My small team has been working with Smartpress since 2021. Biannually, we have ordered about 200 perfect bound booklets and have had really pleasant experiences for the most part. Their team was quick to respond to questions and concerns and the quality of the product was fantastic.

However, our experience this past Fall has left my team questioning whether we can continue to work with Smartpress. After a pretty involved process making edits to our digital proofs, we received our physical books with significant quality issues. The laminate on the covers was chipping and cracking and multiple pages throughout were low resolution. I later found out that this issue was caused by individual pages being uploaded into their software which our account representative explained should have never been done. This only happened because the pre-printing tech assigned to the order told me to submit new files this way.

Throughout the process, I felt like I must have been working with a new employee that was both not aware of my team's history with the company (questioning me about my print files as if I don't know what a PDF is) and that quality control for the product was overlooked once it was printed. I also felt like I was getting bounced around to multiple techs while working on the proof and didn't feel like I could trust everyone I was in contact with.

By the time the booklets were received, we were a week out from the event they would be distributed at. Once our account representative got involved, the issues were addressed and I'm grateful that Smartpress took the whole order back and provided a refund. However, my team had to find a local printer to fulfill a rush order last minute. It cost us thousands of dollars extra.

I'm still confused as to how this could have happened to consistent (and happy!) customers with this company. Still deciding whether to move forward with Smartpress for our next project.

Super easy to work with and skilled at their work.

This was our first order with SmartPress and I was very impressed. We ordered direct mail cards (6.75 in x 5 in card, double sided printing) with A7 envelops (with printed company logo) .

First of all, they sent me a free sample book of cardstock which is very helpful for me to choose the right cardstock. The customer service staff are very helpful and polite to answer all the questions and provide guidance through chats all along during the process of order. They have a great online system to order, review and approve proofs. They said the production, including printing cards, stuffing envelops and postage, only took 2 business days. As promised, I approved the proof on Dec 1 and the cards got shipped out on Dec 3. The cards were printed in high quality. The cardstock I chose was Uncoated Smooth - White 130# Cover which I found it perfect for the postcard. Even my graphic designer was very happy with the products. He said the printing was sharp and the thickness of the cardstock was just right! The price was very reasonable. The printing cost was very reasonable. We saved almost 50% of postage by direct mailing.

And last but not least, thanks to Jacob Rider, the account specialist at Smartpress, who connected with me via email once I created the account, making sure I received the free sample book of cardstock and provided me precious advice on the timing of order. Overall I had an amazing experience ordering from Smartpress. I will definitely order again.

Excellent printing company! Extremely professional! I love that they assign an account specialist to your project and provide you graphic design assistance if needed.

The company quality of prints for my magnets were great! It was fast and timely. The magnet itself is strong compared to other companies I've used in the past. Will definitely go through Smartpress for future orders!

My invitations and envelopes order was a little complicated, and the chat bot was actually decent at answering my initial questions. Once I submitted the order, responses to my questions and modifications were usually complete within a business day. There was a printing delay and SmartPress made it right by providing complimentary 2 day shipping, so ultimately my order only arrived a couple business days late. And the quality of the final product is great. Really good color and image resolution, and pretty similar to the soft proofs they gave.

The whole experience seems effortless. Calleigh is amazing – knowledgable and PATIENT. The website is easy to navigate and had loads of options. And our clients (and we!) appreciate the quality.

I have done 2 projects with Smartpress.

I needed an unusual prototype printed piece (a large standing double sided screen). I contacted multiple printers who could not produce it. Smartpress was able to figure out how to do it. The work was outstanding.

I also printed 40 prototype hardcover books with them, and was very impressed with the quality of the work. I highly recommend Smartpress.

Previous years were great.
I was given the runaround about Image quality of my calendar photos summited.
I think now it’s must have just be a stall because you were behind schedules.
Calendars were fine but I lost time selling them because they were delivered only 3 days from Christmas.

This is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a service provider. Customer service was exceptional. The quality of the finished product was exceptional. And pricing was exceptional. Need I say more?
