I have had an excellent experience with Sonovate on many levels and this is down to the team notably Adam Ellis who is my âgo to â person
Sonovate does have some issues that need addressing with the software and updating client payments but this is not a person issue . Any issues i have are always dealt with promptly by Adam and he has a really good understanding of the pressures and frustrations of the client when the software goes wrong .
No customer service whatsoever
Awfull. Noncustomer service. I am still waiting on a significant payment of 3 months ago. When you reach out to customer service they donât answer back and donât solve their own problems (calculated VAT wrong). Donât fall for their fancy dashboardâŠ.itâs marketingâŠwithout substance behind it.

They used to be really good, and the service is still solid. But they have removed the customer service lines so you can't get hold of anyone quickly anymore. It's all on a chat and response time vary from 30 min to 3 hrs.

We have been using the Sonovate platform for the last few months and really blown away by how this works next to competitorsâ offerings, I have had the chance to use quite a few of the better known providers in the recruitment space and this platform is miles ahead. I was a little hesitant at first regarding the platform fee but have to say it paid for itself in the first month of use and the transparent nature of how these guys operate is a breath of fresh air.
Completely transparent, you run your own credit searches often receiving an instant response. I have been limited in this respect before and the ability to run different credit limit requests and payment terms to help build a picture of your client is invaluable and really helps plan your future targets and gives you an insight into the health of your prospects.
For start-ups I couldnât recommend the platform enough, it really does encourage growth and the ability understand your own clients, havenât even had chance to use the temporary side yet but as a permanent offering its brilliant, flattens out any cash flow problems and the payment is really prompt. The customer executives really know their stuff and come back to you within hours on the platform, it feels more like a business partnership than any other commercial relationship I have encountered in the last 10 years. I wouldnât consider anything else now these guys are fantastic at what they do.
Jack on a personal level is the easiest âsalesâ person I have ever dealt with, personable but very detailed orientated he wants to ensure he doesnât overstate the offering and makes sure itâs compatible with your plans and business. He really knows his stuff and you can tell he worked in recruitment previously, he is a great asset to the invoice factoring market and has to be the most straight forward person I have spoken to in this space ⊠canât thank him enough for answering all my questions and queries and really walking us through the first few placements on the platform.
Sonovate Review
The Sonovate system is easy and straightforward to use. The only downside is that there is no contact number for urgent enquiries which I definitely think is necessary. Adam Ellis however has been extremely helpful and has helped resolve any issues in a timely fashion.

Magda from Sonovate is brilliant, super responsive, always available and lovely. The platform is easy to use and providing all your info is in, it is like magic in the background. Very clear and transparent with charges. Wish all the service providers I worked with were like Magda.

Awful service
Awful service. Since moving over to the new platform, their âcustomer experience phone lineâ simply has someone saying Iâm sorry we no longer take calls, raise a ticket.
Iâve had an ongoing ticket for 2 months - still not resolved. They have sent invoices to clients in error, sent payments to the wrong contractors and simply no way of resolving.

Sonovate has consistently let me down in ways that no professional organisation should. From missing timesheets that leave candidates at risk of not being paid on time, to their absolutely dreadful customer service, my experience with them has been nothing short of shocking.
Iâve spent 45 minutes on hold waiting for someone to assist me, only to be ignored and left without any resolution. Emails and requests for callbacks? Donât botherâtheyâll likely go unanswered. Itâs infuriating to deal with such a lack of professionalism in a service that directly impacts peopleâs livelihoods.
The only saving grace is their PAYE team based in India, who are efficient and seem to care about getting the job done. Unfortunately, the rest of the operation fails miserably.
Sonovate needs a serious overhaul in how they handle their clients and processes. Until then, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for a reliable and professional payroll service. Avoid them at all costs if you value your time, money, and reputation.

Foe someone who is as unskilled with technology as i am, i was fearing the worst when i asked for help to upload my invoices. I could not have been more wrong Ambra was incredible. Sonovate have been very helpful withâŠ
Sonovate have been very helpful with factoring permanent invoices as well as supporting me with temporary staff / contractors.
Is it a perfect product? No. Do they make changes that are for the betterment of the service? Yes
Everyone has been patient, I have found that the Capital (Debt Collection) team are fantastic and Jack Spencer who is my account manager is attentive and patience who really cares.
I will keep using Sonovate and do recommend them, however look forward to more updates on the platform.
Why have one sales call when you can have 100?
Had a sales call from Sonovate as I had set up a business recently. I always take the calls as I work in sales myself. What I didnt expect , after declining their services was to be inundated by their 'Partners' and I mean phone calls , emails and Linked in requests. I have explained to Sonovate the role of GDPR an sharing unrequested personal details. Lets hope they listen and action my request.

The importance of customer service and the product
We recently joined Sonovate from a competitor as we were not happy with the service/onboarding we had received. As a newly established agency offering temporary workers this process was completely new to us. From our initial conversation to the onboarding to the day to day running of it the process has been brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble and there is lots of support getting started. The system itself is very straight forward and you have the ability to pay candidates when it works for them and at short notice. Also everything can be matched to your company's colours so it continues to be an extension of your brand. Whilst unlike others there is a monthly fee to pay the service and candidate experience is genuinely worth it. We look forward to building a long term partnership with Sonovate as our payroll provider and cannot recommend them highly enough.
