Very poor recovery of service failure

Very poor & mechanical efforts in recovery of service failure. Logistics sent my shopee item to wrong address, together with proof of the wrong address. When i asked for refund shopee says it needs 5-7 days to investigate. I told shopee not to attempt to re-deliver lost item as i will buy it urgently from elsewhere. item still sent to me and shopee insist item was delivered on original promised date. Didnt border to check proof of delivery pics and basically listened to deliveryman's tale blindly.

Getting worse as a platform - Think twice!

I am a seller in Shopee for many years. It used to be my favourite platform to sell things. I enjoy selling and fulfilling each order I received via this platform. My perception and liking towards Shopee starts to change over the years.

First, commission getting higher. Sellers get lesser margin as compared to Shopee for each deal.

Second, rough handling and more irresponsible courier making parcels more fragile to damages. Sellers incur losses, Shopee is indifferent.

Third, implementation of 15 days return from buyers due to change of mind etc. Why sellers have to be penalised on the shipping charges? Shouldn’t buyers be penalised instead? Parcels returned to sellers despite of their effort to pick and pack them for delivery, sellers being charged for the shipping charges. Well, you can appeal via the form but the hassle of doing that is to the disadvantage of sellers and till now, almost a month, I have not received any refund. If Shopee wants to implement such clause, then Shopee should absorb these charges as we sellers did pay Shopee commission for each deal. It should not be at the pocket of sellers since Shopee wants more sales with this clause, then consider this to be at your cost not sellers!

Fourth, this is definitely a frustrating point. Dented tins during transportation due to mishandling / negligence of Shopee Express (you can google on the footage of how they handle parcels - irresponsible is the key word). Buyers get full refund, sellers suffer great loss or negative margin and even tramautised with Shopee’s action. Shopee deducts the shipping charges and also ‘claimed’ the dented tins are under milk powder non-returnable. Sellers should have the final say of the disposal plan and not Shopee. Where are the protection right to the sellers? Shopee has FINAL say but not sellers over their assets?

Fifth, asking for evidence of packaging. As sellers, we deal with volume of transactions. Majority of us will not have pictures of how the parcels being packed. How do we provide? Shopee express as Shopee’s dedicated courier will always be as advantage as Shopee will always at their side. The packages need to have fragile sticker, double layered bubble wrapped and gaps are filled up. Well, even big organisations do not pack to such extent.

I hope Shopee management will take some corrective measurement to stay competitive advantages in this e-commerce industry else both sellers and buyers will slowly move away from Shopee platform.

Shopee is a POOR PLATFORM to consider for sellers

Ever since Shopee claimed to improve their marketing ads in June, as sellers, our traffic and sales drop crazily. We checked with a few other sellers who are experiencing the same. You can no longer expect traffic without throwing money to ads. EVEN paying doubling the ad dollars, traffic continue to drop easily between 40% - 80%. When you ask for better support, their only reply is do your ads strategically or they meant you didn't do your part well enough. Pretended nothing has happened and expect sellers to start all over again. Exactly how this benefit Shopee? Perhaps expecting way more ADS INPUT from sellers. That must be Shopee's KPI now.

Delivery was PATHETICALLY SLOW and COURIER IS IRRESPONSIBLE.

Delivery was pathetically slow. Took eons for items to be delivered within Singapore, and the courier did not even bother to ring the doorbell when he was here. To save time, he would rather leave the item outside, where item could end up being stolen or drenched by the rain. Its all Shopee's fault as this has been their standard practice since a long time ago.

Shopee would NEVER deliver within their promised time frame, and will pacify you with a pathetic $2 voucher (that expires very soon). If you need something urgent, DON'T EVER CONSIDER THIS PLATFORM AS IT WILL PROBABLY TAKE A LONG TIME TO REACH YOU. Even my purchases from China (Taobao) take a shorter time to arrive. Will never buy anything from Shopee again, even if there are cost savings.

