what a difference a day makes whoever was dealing with my concern on my batteries was not very sympathetic to his customers but lady come back to work in the office with been away and took up my case straight away she phoned me apologise for the service I got and the very next day she sent me a brand new set of batteries Bless her I like to thank her and whoever was dealing with me I they send him on a customer's relationship course They're going to thanks again for the good service what propelled in the end and I should deal with this company again I just hope they do a bit of staff training.Over the last few years I've probably had about seven sets of batteries of SLK always been pleased some of lasted a little bit longer than others but all said and done been very good and happy as well I've always gone back to them but after this experience now that's the end of my custom to them I bought 2x50 amp batteries towards the beginning of August so my battery is roughly 7 months old it's 5 months left on the warranty of 12 month warranty I don't use my scooter a lot because I cannot walk or stand so I could only go out on it when someone helps me off my wheelchair onto it and takes me back off it when I get back and put it away so very minimal use I'm maintain the batteries as high as standard as I can I'll follow up all instructions but everyone's instructions wherever you go is always got a different opinion on maintenance and charging of deep cell mobility batteries no two people will give you the same answer, I went to the eye specialist with eye infection last week I did a three mile journey mostly at 8 miles to 6 mph all the way I was running late for the appointment on the way back I stopped off and did a little bit of shopping in a shopping centre with a few shops when you leave the shopping centre it's caught a long drag of ramp up to the top road to get back onto the main road not a hill just a gradual ramp I only did two yards and I noticed in the car park the scooter was slowing up as soon as I got to the ramp I did about 6 ft and it stopped dead It would not go at all I had to wait 2 hours in the freezing cold and rain to be recovered by family members I contacted SLK as I always buy them for eBay and a great service very fast response no trouble until I had trouble and then it's all downhill to the topic shop they've done a load test on them the battery is not very little use been maintained very well from start to finish of the 7 months one come back at 85%, one come back what I think is the dodgy battery but they say no that's 75% what's not a good reading then now said that they got to come back to me they can't find no fault with the batteries and what I bring them up and they'll pay for carriage so I don't know if it's both ways or just the one way but it's certainly going to hit me in the pocket and also as I've got no faith in the batteries what they're sending back to me after last week's turnout I've also got a full cut and other 165 to 180 lb with another company because I would not buy again because you have not got the warranty service looking after the old people for care it's always the same all the time things go good you're okay when you put your hand out for help it's always not there or all I can say is I'm just about to be an ex customer after probably 8 years of buying from them and I'm sorry but it's the aftercare my son is a technician on jaguar cars sent them a message last night asking him would I could do a good will with some discount or if I was to buy another set of batteries from him they didn't even reply to the message just told me to ring them up as soon as possible and make payments for the carriage so they can return my dodgy batteries back to me and they say there's nothing wrong with them that's all down to a matter of opinion they was not the ones stuck out in the rain and cold for 2 hours waiting to be recovered buyer beware

So easy to order, they were delivered quickly,and the delivery man was so helpful.

Ordered 12 volt 33 amp batteries for electric wheelchair in November, almost immediately they started to decline, absolutely rubbish,don't buy slk batteries

bought 50ah batteries only lasted 5 miles and had to recharge sent them back slk say nothing wrong and charged me £30 to get the rubbish back.. i think they are selling old batteries they just clean them up and sell them as new DO NOT BUY FROM SLK JUST RUBBISH

Purchased a pair of batteries from this company, after 2 months they needed replacing. I called out a mobility company to check my scooter as I thought there was something wrong with it, they tested the batteries and it was those that were causing the problem. I had to pay £220 for another set of batteries.

Bought a pair of mobility scooter batteries and they failed after 9 months. Contacted the company and they refused warranty saying they must be charged EVERY week without fail. Despite my protestations that they had never been left even partially discharged I was refused replacements. Poor quality and dreadful service. Best avoided

I ordered 2 12v12ah batteries for my father in law, for his Drive ST scooter. I placed the order on a Saturday afternoon, after reading the shop was closed on weekends I didn't expect delivery untill the Monday or Tuesday. But to my surprise they were delivered quite early the next day, on a Sunday!
Very easy to replace and good to go. My father in law took it straight out for a test drive.
Very good experience with this company so far and great prices!

Bought a battery charger from this company on September 11th 2022 now in December 2022 and the charger fails to charge. Waste of money on inferior product. Beware shoddy

Complete rubbish, failed after a month, swelling up and almost exploding.

I thought this was a good company until something went wrong and they just don't want to know. Spoke to a nasty woman called Charlotte who talked over me, told me what I had done (I hadn't) and was generally nasty to me and would not listen to anything I said. Apparently it was all my fault that the Gel batteries I bought were not working (even though it was one of the two batteries - both treated exactly the same - that appears to have a problem). She quoted the Quingo scooter manual (quoting the wrong pages etc) as evidence that I had done everything wrong. It was obvious from the start that she was not going to listen to me and I was going to get nowhere. The Gel batteries literally started going wrong after only a couple of months and would not even take me one round of a supermarket and they never gave me a full power readout on the scooter even when supposedly fully charged. Given up on it now and bought some batteries from a company from Tayna Batteries (not Gel batteries) and what a difference, Yes, they were more expensive but 12 days of use before needing charging so definitely worth going elsewhere. I so wish I hadn't gone to SLK such a waste of money and time I will never get back. SLK Batteries guarantee is not worth the paper its written on - I will be avoiding them like the plague.

I agree with every bad comment on here. I bought 2 x 22ah batteries 6 months ago. 3 times have just died on me when out after no more than 2 miles and needed to be picked up. Returned to slk who said I will be responsible for courier cost if they find nothing wrong. Guess what..? They found nothing wrong. The batteries are useless but now trying to say I’m stupid and there is nothing wrong with them. PLEASE do not buy from this company.
