We spent a lovely morning on a guided snowshoe walk with Mark and Vic. Beautiful scenery and so lovely to escape from the busy pistes and try something new. Mark adapted the walk to our ability and was so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. I would thoroughly recommend him.

Fantastic expedition for two friends. Mark tailored our walk was attentive and made us feel in very safe hands. Wildlife was an added bonus. A truly memorable experience.

We organised a private snowshoeing trip for two with Mark in Meribel in Jan 2024. The range and depth of Mark’s experience in activities around the French Alps is outstanding. He is also very responsive, highly organised and incredibly pleasant man to spend a day hiking with. Highly recommended!

I booked with Mark for a full day snow shoe excursion. It was amazing. I had requested to be amongst trees and possibly a river or a bubbling brook that had movement and he fulfilled both! Was the best day out in nature in Champagny le haut. We even got to pause at a local artisan/woodworker in town on our way. Stopped for a picnic lunch as well. Mark had a lot of history and local information to share which really elevated the day for me. He will tailor the day and excursion to your comfort/activity level. Thanks Mark for a truly delightful day in the great outdoors, you are an excellent guide. Highly recommend!

This was our first time to this area and as we didn't ski we wanted to make the most of the experience.
We arranged the guided snow shoe trek before we travelled and received a prompt reply and were given several options for us to choose.
We were picked up on time and driven to the start of the trek and all equipment was provided.
Our host was extremely knowledgeable and gave us plenty of opportunities to stop and admire the views, pointing out wildlife and giving us a chance to catch our breath.
He was easy to talk to and we spent a brilliant day in his company.
We would definitely recommend this trek to both skiers and non skiers.

Mark took our party of four out on three different snowshoe, guided morning walks, in Meribel last week.
We are all in our 60’s & 70’s and had decided that it was a good idea to have an option to skiing.
We absolutely loved our tours. Mark read our levels of ability very sympathetically and also listened carefully to our requests. We felt safe, confident and enthused in his very capable hands.
Not only did we enjoy our walks in varied, spectacular scenery, but Mark’s wide knowledge of local flora, fauna and history made each trek most interesting & informative.
It was a great way to exercise and feel perfectly challenged, whilst remaining safe and not over stretched.
We cannot recommend Mark more highly with his excellent combination of experience, skills, expertise and personable character, along with his endless fund of local knowledge.

Had a fantastic time snowshoeing with Mark yesterday. Amazing views of the mountain ranges around Courchevel and beyond. Mark was so helpful and full of information regarding the walk and our surroundings. I would definitely recommend him.

Four brilliant days in the mountains refreshing snowshoeing skills with Simply Savoie leading the activities. Accommodated in an excellent refuge that was organised by Simply Savoie. A thorough enjoyable and knowledge enhancing experience.

My boyfriend and I went on a private via ferrata weekend with Mark a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing! Mark is an excellent mountaineer & guide. I was quite anxious about doing a via ferrata (climbing is more my boyfriends thing than mine) but I needn’t have worried as Mark put me at ease, explained clearly what we had to do, carried out safety checks etc... Completing our first via ferratas was exhilarating, i’d definitely recommend it. I also really liked that Mark was able to tell me what was coming up ahead, if there was any overhang, a wire bridge and how much further there was to go. It’s like he knows every rock and crevice on each of the via ferratas. I really can not recommend Mark enough.

I had a fantastic 4 mornings snow shoeing with Mark. He is knowledgeable and entertaining in equal measure. I felt very safe however technical the routes were. I can thoroughly recommend him.

Although the weather was appalling my sister & I had an enjoyable walking weekend last week. Mark was very knowledgable and looked after us very well. The hotel (Les Grillons) which Mark booked for us was delightful.

We have been snowshoeing with Mark for five consecutive winters and have nothing but praise for his services. Mark has lived in the French Alps for many years and so has a wealth of local knowledge. This, combined with his extensive qualifications ensures an informed safe experience whatever the weather. We have stayed at Arreches in the Beaufortain, in Pralognan and in the Haute Maurienne valley, all three locations providing excellent snowshoeing and accommodation. Mark conveniently collects us from Geneva airport, does all the driving during the week and arranges the accommodation.
Add to this Mark's friendly, chatty personality, his local knowledge, his mountain rescue experience and his avalanche awareness expertise and you are guaranteed an excellent trip.
Mark also offers a range of other outdoor activities apart from snowshoeing, we have not sampled these, but I am sure they are run in just the same professional manner.
We have used Mark's private guiding services as we prefer not being in a group and able to stop and look at the view whenever we want.