If I can select minus star I gladly would have. Receive parcels also got issue when it got delayed. Return parcel also same, delayed never came to pickup the return. And the ‘solution’ you get is those take it or leave it, “you got no choice..”. They dun solve your problem, they just drag and prolong. They are like delulu solulu. Just imagine they hold up 100 consumers $10. Tats $1000 already. So why are they holding up consumers’ money instead of providing protocol to resolve? Think

Worst Nightmare By Shopee

Im a spender in shopee and at the same time im shopee affiliate as well. So what i did was buying and sharing only .. But today i got a big shocked by shopee ..

I was having my massage and suddenly i was asked to login into my account which is around 10pm ,, i tried but there was a prompt stating that my account is limited and was asked to check my email , so upon opening email sent by shopee , it stated that my account has unusual activities in which i did not do anything at all . And my last purchased from shopee was in the evening.. and in the email , i was asked to appeal if i want my account back and so i did , provide the documents required by shopee . So after i submit an appeal to shopee , i seek help from shopee live agent to get answers why my account was limited and why im not able to login .

I did ping a few live agent instead , and yes of course , who is not frustrated when one account is suddenly being limited without a proper and valid reasons, right ?

So shopee live agent said , they need to check and will only get answers within 48hrs during business hours which is monday onwards as this issue happened is on Friday night , and obviously i cannot wait that long as i got tons of orders pending shipping and arrival to me, some is send to house and some is sent to shop , hence i need to always checked for updates where is my orders .. so i asked all of them to escalate this issue asap and treat it priority and utmost urgencies .. they acknowledge..

After an hour , i got email from shopee stating that my appeal has been rejected due to unusual activities which i do not know what it is . The email claims that shopee unable to reveal anything to me at all , in which i find it totally unfair as i was not doing anything at all when this account limitations is placed on me , and weirdly , it not only my account affected,, my husband and my friends account are affected and facing the exact same issues as mine and all was placed at the same timing ..

So after reading this email , i was more furious and agitated .. so i chat with shopee live agent again .. as i want answers why is this happening to my account .. none of them could provide me any answers and keep saying "we have refer this to the relevant team and they are in the midst of checking" .. Seriously it taking way too long ...

As per live agent , they (the relevant team) are in the midst of checking my account, i told them that i only got 1 number , 1 email which is both tag to this account and it being banned without any proper and valid reasons,, and i cant register or make new account at all , also this account , i still got cash in my shopee pay ,, my pending money from shopee affiliate which they are required to transfer to me , and also my tons of orders .. how m i going to monitor all these if im not able to access them at all ??

They replied only for my orders ,, which will still be delivered to me and if i did not receive it , shopee will refund me ,, but they did not reply me about my shopee pay cash which is in this account and my pending shopee affiliate cash which they are supposed to transfer to me .

Since they did not reply , so me as a worried , frustrated frequent buyer , keep asking the same questions . And fyi , i did not chat with just 1 live agent , but a few , however there is this 1 live agent which is rude , as i was asking questions, she left the chat twice just like that ! My question to this agent Jory , is that bout my 1 number and 1 email only i have , i asked her since shopee banned my account, and these are the only ones i have , i cant used shopee anymore , and her replied was "WOW" !!
She said "you can make a new one" ..
I really hats off to this agent ... I have told her many times that i only have 1 of each , no others , and yet she still say that as if it just so easy to get another number and create another email ,, and to do all these , also need $$ and time consuming,,
so upon seeing her reply like that which make me more furious,
I replied her "make new number ?? U think i print money ?? Easy easy get new number ??"
i have yet to finish my sentences and she just input "regarding this issue, thank u for your time , any further inquiries reach out to us again" ... She left chat just like that ,, which make more mad !!
Im not trying to rude nor difficult but ya , who is not frustrated when suddenly one account is being banned for no reason ???

Again it not 1 account but many accounts affected and facing the same issues .. i do not know where to make complaint bout this .. i have been googling for hours but it doesnt lead to anywhere that could actually help and assist me to get back my account,,

I do not know what i have done to shopee , i do not know where has gone wrong or what gone wrong and suddenly my account is banned by shopee .. Seriously my faith in shopee has gone due to this incident.

