To start with don’t hand over credit card details until you’re sure you want them, they try and take your CC details to book appointment but it will book without. Don’t hand over any credit card details until you’ve done your research, including countries where they’ve operated for more time, as they’ve only been in NZ for 6 months. Many countries are investigating their service due to high levels of complaints and the fact that proper dentistry can not be done by post. You don’t ever see a genuine dentist or orthodontist, just sales people. If you have crowding you might need tooth removal, which these guys can’t do and may not advise that you need, so they keep the sale. Just get a second opinion from a dental professional first.

The staff was helpful until the payment was made.
They sent me more than 5 texts and emails in 2 days before the appointment. When I arrive there, the staff took 3D scan and explained the procedures.

I was told that the assessment would be made within 72 hours and they would let me know the result BEFORE they charge my credit card. However what happened was they immediately charged my credit card the next day without any notification.

I texted them to ask what was going on.
Nothing comes back.
I even haven't received invoice or receipt.

I understand the Sales part is important for business, however the change of attitude was too obvious before and after the contract.

I started questioning not only about the quality of the service, but also about the possible risks of fraud.

The staff were great and their knowledge was amazing. I would have said excellent but it all seemed a tad rehearsed. I wanted to know more about being treated by an orthodontist vs dentist and there were no definitive answers. The price tag is a definite selling point and very achievable. Would be interested in more information on the long term success rate as they promise a very fast treatment. Also how functional the teeth are at the end of treatment rather than just an aesthetic finish. A very good experience but I also saw an Orthodontist and the information was far greater there.

Everything seems so simple and looking forward for a better smile in the next couple of months

Super friendly staff and they seem to know what they are talking about not just marketing experts.

Everyone was genuinely friendly. From Skyla at the reception, to Joyce whom I dealt with.
Everything was clean, efficient without feeling rushed.
I do not know how this experience could have been better.

I really enjoyed my experience! Very Friendly and returned my call quickly when I called up following my appointment with more questions. My mind was put at ease about the process of whether or not I was a good candidate.

The team at Smile Direct Club Auckland were very friendly and welcoming. Just a bit odd having to wait outside to call someone to come down to let you into the building. But otherwise once up on the 33rd floor. Nice mod client rooms and offices. Great experience and freebies (lip balm and a whitening kit) to take home. The 3D scan is the best way to go. More accurate, which means the aligners should fit better. Awesome customer service Teara 😉👍

Very friendly service, felt well looked after, can’t wait to receive my clear aligner and start straightening my teeth.

Had an amazing experience. Dee was such a bubbly and wonderful person. Definitely 5 star treatment! Would recommend this place to anyone. The staff I saw were all so lovely!

My experience with the Wellington branch of Smile Direct Club was great!
I’m nervous about anything to do with teeth and Gemma was great at putting me at ease and checking in with me to see I was ok during the 3D scan process.
She explained everything thoroughly and was genuinely interested in me as a person and made me feel very happy with my decision to start the straightening process!

Definitely recommend these guys! Get in quick before everyone discovers how great they are!

Take time to read the fine print!
I had a great experience in-store in Wellington, the team were very professional.
The problem: 1 day after I went in for the consultation my credit card has been charged (and it was not the right card - they were given instructions to use one card for the first payment and another for subsequent payments). I was told i'd have 30 days to decide but apparently there's something in the fine print that will fast track everything - this was not highlighted in the consultation despite me specifically asking about having time to think about going ahead with treatment.
I'm still unsure if I want to do this and being rushed into it isn't helping.
Customer service was very apologetic.. but said it will take up to 10 days for this to be reversed... surprising when it only takes 1 day to charge!
