Absolutely horrific.
Absolutely horrific.
I was on hold for 1hr and 50 minutes, trying to book an engineer to come and repair my tumble dryer. Only to then be cut off and have to start all over again.
I am now 1hr and 20 minutes into my second attempt, (still on hold as I write this review) and to be perfectly honest, I don't hold much hope of actually speaking to someone this time either.
Regardless of how this pans out going forward, I can say with absolute certainty that there is no way on earth I will be renewing this policy with these clowns when it expires ( perhaps that should read "clown" and not "clowns" as it appears they only have one person manning the claim line ).
If you value your time, do yourself a favour and spend a little bit more on a reputable company with proper customer service because frankly to be on hold for 3 hrs + trying to book an engineer is absolutely pathetic.
Oh and yes I did email my request and guess what? They didn't reply to that either!!!
Edit - Finally got through the day after with another 2 hrs of my life wasted on hold.
Despite me leaving two call back requests and an email the previous day, this never happened.....
They were however lightning fast in having someone call me to take my bank card details so that my policy was paid in full before authorising my claim (Funny that!)
I now have to wait for an engineer to contact me to arrange my repair. It might be tomorrow, or the day after apparently. (If I was being cynical, I'd say that they probably don't care now that my policy is paid up).
Watch this space.....

Company asking lots questions about appliances to take pictures etc, I am disabled so going to cancel this policy. I have been with insurance company's for 30 years. Never been asked fir all this info.
Very Good Customer Service
I was previously with Prominence Support (for 4yrs) and then Smart Sure took over. I was a bit skeptical as to whether they would be as good, but I needn’t have worried. Each time I have had to make a claim it has been straight forward. However, this time, I did have to write an email to make a claim as I just could not get through via the phone (hence the four star rating).
The email was responded to on the same day, advising me that they would call back. I didn’t have to wait long before I received a call back. The advisor Anthony was very nice, and apologised for the phone saga. He then proceeded to explain very throughly and patiently, the process of making a claim. By the time the call had finished, the claim had already been authorised. This is the kind of customer service I expect from a company. Thanks again Anthony.
Worst company ever
Worst company ever. They keep sending insurance quotes and attempting to take payments from my step Mother who died earlier in the year. I have informed them by phone several times but they are rude and just do not listen. Do not use them, bunch of scam artists.

Repairing my old Indesit dishwasher wasn’t possible. Smart-Sure replaced it with a Bosch machine with which I’m more than satisfied.
STAY AWAY DONT USE
Totally useless been waiting 4 weeks for a repair on my washing machine try phoning them to find out what the situation is and ive been waiting on hold in a queue for over 1.5 hrs!!! stayaway from the mickey mouse company still No Joy as to when my washing machine will be repaired tell me they will keep me updated and i get no updates
Scam Company who try to not pay claims
No customer service, all outsourced in India and no response on claims. I was kept waiting for 2 hours on the phone and repeatedly cut off
Could be clearer
Timely written notice of renewal though slightly misleading as the notice said I had to do nothing when in fact the constant phone calls turned out to be because I had to make a card payment over the phone which was easily done once it became apparent.
Complaint
Trying to cancel policy due to husbands death and no longer having item insured and also refund of annual money already taken.
Having to fwd death certificate causing me upset and still not having confirmation. Not good at all
What a waste of my time!
1. I got an unnecessary automated call very early in the morning to tell me I would receive an e-mail about my renewal, the e-mail I had received the day before!
2. The renewal figure offered was an increase of 40% on the previous premium.
3. I called at 9:15 the same morning, waited twenty minutes having pressed the required response to get through to cancel on the grounds that it was too expensive, only to be told that the person on the phone could not assist as that department did not 'come in' until 10!
4. Called the next day (after 10). The person who took the call 'understood why I was not happy' and agreed to hold the premium at the previous level - it took about two minutes after all the hassle the day before and a ridiculous increase that Smartsure had no intention of imposing. What a waste of my time! (If they had not given me the continuing level of premium, I would only have given one star!)