We just want our account back 😭

Unreasonable refunds by Shopee

Its rather disappointing when shopee has turn its back against seller whom spend efforts to make their selling platform a success.
Shopee ALWAYS benefits the buyers in all way for unreasonable return and refund, or buyers claiming that package short of items which is not true.
We have encountered many cases of buyers (package of few items) claiming shortage and SHOPEE will refund buyers at sellers expense.
This is how seller will lost its item plus money by refunding to buyer for unreasonable case raise.
Shopee will claim that seller did not send the items and make seller suffer lose.
This is the turning point of an ecommerce giant, such a win - lose situation will be declining fast in business partnerships

Incompetency on Shopee’s Part To Fulfil Customers’ Orders On Time

Purchased birthday gift for someone else and selected “Next Day Delivery”, needing it on the 19th of June, 2024. In the end, parcel is still at warehouse and not out for delivery at all. Gave me all kinds of excuses and reasons to pacify/patronise me, asking me to wait for updates when I needed my order to arrive on time. It’s always the “compensation voucher” they give without the need to improve in their delivery system. This is the 6th/7th time it’s been happening to me, and still no signs of my parcel. Wasted my whole day waiting at home when I could have been at work. Now my plans have totally been ruined by their total incompetency as I have to hunt another gift again (wasted my money as well), and will proceed to boycott Shopee once my orders have been delivered. BOYCOTT SHOPEE, AND YOU WONT BE UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED ANYMORE!

Seller nightmare. Speechless

As a seller i would say Horrible customer service. They have major problem understanding basic english.

1.) Customer did not collect the parcel because she want it sent to her home instead.

2.) parcel not collected and was return to me. I’m fine with it.

3.) parcel not returned but notification indicates parcel returned.

4.) contacted customer service and after much explanation customer service think im the buyer still. (When starting the live chat i already indicated im the seller.

5.) after repeating im the seller and my issue i get stupid reply. Saying that the parcel is ready for collection and they will not will not be able to extend the collection period as the collection period of 3 days is set across the system and is hardcoded.

6.) i asked them if they understand my concern and i recieved yes as a reply. I had to repeat again saying “im the seller. Parcel is not returned to me but i recieved notification that parcel is returned to me.

7.) agent said “In line with this, that was a status under your customer order status since the buyer failed to pickup the said parcel.” Overall im asking where the hell is my parcel and if not returned to me why sent a notification stating parcel was returned? Whats wrong with your understanding skill?

Sigh. Ever since the self pickup option started theres so many problems. Your customer service really a joke. I don’t see whats so difficult to understand basic english. I know your live chat agent is outsourced but get a decent one okay? Spoken to few agents all the quality is the same.

I even screenshot the notification clearly stated “Your parcel has been returned to you, and we have refunded the buyer. If you have not received your return parcel, contact Customer Service.”

Which part of it is difficult to understand??

WORST SHOPEE COLLECTION POINT

AVOID blk 460 cck ave 4 SHOPEE COLLECTION POINT. All my orders is still on hold with them since 8th June till now. Usually once the logistic team send your parcel to the collection point, the collection point will send a pin number for collection. I have no issue with other collection point. But this blk 460, didnt send me any pin number after receiving it. I even contact shopee to look into my order status. Their CS are pretty useless as they all seems to have a template to copy paste all their respond to every question. Not genuine. Everyday they promise that my order will be expedite and ready for collection within 24hours. EVERYDAY 24hours. How many hours have it been then since the 8th june? Seriously, until now even their cs agent still havent get back to me on my orders. Its the worst collection point. Why cant they just rectify this issue by sending it over to another collection point if this collection point is not able to fullfill their task within a certain period of time to send out a single pin number everytime they receive the parcels? Why didnt Shopee set a time period on how long the collection point can hold on to their customer's parcel? Shopee doesnt even know how to rectify issues. Do they not care or look into it? Where is their customer recovery action? Keep giving me a bloody $1 voucher for a single order thats late? Seriously? A $1 voucher?! My orders cost way much more than that and u only gave $1 voucher and only hope for the collection point to listen to you and speed up the process? Hope? No action? Worst of all, I found out that now the collection point is temporarily closed from their spx website. Why do their cs keep giving me empty promises that i will get my pin within 24hours while in their spx website stated its now temporarily closed? To this moment, I'm still waiting for a reply and answer from their agent. 😡

