I felt I got a good service from solid wood tops throughout the process. Firstly, their website is simple and explains things well. That cuts down on the need to ask lots of questions and educates on the limitations and capability of wood top manufacture.

I went for a desk top and shelf I'm turning into a monitor riser with my own design legs. I'm happy with the outcome, and the assigned woodshop which made my design for me. The finish was great, and I'm very happy with it.

Loads of useful information made it easy to work out what I needed. Great service providing a more premium desk top for my IKEA Alex drawers. Fast communication.

Website was very well detailed to suit almost all of my specifications for a (boring!) walnut shelf.

I was able to add drawings after placing my order, so all good so far.

I found this site after contacting 21 local companies, of which only four have replied.

I didn’t have the money to pay nearly £2,500 for a fitted office, but didn’t want an ‘off the shelf’ top, I wanted a specific size with a curved area for me to comfortably use the desk across a corner. I cane across solid wood tops and thought maybe it was too good to be true. However the experience has been fabtastic, so much advice, very easy to place order and someone to fulfil the order was found within hours. Great communication throughout :-) I’ll have exactly the office I wanted, better actually for a fraction of the cost.

The SolidWoodTops website is incredibly thorough with great explanations of different step in the process and covering all of the many options they provide, it makes you very confident that you are working with the right people for any of your wood top needs.

This site and it's FAQs were invaluable in helping me find a suitable desktop to fit my standing desk frame. The photos on the website were extremely helpful, as was the design wizard which clearly explained all of the options with examples, so that I could make an informed decision. Responses from the team were prompt, with excellent attention to detail.

Excellent service provided. Great range of choices to ensure I end up with a table top that suits all my needs. Wasn’t very familiar with some of the bespoke option terminology but the offered links to explanations and pictures really helped me making the right choices. Will use again.

As someone who doesn't know much about woodwork, their FAQ page and jargon busting articles were invaluable. The ability to search though customers photos gave me further confidence in my choices. The ordering process was intuitive and gave me all the transparency I needed in terms of price estimates.

Ordered a solid walnut top for my sit/stand desk from Solid Wood Tops. My experience echoes the positive rave reviews. I was responded to within a day. Joe put me in touch with a workshop that specialized in the type of wood I was after and took care of the ordering process on my behalf. He even provided exact information on where the wood would be sourced from and the grade/quality of the wood. The end result is spectacular! The best piece of wood I've ever owned.
