Thorough, responsive, and easy
Quick, easy, and hands-on support to file our taxes as first-time filers in Portugal. Extremely responsive to all of our questions to understand what would be different than our county's tax filing process. When a question came up from finanças, they were quick to reach out to them directly and resolve it.

Really quick responses. All of the steps were clearly explained and when I misunderstood something, the issue was resolved really quickly. I could never have registered the car myself in Portugal with all the steps that are required. Can only recommend.

Trustworthy, attentive partners for our taxes
My wife and I connected with Step Inside Portugal through Expacity webinars and their professional services directory. We wanted to get everything right for our first time filing taxes in Portugal as new immigrants from the USA. The professionals at Step Inside Portugal supported us through all the steps, and made everything clear and easy for us. In the end our finances were ridiculously simple for our first year, but there were nuances around Portuguese law for how to report our income that we would not have understood without expert guidance. We lived on savings for the first half of the year, and then on distributions from my State retirement plan's investment account (which we can draw on after separating from employment but before officially retiring). We were grateful for their thorough questions about how the retirement plan's investment fund is managed to be certain it was categorized correctly on our return.
In short: you are in good hands with Step Inside Portugal! They are expert professionals who will answer all of your questions and make all the nuances clear to you. Communications were excellent and trouble-free, primarily by e-mail. I'm sure they take the same care with all of their services, and bring the same high level of conscientious expertise. Highly recommended.

My wife and I are retired Americans living on D7 visas in Portugal, and we didn’t know what to do for our first tax filing here. Our income is from Social Security and investments. Step Inside Portugal made our first tax return in Portugal quick and easy! And it was all done online! They are an excellent company with caring, professional, and trustworthy staff! Communication with them has been easy and they have been responsive to all our questions. We will definitely use them again next year, and for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend trusting your tax returns to Step Inside Portugal! They take the worry away!

Despite the absence of an official Subaru representative in Portugal, they navigated every regulatory complexity with ease. Even though your Subaru was not originally for the European market and lacked an SOS system, they resolved every technical obstacle throughout the process.

I have been living and working in Portugal for 9 years now and have been in contact with many legal professionals over the course of these 9 years and have a pretty good in-depth knowledge of how things work in Portugal. Step Inside Portugal, and specifically Ana Rita, have been a very positive surprise! Concrete, precise, knowledgeable and what made the biggest difference for me - agile, entrepreneurial, resourceful, always looking for a different, if not best solution.
Step Inside Portugal definitely stands out in the traditional shortcomings of Portuguese legal environment as a service that you feel can make a difference in what is very often a very complicated navigation through the maze of Portuguese bureaucracy. My sincere recommendations!