I purchased a product on shopee which


I purchased a product on shopee which stated and promised arrival date to be 8 June 24 at the collection point. I was scheduled to go overseas on 9 June. However, the delivery date changed to 10 June after waiting for a couple of days. I quickly contacted shopee agent on 5 June and expressed my concern that I will not be able to collect my item within 3 days as a result of my travel. The shopee agent promised to help me and assured me continously not to be worried. The agent lied. Nothing happened.

So I contacted shopee agent again the next day for an update and received a similar promise of helping me. This time I demanded an answer and asked what if the item cannot reach before I departed and since I'm travelling with my whole family, I cannot collect my item, how are they going to help. Agent again assured me they will expedite the delivery but cannot answer my question. I readily offered 2 solutions, first to leave my item at collection point until I return from overseas or second to deliver to my home address and I will pay the additional delivery fee. After some time, agent says item will deliver to my home address. I was relieved. Then the item really did not arrive on time. It only arrived at collection point on 10 June. I received the usual message to collect my item from the collecting point after it was delivered late. I quickly contacted shopee again and asked for an update. Agent again said not to worry they are here to help me. Then agent apologised that I have to collect my item from collection point within 3 days. Item will not be delivered to my home address.

In all my messages, the conversation closed with the phrase "issue was resolved". Liars... nothing was resolved. I'm back to square one as if I have not contacted shopee for help. They were not there to help me. They are more concerned about themselves and not the clients. They clearly did not resolve my concern but they wrote as resolved? I was shocked and disappointed with their service standards. I provided a feedback for them to improve their service and these suggestions I provided were simple and can be easily implemented but shopee did not even think of improving their service. Dear shopee, please tell me how was I helped? How was the issue resolved. After 4 or 5 conversations with you and being promised help and I even proposed solutions, I'm still left alone to confront an issue that occurred due to shopee processes and not me the user. Useless and wasted all my time to ask for help and my good intentions to suggest improvements.

Bought online Techno burner

Bought online Techno burner. Delivered and just left outside house, no call or bell. Saw only when i returned home. Seller did not forward warranty card. Said will send by courier but only received 15 days after date of order by post! Agent said dealer has no authority to chge terms yet Shopee instead sais ok to listen to sell!. Prior to that put rtn n refund as they advertised rtn n refund 15 days, no qn asked. Then realised the burner is dented by the side. Called seller who refuse to replace. Shopee first informed they getting seller to replace. After almost 10days shopee simply gave outcome that i have insufficient evidence despite all valid evidences. Put up r n refund 3 times n cancelled by Shopee after 3 days which is dateline shoppee commit to CASE. Was told the dispute team is handling n no need to put up rtn n refund.Called for dispute team today 2 twice but not put to. Instead told they call me within 24 hrs but still am still waiting. They r lying!! Waste of time getting from shopee. Never buy big item from SHOPEE! Told tge dispute team will call bk withib 24 hrs from 8 to 10 pm. Pack of liars! Already pass 10 lm!!

Garbage marketplace app infested with counterfeit products

The app is basically unusable.

The search function returns a lot of "ads" (i.e. promoted products) that have nothing to do with what you're searching for, making it a pain in the ass to navigate. For example, if I search for "Kahlua", only 8 out of the first 20 results are Kahlua Coffee Liqueurs; the rest are different alcoholic beverages (there are more Kahlua Coffee Liqueurs beyond the first 20 results, so the app is just forcing unwanted results onto users over displaying relevant results). For the curious, I did the same search on Lazada (a similar marketplace platform) and 18 out of the top 20 results are exactly what I searched for.

Not only that, if I try to look for say, a watch, many of the promoted products are counterfeit watches from Chinese sellers (eg. pictures of Rolexes and such without actually mentioning "Rolex" in the product name). No wonder the U.S. government listed Shopee under the USTR list of notorious markets for counterfeits and pirated products. I don't want to see ads to begin with, but if I have to, I'd rather see generic Google ads that you typically see in websites than counterfeits promoted by the platform itself.

