been a nightmare. I have asked each time to only call when I am at home which is after 5pm. Each time they ring me during the day..
So far I've been 17 calls, and am now at the point that I'm asking them please to just cancel my account - now they're saying there will be a charge.
Please avoid, pay a little more and avoid!!!

Never switch to Shell Energy broadband. My service supposed to go live on February 8th, almost 48 hours later and still no service. I work from home and need the WiFi conection. Everytime I call the only answer is to wait, 12 more hours. Worst customer service ever, they even hang up on me when I told them I would cancel the contract.

I recently came to the end of my Shell Energy Broadband contract but because I did not realise the exact date of my contract end, I missed the email sent out by Shell offering 2 different contract options. My contract then ended. At this point Shell could have charged me for the cheaper option but no they charged me £55.05 for the dearest option. I phoned Shell to cancel my Broadband, only to be told theres a 30 day cancelation policy. That is going to cost me £42.96 for broadband that is not in use ( I signed up with Community fibre so don't need Shell) it seems to me Shell just view their customers as a cash cow and clearly don't care about providing a decent service at a reasonable price. Ask yourself the question, would you sign up with a company that will rip you off given the chance?
