We had our snagging done by Jamie back in February time and received our report shortly afterwards. Unfortunately immediately after the inspection our buyers pulled out and it has taken us another four months to finally get into our home. Perhaps because of this and the disappointment of the sale falling through, I wasn’t quite so on the ball at chasing up what had been looked at!
I had specifically voiced concerns about any hard standing left underneath the topsoil in the back garden as there had been a shipping container sitting there, on the check it was raining so this wasn’t checked, it still should have been done regardless of the weather, we paid for it!
The report was full of decorating defects, chips to doors and cabinets etc and actually not all chips were picked up! No mention of anything to do with the roof, electrics, plumbing…..
When we got the keys to the property we discovered a leak under the kitchen sink, this should have been checked. The oven wouldn’t work, turns out it wasn’t even wired in. Then I tried the Induction hob, turns out that this hadn’t been wired in either!
We have paid a lot of money for this snagging person to ensure our house was up to scratch , I now have no confidence that anything has actually been checked at all other than the visible plain to see paint defects, cupboard chips. So very disappointed with the house builder and this company! I will be looking into how I can make a complaint! Please do not use and don’t waste your hard earned money!

honestly don’t think I could put into words how grateful I am for the support Jamie has given me and my family over the last 6 months.

When we first brought him in to carry out a snagging inspection on our new-build, we expected a report — and yes, the report was incredibly detailed and highlighted issues we never would have spotted ourselves — but what we got was far more than that.

For months we were being fobbed off and dismissed by the builders, made to feel like our concerns didn’t matter. Jamie stepped in and supported us every step of the way. He attended meetings, came back out to the property several times, gave advice whenever we needed it, and has always been at the end of the phone. That level of commitment is rare, and it made a huge difference during a very stressful time.

He hasn’t just been a surveyor delivering a document — he’s been someone who genuinely cared about helping us navigate a difficult situation. Quite honestly, he’s been a godsend and I truly believe he helped turn things around for us.

If you’re buying a new-build, don’t hesitate — get Jamie involved. It’s one of the best decisions we made.

The inspection itself was helpful. A number of issues were identified on the day, and Jamie appeared knowledgeable and encouraged questions, which we appreciated.
The problems began after the visit. We didn’t receive the report for over a week and had to chase twice. When it did arrive, items discussed on site were missing. We had to send the report back twice for amendments because issues were still being left out.
During the inspection, Jamie said he was different from other surveyors and wouldn’t just issue a report and disappear, offering to return to site and speak directly with the builder if needed. Two issues were described as potentially structural and possibly impacting resale. When raised with the developer, only one was confirmed as not compliant with NHBC standards.
We then tried to contact Jamie to attend site as discussed. In total, we emailed him three times and sent one WhatsApp message. We received one response asking if we still needed him to attend; after confirming and rearranging the builder appointment, we heard nothing further.
One issue has since been rectified by the bricklayers, but another area he raised remains unresolved. Unfortunately, due to the lack of follow-up and failure to deliver on what was promised, I wouldn’t recommend the service.

Jamie has just completed his snagging report on our new Barratt house.
He found 69 areas that need attention.
Thankfully, the vast majority were minor cosmetic issues - paintwork - scratches- sealant etc…..but his attention to detail was very impressive.
I can honestly say that we wouldn’t have spotted most of the issues Jamie did.
The bigger issues - front door out of line, radiator not straight, hairline crack on shower tile, chip on cistern, dishwasher not correctly fitted, wrong fuse in boiler switch - are all very easily fixed - but again, we almost certainly wouldn’t have spotted them.
What is equally impressive is the fact that by the time we saw this report, Jamie had already shared it with the Barratt Site Manager - and they’re already on with dealing with them.
Anyone pondering whether to spend the money on Jamie’s services - don’t hesitate - spend the money. It could very well be the best investment you ever make !!!

