This company is a Scam. They refuse to Detail the denial of your meds in writing and the staff is not qualified to over draw the providers direct of plan, yet they do. They pretend they are so helpful yet they are making life threatening decisions over doctors. The Dept of Justice is needed asap... this is an absolute tragedy. Hopefully we can stop them before more employees become victims.

Our company changed to this company the beginning of the year.it is crazy how expenses they are. Then they don't cover the other meds. they are a scam.

This is the most absolute scam. They give you the run around and turn getting medications filled into a full time job. I have to play verbal gymnastics with them in order to accomplish anything. It is absolutely mind blowing that this is allowed. In addition the best part is they try to blame the doctor and try to blame the pharmacy. Luckily Costco RX came with receipts when Mark at smith RX was like it's for a 30 day RX and Costco said no we tried for 84 days and you declined it. Mark was an absolute clown.

Would give 0 stars. Company does not cover estradiol gel despite having medical necessity and the price being the same as an estradiol patch (which the company does cover). SmithRx is more interested in wasting time with complex paperwork requests than actually covering medications. Should not be allowed to be an insurance company if they don't allow exemptions for medical necessity. Notice how almost all the 5 star reviews are from a company manager, not from the patients themselves. For another example, I am charged $60 for progesterone co-pay through Smith. Through Amazon, I get it for $10. It is a very cheap medication. Smith does keep costs down for companies at the cost of employees spending a bunch of out of pocket money.

SmithRx is wonderful to work with. Always quick to answer and very knowledgeable.

I thought the help was great. I called the lady walked me through everything. My copay was $600 . The lady walk me through all I needed and now my copay is $10 . I think the insurance copay’s are really totally out ridiculous. We already pay high insurance costs as it is . The Smith Rx made it where I could afford it. I really appreciate the Smith RX .

They don't cover anything , i wish I had a different insurance company, this is ridiculous on how the patient has to do the work and if you have Medicare A and B they won't help with prescription cards ..

They have denied all specialty medications, including some of my co-workers. I wouldn't have been prescribed them if other medications worked. When attempting a pre-auth they sent a denial to my doctor, then when the doctor's team attempted to get patient assistance, because SmithRx denied I am not eligible. However, when asked they stated if excluded it should go through an assistance. It did not because the assistance programs refuse to do SmithRx patients as I was told they deny/exclude all specialty medications leaving the cost to the medication company's assistance programs, the assistance programs will not work with them. Without medications now, go onto antibiotics more often the is good for me, and now considering steroid shots to manage. Already made the HR aware of the issues with this company and have recommended based on my and other employees experience that they be discontinued as soon as possible. Will they? Don't know but may have to seek a new position after 6 years profiting for them just for medication coverage for my needs.

I am giving one star for one reason only. For the simple fact that they do for some drugs provide discounts. They don’t know what drugs they are…. You will have to do all the leg work and research your self to find out what they will cover at a zero copay. But they do cover SOME. I am a type 2 diabetic and was prescribed Mounjaro in addition to other medications. They of course had my doctor fill out a prior authorization. Then denied it anyway. They think they know my body and my conditions (there are multiple underlying conditions prior to and complicating the type two diabetes) so now I’m forced to drink LIQUID metformin because my plan doesn’t cover tablets. Gross. I don’t get it. I’m not an infant. And I’m now stuck paying 880.88$ per month out of pocket for the lowest dose of Mounjaro. I will be dropping this insurance as soon as open enrollment comes around as they literally have don’t nothing to help

From onboarding to monthly reports, Smith Rx has been a great partner, provided many cost savings programs, transparency and great communication. Really happy with my experience as a broker and my client is equally happy with this PBM solution!

From the moment we decided to make the switch to Smith RX to now, everyone has been extremely responsive and very helpful. I love the business model for Smith because what they do is different from the typical Prescription Benefit Manager. They are always looking for ways for both the employee and employer to save money and have a very easy experience. We have saved a tremendous amount of money as a company, by using Smith. Our employees are saving money and very happy with the services also!

The monthly meetings are very helpful in identifying savings opportunities. Our account manager is detailed, organized and concise with what she presents to us each month. After the meeting, it is very clear everyone's take aways, and I attribute that to her knowledge and professsionalism

Linh is an outstanding account manager—always responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to supporting our needs as well as our mutual clients. I would highly recommend SmithRX to anyone that is looking for a proactive PBM. I have them personally and place buisness with them as a broker. Their customer service is top notch and their innovate approach to assist member/clients save money is like no other.

This is the worst drug coverage that I have ever seen. I am surprised that it is legal. Smith RX does not cover some of the medications that I take which are medically necessary. They do not provide the option for a prior authorization on MOST name brand drugs and some generics. I even complained to the HR Supervisor at my husband’s employer about this plan and their broker.

I recently had the opportunity to spend three days with the SmithRx team. I couldn't be more impressed with their people, leadership and foresight for the future. Jake Frenz is a tremendous leader and visionary and he and his leadership team are obsessed with changing how pharmacy is delivered through employers and to their employees. SmithRx is a radically different PBM who we will continue to partner with for years to come.
