Avoid this company at all costs. My experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful. After taking my money, communication became almost impossible — calls were ignored and I received no proper updates or resolution.
I later discovered many other customers reporting similar experiences online, especially regarding poor customer service, lack of response, and refund issues. I have now escalated the matter and opened a formal case to try to recover my money.
Before using this company, I strongly recommend checking recent Google and Trustpilot reviews carefully and doing proper research first.

Avoid this company they will take your money and not answer the phone even , over 2000 ppl been scammed by Simon Charles, check the real reviews on Google and trust pilot, I don't know how the police letting them yet , but I put a case on them anyways .. I need my money back ............
WARNING — Do NOT trust Simon Charles.
This has genuinely been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any company. I bought a pallet expecting legitimate items and instead found rat feces, filth, disgusting smells, and almost nothing of actual value inside. It looked like dumped rubbish cleared from somewhere and resold to unsuspecting customers.
The condition was so bad I refused to even put it near my vehicle because it felt unsafe and unhygienic. When I challenged staff about it, they acted like they “didn’t know” and refused to help. Customer service was even worse — rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in resolving anything. No refund, no accountability, nothing.
The whole experience felt deceptive from start to finish. In my opinion, people are being lured in to bid on pallets without being told the real condition of what they may receive. Looking at some of the glowing reviews now, I seriously question how genuine they are because they do not reflect the reality I experienced at all.
I have video evidence, have contacted my bank, and have already spoken to legal representatives about taking this further. Trading Standards and Environmental Health will also be receiving full details.
Absolutely disgraceful company. Waste of money, waste of time, and an experience that honestly felt like being scammed.
Have paid me and my husband 126 pound for a palett meant to be garden stuff we have received mouse ahit wee smell hot tab probably been used for couple of years qith still water inside not cleaned smelled disgusting wish I never bought from there my car smells like shit I had ro takw back the full palett nothing was boxed probably someone just ripped out them garden and just sold it on this website be aware scammer website
Simon Charles charges over 100% on fees once it’s added all the charges so please think twice before bidding

I bought bike and paid expensive price and found out later these are not selling in uk and are cheapest and quality is zero and gears are only available on temu for 4 pounds very disappointed I paid nearly £ 150 with taxes ,miss guiding the customers

Picked an item up today. First and last time I will be using the site. The item was okay but I have never experienced 'service' like it, I arrived at the correct pick up time and there were 4 people in front of me so assumed it wouldn't be long. 50 minutes in total. I've never seen staff move so slowly not sure if the person that served me was trying to be cool or needed to see a doctor he moved so slowly and didn't seem capable of simple manners

Im not sure if the company is being honest about their description on each item. I have to return 2 items for a counterfeit claim that worked on my favor. The third one was severely Damaged unusable items which they refused to take back.. the box of the item wasn't sealed at all and its obviously broken so either they didnt pack well or it was broken claiming to be unchecked when they sold it.

**IF YOU WANT TO FORCE SIMON CHARLES TO REFUND YOU, READ THIS REVIEW (but be prepared to have your account with them closed):
It's worth noting that none of the auctioneers in the UK are very good, but of the many I have used to source inventory for my business, Simon Charles is the absolute worst hands down.
Luckily, I only buy clothing - this is the safest bet as there are few working parts and with most of these, faults are usually visible (unlike electrical goods which need testing). As such, I've only had one bad experience (having made very few orders in total).
They used the same photo for a number of high end jackets, most of which were fine... but one was heavily stained and not as pictured/as described. This falls under the consumer rights act 2015 - a breach which would entitle me to a refund for this jacket.
When I requested the refund, I cited the consumer rights act and received several copy and pasted responses in quick succession from Simon Charles citing their terms and conditions denying said refund. Simon Charles obviously think they are above the law!
When I stated that if they did not refund me, I would be initiating chargeback through my bank - Simon Charles eventually caved, knowing they would lose and have their financial standing damaged through chargeback.
However, in retaliation they said they were closing my account. Did not expect them to throw their toys out of the pram so quickly! They cited they were doing this because of a clause in their terms and conditions which allows them to deny/terminate their services whenever and to whoever they like. Again, they are on shaky legal ground as they are retaliating against a customer for exercising their statutory rights.
In response, I said as they were terminating my paid membership (for their premium listings) early, that I would also expect a refund for this. They totally ignored the request so again, I started a chargeback through my bank.
I've now received both the funds for the jacket AND my membership back.
HOWEVER, this was not the end of the story - having been contacted on eBay after listing these items, someone has made claims that the items sold to me through Simon Charles are (allegedly) stolen goods! Upon contacting them to ask about the history of the goods, they cited that they had NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) in place and could not say where they got them from. No shock there - would not be surprised if they were stolen. Currently in talks with the police and may update this if the items are seized.
**read the consumer rights act. If you receive anything that doesn't work (and was not explicitly sold as non-working) or not as pictured/described you are entitled to a refund under the consumer rights act 2015.
They will absolutely try to deny you your refund using their T&Cs but these T&Cs do not supersede UK law! If they attempt this - go straight to your bank and prepare for Simon Charles to close your account, once they do - also do a chargeback for your membership fee if you have one.

I bought one electric palet i paid 400£ and all the items was very bad , allot they are new but don’t work and all the cables was damaged , all the pallet i trough to the bin . From a customer who’s been going for years, you are now going to be losing a lot of customers, the last several months have been hell for parking and queuing, system for appointment for collection what the point seems like you invite everyone at the same time resulting in getting a ticket from a parking warden as I was forced to park on the road with my disabled child as once again the was overcrowded parking very poor system you have
I bought a bottle of perfume from Simon Charles on 31 December 2025. The item was advertised as a posted item, and when I paid, the total I was charged was the same as other items I have previously bought from them which were posted to me. I therefore reasonably believed that postage was included as part of the payment, as it has been with my past purchases.
When I contacted Simon Charles to ask why the item had not arrived, I was told that I had not clicked a separate postage option at checkout and that my order had been treated as a collection, meaning I was expected to travel 38 miles to collect it. I was never clearly warned that failing to select postage would convert the purchase into a collection or risk forfeiting the item.
I then asked for a refund, but I was told the item had already been re-listed and sold, and that under their internal policy no refunds are allowed for non-collection. This means they have kept my money and sold the same item to someone else, even though I never received it.
I believe this is unfair and unlawful. I paid for goods that were never supplied to me, and the seller is refusing to refund me despite admitting the item is no longer available.
Simon Charles have now dealt with the problem with a satisfactory result🙂

Booked a slot for collaction got there only one or two staff serving one person in 15 minutes. Still waited more than a hour to collect my items. Rubbish customer servivr
I have never had a problem with them or the products it states what they are and you no what your getting and they are helpful when needed and iv had my account for over 3 years and will be still shopping with them for long time to come
I bought a close box of coffee table. You cannot see it inside. When I opened it it was very bad for me. I called the auction but they refuse to help with this issue. I advice people NOT TO BUY from them as majority of their products are not good and waste of money. You will find similar stuff on Facebook market and it will cost less.
Some great buys and lots of duds.
The staff are very rude and use every oppurtunity to charge you extra. But its okay when they lose your order. I had to get in contact the director who also turned out to be an idiot. He banned me for pointing out the flaws in their processes.
