Loved our stay at Happily Ever After.
It was so cute and I loved the porch!

Have just booked from the UK for a trip next year,online agent was very helpful.so far so good.

Let me see the bed was hard as a rock pool sticks broke and no gas in grill and no dart board . rocker chair broke. I was dissastify when i payed 569 dollars for two nights. Can opener. Don't work. I will never stay again with this company. Very. Poorly mantained the only thing i did like is the spaciious of it and hot tub i got to use after i had to fill it up before i got in it.

We have only been here for a few hours so far but we are disappointed. The cabin sleeps 6 by opening the sofa. However, there are no extra pillows for sleeping. Nor are there towels enough for 6. We have 4 towels, period. We have stayed many places like this and were always provided with things like salt and pepper, coffee filters, dishwashing liquid, etc. Not here.
Not my idea of a great start to our vacation.

What a great place! They called to make sure everything was up to snuff and made us feel at home.

It was horrible. The hot tub was totally nasty! Still have nightmares about it.

It doesn't even deserve a star. The cabin was dirty. Very dirty. It was recorded. I honestly feel like we should have gotten a discount. We drove 5 hours. Then had to drive another 45 minutes to get to the replacement. Next time make sure the cabin is ready instead of just telling someone it is.

We had reserved Dawn's Mountain Dream originally. We arrived much later than the 4pm check in. The road to the cabin was extremely winding and not well marked. The driveway to the cabin was treacherous. We had to go past the driveway to be at an angle that allowed us to climb the steep lane that was just slightly wider than our SUV. After taking the load of groceries into the cabin, one adult went out to get the luggage to find a bear clutching our smallest suitcase. Since the hot tub was reachable from the driveway, and the pool table was in a locked room accessible only from going outside, these amenities would never have been used by any of us.
With children crying and adults shaken, we contacted the staff who immediately helped us make the change to another cabin closer to town with a more comfortable atmosphere for the kids. We were able to use the hot tub and the kids ended up with a "bear story".
We would never recommend this particular cabin, but the people we dealt with were extremely kind and helpful. They did everything they could to save our vacation.

My reservation was short notice but colonial properties handled everything very nicely. Will definitely use this company again. Thanks for everything!

Awesome cabin!! Easy access to all the attractions but far enough away to feel like you are the only person around!! Easy check in, they can send you a text message with your code and it's a keyless entry!! I love it!! Cabin is very nice, clean, and has everything you need!!

The experience with the customer service personnel which I talk to made feel like she was in a hurry to book my cabin. She must having a bad day

The cabin was easy to find, roomy and clean. It was close to the Parkway and all the activities and restaurants. Our family (8 total) was staying for 5 days and we were provided 3 very small/cheap rolls of toilet tissue. When I asked about how we could get additional rolls they said they only provided 1 roll per bathroom (3 BR) and if we needed additional rolls we would have to provide our own/buy them. The hot tub wasn't functional and we had to ask about it twice before they actually had someone come out to look at it. The cabin had a bad mouse issue. We made sure to not leave ANY food items out; however, each night there were several mice that came out and ran rampant. When I told them about it, they said they would have Orkin come out. Not sure if they did or not - still saw them that night. My grandchildren would not sleep in a room by themselves because of them. If you want to swim or use the gym, there is an offsite facility you can use. The day we went, the pool was dirty and crowded. Overall, the cabin was OK for our needs.

Extremely helpful personnel at all times in the rental process.

I would never ever again book a cabin with them! Last year we booked a cabin with them. They sold the cabin with the intention of placing is in another cabin. Fortunately our relatives got there a day early, went to the address of the cabin we rented and met the new owners eating breakfast! They told us the house was sold a year ago!!! Well we confronted colonial properties and they called the police on us to be removed from their office! The police suggested we file a report and it would be filed with BBB. Which we did. But you are taking a risk with your money and your accommodations when you book with them. There are plenty of other very nice legitimate renal companies in the area. I suggest using one of them!!

Good experience in booking. Will be renting a cabin later in July.
