Legalisation of vehicles
I had the pleasure of using Step Inside Portugal for my vehicle legalization, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service. From the very start, Rui was incredibly responsive and friendly, providing clear and thorough instructions every step of the way. Although the process was a bit lengthy—mostly due to IMT—the team at Step Inside Portugal made everything as smooth as possible.

I recommend this company to everyone. They helped me with becoming a resident of Portugal and took care of everything, registering me with the tax authority, helping me with my registration as a resident etc.
They also help with accounting and tax returns. Very friendly and professional service.

StepinsidePortugal has helped me clear the customs for my car back in 2024. The process was somewhat difficult, with a lot of bureaucracy involved.
The company helped me from A to Z, throughout the whole process, with a lot of patience and customer-oriented approach. They are professionals who care of their clients, their needs, help navigate difficult local bureaucracy and make the result happen. At no time had I the feeling that this is about money. They put customer satisfaction and their reputation at stake, then follows the result, for both the client and the company.
The manager, who accompanied the whole process with me is Mr Rui. Highly recommend him.

Customer service is great
I had a great experience with Step Inside Portugal! They helped me register my car in Portugal, which was a complicated process because my car was from outside the EU and needed special certification. Despite this, they handled everything smoothly and made it easy for me.
Their customer service is great – they’re professional, friendly, and always ready to help. If you need help with car registration or other services in Portugal, I highly recommend them. Thank you for making the stressful process so much easier!

It was a real pleasure to work with Step Inside Portugal! Rui made the whole process of car import very simple and straightforward. I was truly amazed from the very beginning when I got a reply to my initial email in a fraction of time on Sunday! Not many people/ companies in Portugal will maintain such amazing service… PT number plate was received in less than two months while I was expecting twice or even triple more time for that.

Very bad experience
I keep asking myself,
why did they agree to have a meeting online (after paying the very high amount they ask) if they knew they couldn't help me??.
That is my concern. I think she should have told me there was no point in paying as she was not able to help me but instead, she sent me the link to pay.
That says a lot!!

As per our standard procedure, we provided you with instructions to book and pay for the meeting. Once we sent the payment link, your behavior became increasingly inappropriate, including unfounded accusations of extortion, which we strongly refute.
It’s important to note that we are a small business, just like yours, and it’s deeply disheartening to see an unjust review like this. As a fellow business owner, you should understand the potential harm such baseless claims can cause, especially when we were transparent from the very beginning.

I had a very bad experience with Step…
I had a very bad experience with Step Inside Portugal. Once i paid 153,75€ for an on line meeting, the info i received was terribly insufficient and inadequate. I wanted to be informed about the constitution of a company in Portugal for real property investment. They compromised to send me a table with taxes about it, and they never send it to me. Once I asked for this, they wanted to invoice me again.

During this consultation, you also mentioned potential real estate investments in Portugal, either through a Portuguese or Spanish company, and we discussed the tax implications.
- A few weeks after our consultation, you sent us an Excel spreadsheet listing four potential property investments. You requested that we calculate the tax implications of each investment, comparing the outcomes for both a Portuguese and Spanish company structure. Given the depth of analysis required to provide accurate, tailored tax scenarios across multiple properties and jurisdictions, this work extended beyond the scope of our initial consultation. We explained that, to perform this level of detailed analysis, we would need to charge an additional fee, as it involves substantial time and expertise to provide a thorough and accurate assessment.
