Recently moved from a different firm to to this facility as it was closer to where I now live. Chris who manages this facilty was top class to deal with at all times. He even helped me with a late change in unit size. He made my move as seamless as possible and answered all queries very quickly. He even followed up to make sure my moves went ok.
I really could not recommend them any higher. If you need storage in this area, Chris is the go to man!

Having been customers of Shurgard for 1yr+ I am disappointed with the management of a recent incident whereby my husband attended the storage locker in plenty of time before closing but left 10mins past the hour it closed only to find himself locked in. When you attend a supermarket prior to it closing you expect to be allowed in but no-one expects to be locked in the shop if you haven’t paid and left before the shop closes. There is a reasonable grace period where no-one can come in but you are permitted to leave within penalty or fine. We mistakenly thought the same would apply at Shurgard. After having called for help my husband was made to wait 2hrs 15mins before a rather rude man rolled up at the gate to allow access to leave followed by a £100 fine. We had already overlooked the increasing locker fees enforced over time upon loyal customers but this recent incident and the lack of understanding for a genuine mistake has made us decide to end our contract.

I have used Shurrgard in the past for a few year and am using it again.
The storage units and access are good.
The staff are extremely helpful and respectful.Shurgard has great customer care and I would recommend them as number 1 for your storage needs. 10/10 from me. - Roxana - Epsom

I am still waiting for a call back that was promised 2 weeks ago regarding downsizing my unit.
I have been told to go to the Surbiton branch even though my unit is at the Epsom branch.
( I have had a call back now and am happy that things have been delt with)

I've been using their Epsom site for several months with relatively few issues, so when I went at 07.00 on a Saturday morning (when it opens) I didn't expect a problem. Forty-five minutes later the gates still wouldn't open and there was no response when I called them.

Excellent service; received a follow up phone call to ascertain whether all was well. Fantastic customer service & excellent deals for hiring a unit.

Seamless process from start to finish in-terms of accessing the storage & regular, clear correspondence regarding account & usage.

Got locked in at an unmanned venue because the app stopped working. No emergency exit options. Had to wait until someone became free to travel to the venue and open the gates - they we're openly annoyed at having to travel to help me.

Unnecessarily rude response when I asked why there wasnt a way out if the app or your phone stops working.

Staff either made a point of exerting minimal power to be rigid and petty, acting like helping is inconvent; or tried to help but just kept sending me round in loops trying to follow convoluted processes - seemingly poorly trained and unsupported staff.

The thought of having to deal with future potential issue or go to the venue alone is so stressful.

Would not use Shurgard again. Customer service is too difficult and stressful to navigate.

I tried so hard to remain calm but did eventually get frustrated after being sent in circles and told off for following instructions by another member that were apparently wrong!!

Thought twice about leaving this review in case someone tries to create problems because of it. Seemingly paranoid but a genuine feeling and concern.

There were elements of helpfulness in the beginning. But this was a response to an issue with the set up of my account.
Unfortunately, my experience was mostly negative, which happened on several occasions, and well outweighed any positives.

Simple and fast

Easy to deal with and extremely flexible as I changed the size of the unit and date a couple of times.

I am happy to experience the unique and smart service. I think that the Shurgurd seems to lead the change in an innovative way.