Also, the review system is garbage. For starters, they reward users with coins for submitting reviews with photos and videos. Per my observations, Singaporeans don't seem capable of writing proper reviews; the vast majority are 5-star reviews with "received, haven't tried, hope good" (with broken English) and completely unrelated images and videos. These reviews are not only utterly useless, they also mislead people into thinking a product is good because it has 4++ stars out of 5. Users should NOT be incentivised to write product reviews to begin with. Secondly, the app arranges reviews not by date, but rather those with pictures and videos are prioritised first. Occasionally, you'd see some well-written reviews without images/videos (from people who don't care about the incentives but just want to leave a useful review) buried deep under the pile of useless reviews because of this glaringly bad system. Thirdly, there's a limitation to the number of times you can edit a review (you can't even edit them previously, but this was changed at some point). Many products that look good and perform well on the surface initially are designed to break easily (i.e. planned obsolescence) and not allowing users to edit reviews mean users cannot warn others about such products.

I'll rather deal with Amazon instead. It's bad too, but it's the better option considering Shopee's flaws.

Empty promises made to a sincere shopee


Empty promises made to a sincere shopee customer. I waited hopefully for a month to use Splater after the team advised me to try again for the service the following month. They gave me an answer mentioning i have for another month to try again. Ridiculous and absurd. Totally wasting my time and effort for being their valued customer. Misleading assurance and false hope given to their customer.

1 item not receive and shopee refuse to refund

I placed multiples of orders. Recently I was at home when the courier sent the parcels. Upon checking only 3 of my orders were received and I did not received 1 parcel. I called to shopee to explain the situation and I request a refund with all the details. I even provided the courier contact number and name. But shopee keep giving the same reasons. I am very disappointed with the service given to me. I will make sure that my friends and relatives will stop shopping with shopee.

Zero buyer protection

Zero buyer protection. Bought a fake perfume on Shopee even though the seller claimed it’s authentic (I have been using the same perfume for years, purchased from retail, this was my first buying from Shopee, never again).I requested for refund but got rejected 3 times by Shopee. I messaged to Shopee agent for help, it was like talking to a robot, completely useless. I wasted SGD125 for a fake perfume and can’t get my money back. I will never buy anything from Shopee again. Unbelievable!

I requested a return and shopee said will come to my home to collect the return item but one month passed the item now is still left in my place as they came to tell me wrong size or didn't drive car....full of excuses! I asked the live agent to give me the address of the customer service center he said he is not allowed to provide shopee customer service center 'address!
Anyway shopee is the lousiest online shopping company. It's scam!
I definitely will go to the authorities to report as they keep my money for no reason!

If only I could give a 0.

Purchased an item worth over $1k which was supposed to arrive between 1/4 & 3/4.
Received notification order out for delivery on 30/3. Waited till midnight. Nothing.
31/3 morning, out for delivery. 15 mins later, status changed to "failed delivery - customer rescheduled". No one even contacted me.
Contacted CS agent. Assured me I would receive on same day. Nothing.
Contacted CS again the next day. Agent said today. Priority. Nothing
2/4, I contacted again. Oh your order is out priority. Nothing.
3/4. Still nothing. Obviously I was livid at this point.
4/4. Nothing.
5/4. Nothing. I gave up because at this point it did feel like they were just gaslighting me at every turn. I requested refund. I was notified that I would receive update by 7/4.

It's 8/4. Have I received my refund? No.

It has been really appalling. It's all template responses, no sincerely, no effort at service recovery, one agent even cut me off when I was ranting. To my defence, I didn't start off as an angry customer; I was concerned and I did give it a chance. I wasn't lied to once. I was lied to 6 times. They also kept putting the case as resolved every time we ended the chats so false KPI data.

Worst thing is, I didn't even buy the item for myself. It was a gift and it was expensive gift which I can't replace yet because they haven't given me a refund.

Anyway, the most recent agent said I would receive an update "possibly" today.
