As a returning customer to Shurgard Storage Bristol, I knew I was in good hands — and Amy absolutely confirmed it. She greeted me warmly, gave me a tour of the facility, and made the whole account setup smooth and straightforward. Her professionalism and friendliness made coming back an easy choice. Highly recommend Shurgard and especially Amy for her outstanding support!

Easy to book, great price, and good un-manned security, using technology in a very good way. Also love the flat bed trolleys, for easy transportation

Shurgard are the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

They have turned a fantastic facility in Longwell Green, Bristol into a living nightmare. For example, work is carried out in an unsafe way which has caused me injury.

Changes are made to contracts, terms and facilities with no communication. All to the detrminent of customers

Shurgard do not take accident reports seriously, or follow British health and safety law.

Their central staff are rude and unhelpful. One told me that discussing my invoice was a breach of GDPR and hung up! All whilst threatening my stuff due to a clerical error at thejr end which they couldn't discuss.

As others say prices have been increased massively by over 20 per cent with no communication.

Shurgard appear to be enticing people in with introductory offers then once belongings are moved in exploiting their customers with price increases way beyond inflation or what is reasonable. All during a cost of living crisis!

As mentioned no changes are communicated. The first time you will find out about any changes is when money is taken from your account, or you can't access your property as your access has been revoked, unless you use their crap app, which often doesn't work properly.

I have reported all of this to the HSE, Ofcom and Trading Standards. This company need to be shut down for the good of it's customers.

The only saving grace is staff they have inherited from Lock N Store. I can't unfortunately give a higher rating as they are unable to deliver the level of service they previously did due to how poor and unethical Shurgard are.

Easy and straightforward access up to 9pm seven days a week

Clean and easy to use self storage facility. We were running late and called up the storage unit, expecting it to be forwarded to voicemail. We were pleasantly surprised when our call was answered by Nikki. She went through the details of how to enter the building using the phone app and the security details of the building. Usually, when someone says, “it’s easy!” it means that it’s not very user friendly, but the app was straightforward, entering the building, lift and finding our unit was incredibly easy. Nikki was even there upon our arrival and greeted us with professionalism and integrity, even though we were late arrivals. So far, we have had no issues with using the company.

Easy to book the storage online, friendly & helpful team in the branch who are available during office hours & access to the storage good with 7 day access & long hours.

Excellent service and prompt and professional help when I had an account querie. I dealt with Paige and Nicole so this rating is due their excellent customer service.

They offer you a good price but then six months later hike the price up by nearly £40 a month while still offering new customer the original price you were paying . Good for new customers but terrible for present customers

Nikky was very helpful. I got there at exactly her closing time but she was patient to attend to me and show me my space.

I have just rented a storage unit at Longwell Green. This was really easy to do. Pete was very helpful and explained the process really well. The unit is warm clean and dry as well as being safe and secure. Trolleys and lifts make it easy to move my stuff in. Easy access will mean that I will be able to come and go as I please.

The units are bright, well ventilated from above, and clean as well as being inside, so no risk of damp, cold, or Little Visitors. The building feels secure, and app access is being introduced soon which will lock it down further. One star taken off for a couple of minor things - they used to open the big bay doors which makes unloading a van a lot easier but don't now, and don't appear to be planning to upgrade them to app access unlike some other stores. The people door is wide enough to take the trolleys, but has no way of holding it open, even for saying a few seconds to let you unlock it, pull the door open, and grab your trolley and start going through. You have to hold the door open the whole time yourself, whilst steering a trolley, so an opener or slow closer option would be appreciated.
Staff are good, and if you watch out and wait for the offers you can get a good deal. I've had a unit for a while and we just moved my friend into one this week and Nikki was a great help!