Can honestly say of all expenses you incur when moving house enlisting Jamie to do a Pro-Snag was best money spent, not only did he find pertinent issues he clearly identified how they were to be resolved. His professional manner was noted by the builder ( in this case Redrow homes) and they didn't dispute anything he highlighted and actioned (with persuasion at times) all items raised. I could not recommend Jamie highly enough and he comes with a 2 year back up should we encounter any problems

The Best Decision We Made During Our New-Build Journey
We honestly don’t know where we would be without Jamie. Without his expertise and thoroughness, we would have been completely unaware of the scale of defects in our new-build home. He identified major issues such as the bowed external wall and the out-of-square front bay window, along with many other problems we would never have spotted ourselves.
What makes Jamie’s service exceptional is that it doesn’t stop at the initial inspection. He’s always available for advice, and he even returns to check the builder’s repairs. On one occasion, he flagged that a repair had not been carried out to the proper standard and instructed the builder to redo the work — giving us peace of mind that nothing is being brushed under the carpet.
We totally trust Jamie to have our best interests at heart, even when he or we face pushback from the builder. His professionalism and persistence ensure that nothing is overlooked and that the work is held to the standard it should be.
The cost of his service is nothing compared to the benefits of truly knowing your new-build is up to regulation and built as it should be. It’s the best investment we could have made.
If you’re buying a new-build, don’t even think twice – having Jamie as your snagger is an absolute must.

I contacted Jamie online after reading reviews and I must admit he does an excellent job. He exceeded our expectations.

Jamie came at the appointed time and took his time finding many issues with the property. On the first day we moved in we had a major shower leak which affected the lighting system and Jamie was here within 15mins of my calling him while the building company couldn’t send anyone out that night. Jamie temporarily fixed one of the baths, and repaired the light. He then returned next day to check and also perform an updated snag to send to the building company. Jamie followed up on our behalf by speaking with the site manager and customer relations manager to make sure our repairs were prioritised.

He has indeed supported us beyond what he needed to do and continues to do so.
I will recommend new home snagging over and over.

We booked a snagging inspection last minute for our new built property via New Home Snagging. We were undecided if we should snagg the property ourselves or call in a professional…. Thank god we did….. I would recommend anyone buying a new build home to have a snagging survey.

Exceptional snagging service from start to finish! Jamie conducted a very thorough inspection on my new build property, covering all aspects. He identified 63 issues that needed to be addressed, most of which i wouldn't have noticed. His expertise has been invaluable in ensuring my home is up to standard. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable snagging company.

I instructed this company after feeling like I was getting nowhere with my developer. The service included ongoing support which turned out to be pretty valuable and made a big difference. I ended up having all snags rectified. initially the developer tried to get out of some issues but Jamie kept firing over the regulations in detail which in turn meant they couldnt deny they werent valid. Great help and full of knowledge. Money well spent.

Jamie was highly recommended by other people on our new build estate and we can see why! We hired him for a post completion snagging surgery and he was absolutely meticulous. He found issues that we would never have spotted and sent the report directly to our developers so they could start the process or correcting the problems straight away. Jamie is incredibly professional and also personable. He explains the whole process and what it is he is looking for. He also has excellent knowledge of different developers and the key issues to look out for. He is incredibly committed to customer satisfaction and even completed our survey when he clearly wasn’t very well. I couldn’t recommended him any more highly.

Highly recommended for your snag inspection. Professional, thorough and customer focused services. The report is very easy to follow and the developer is happy to start working on the defect items right away. All issues are photographed and labelled for tracking and categorised whether minor / major. I work in Project Management, I have been very impressed with this service. Worth every penny spent for the biggest purchase of your life and the peace of mind.
Just note that if you’re considering a snag inspection on your home, you need to check with your developer when it can happen. They told me it could only happen between warranty sign off and the completion (handover). Lucky I asked, I got it organised right away. Best of luck to all moving into new homes.

Jamie is an amazing professional who is extremely thorough. We moved into our new home end of August decided for our piece of mind to get a Snagging survey done now and then again towards the end of the 2 years. So glad we did these. We were luck to have only a few snags, but they are major issues that we would never have seen or know about until it was too later. Jamie has sent a copy of the report to the Persimmon. We now are waiting for them to contact us back. Highly recommend Jamie, and already have.

Jamie did a very through inspection of my new home, And was very helpful and professional.

I booked this company in to do a survey just after we moved in and I’m so glad I did. They found a mountain of issues, quite a few of them serious such as leaks, damp and mould. It was a pretty big list. His ongoing support was well needed as our developer wasn’t playing ball. They re-visited to have an onsite meeting with the site manager and helped us throughout the entire process to ensure everything was done and even came back to do a re-inspection to ensure it was all done to a good standard. I highly recommend!
