Avoid avoid avoid! Constant pushy, annoying phone calls and emails. Did not want to refund deposit as promised, need to be reported to authority

I received lots of phone calls pre installation - they retuned my calls every time before I paid them in full on the day of installation in May 2025. Then nothing! No replies to emails, calls and texts. I was told not to turn on the system until 1/7/25 or I would not get the rebate then I received an email in late June to say don’t turn it on at all until we do the final commissioning. I waited - in mid August I received an email saying I would receive a call organizing the final commissioning within 2 weeks. I waited - nothing. I rang and left a message saying that I wanted to give them the opportunity to respond before I contacted Consumer Affairs Victoria - prompt reply and it was commissioned within the week by 18/9/25. I received the STC form within a few days - this is how they claim the government rebate. I signed and sent it off immediately. I waited. Then I asked when I would receive my rebate which they receive from the Federal Government - the Clean Energy Regulator. No reply - I waited. It is now 3 months since they said they would send me an email from their accounts department asking for bank account details to transfer the money. I am waiting. In the meantime I have asked the Clean Energy Regulator to review their accreditation.

Do not use!! Complete sham of a business who rips off its staff and doesn’t pay them as they should!! No common sense or integrity here! Stay clear!!

I dealt with this company in 2023/2024. Although they still have a website which looks very well put together I don’t believe they are still trading. Before deciding whether or not you want to deal with this company ( assuming you do get a response from them) take a look at the company profile on the Company’s House website. You will find some very interesting information on there.

This company took more than three months to get my project completed after having been paid in full ! My mistake! I was also sold equipment they didn’t have in stock at the time and had no idea when they would be getting it in. I was offered an alternative which wasn’t to the same battery storage capacity. The main communication was via WhatsApp as the phone never seemed to be working. I had to continually pursue them to get any communication and the person I dealt with made out that I had a problem in expecting too much from them. Direct quote-“. We can’t contact all our customers as we have too many” .

The project was eventually completed by an excellent contractor that they use (Sunlight Renewable Energy) and we were very happy with them as an organisation. Great comms and great service, excellent attitude all round and happy to have them in our home.

I was too hasty with my previous review, there was no scam going on, the company was having some delivery delay problems, and telecommunication breakdowns. Lewis has now since contacted me, their contact number(08002922270) is now operating, so hopefully, installation asap.

During sales, excellent for advice and keeping me up to date, excellent installation, everything went smoothly.

After payment, no link to the app sent like they had promised, I'd to find it on the internet on my own, minor glitch with the wi-fi connection to the battery, complete silence when I asked for help.

Out of the blue I had a sales call for aftercare from them and during his pitch I ask about the wi-fi issue, he gets all my details and says he'll help then tells me the cost of the aftercare. Literally the second I said no (I'm not even sure I finished the letter n) he was gone, not even a thanks for your time, bye and absolutely no solution to the connectivity problems I'm having.

Chelsea in the office was my first contact. She immediately put me at ease and offered me a very competitive price for installing a Lux AC coupler and 9.4 kWh Hanchu battery to my already installed panels. She proved to be very knowledgeable about her products. Deposit was paid quickly and my battery was installed within 7 working days . The team that came to fit the battery and coupler were also very knowledgeable, and refused to leave my property until I was happy . They even installed the app on my phone and answered all my questions. Warranties have been registered with Lux and Hanchu , and includes a 5 year workmanship warranty with SBG In all , a great effort . Thank you to the team .

The whole experience from start to finish was good. No hard sell, just good information and a competitive price.

Fitting was scheduled for around midday but recieved a call saying it would be around 5.00pm. Finally arrived at 6.00pm just as we were giving up hope. Probably been better had they just said pm rather than a specific time

Fitter was absolutely brilliant. Answered all the questions I put to him (and there were a few!)

Finally finished around 8.00 and was then going to the final job (a friends so we knew it was true). He then had to drive 150 miles home.

Finally received a call from Chelsea around 8.15 to check everything was ok

Some might see the timing as a negative (not necessarily something they can control) but the fact that they are working so late for me, far outweighs that

A star performance all round

The fitters were held up at a previous job and turned up very late, despite that they worked extremely hard and efficiently to get the job done that day. All up and running and working a treat. Thank you all great job.

I called up to enquire about replacing my faulty inverter. The service was so quick! It was installed the next day. The engineers were great they took the time to help download the app and made sure everything was working correctly before leaving. I would definitely recommend the company.

With the 20% VAT removal beginning of Febuary I decided to take the plung to get a 10KWh battery.
Had a Glowatt inverter running with my 16 solar panels for 18 months. So new inverter along with the battery to make this all compatable. Contacted Solar Battery Group and all fitted all with in 2 days !! Only issue was the sub contractors once fitted gave little time to run through workings on apt etc. Contacted Lewis who seems the be the owner and as they have full control at their end put a few adjustments right. Note: U-Tube do a video to talk you through. I have also changed to Intelligent Octopus Go to use cheap electricity (7.5p Kwh) between 11.30pm and 5.30am. You can program the battery on apt, to do this and works very well. We have i-boost to heat water. This now only works when battery full and the sun can drive it. Also have a Zappi 2 electric car charger. Still awaitng a bit of decent sun to see how this how performs but have in the mean time programed it to charge when low over night.

Battery was delivered in advance and installation arranged for after 3 as requested. Unfortunately on the day of install, the 5th snowfall of the apocalypse (according to the media reports, but what we call winter in Yorkshire) landed and the team got stuck in traffic. comms were excellent though and the kept in touch however as the weather worsened they called and asked if they could come in the morning.
Whilst I wasnt in for the install, they managed to do what I struggle to, which was get my 18yo son out of bed earlier than 11am! I received a phone call to confirm all was completed and working, and when i arrived home, you wouldnt have known that they had been apart from the doubling of battery capacity

Prompt response to my enquiry. Once the Christmas & New Year period was over the battery & inverter were delivered and installed two days later. Now all up and running. Great service!

The Solar Battery Group are listing products they do not have access to!

We at Infinity Innovations Ltd are the sole distributor of the Lux Power & Hanchu Brand to the UK Market on a Business to Business Basis. We have never sold to The Solar Battery Group and do not intend too. We have emailed and called them several times to remove our products only to have our emails unanswered and our calls disconnected.

Do not let this company take your money for any of the Lux Power & Hanchu branded products.

The crew arrived on time in spite of very poor weather and installed the system .Called the company to resolve small problems with paper work and wifi which they are looking into, very pleased with system
