I recently bought a new bed from Sterling Furniture, London Road, Glasgow. Eric was the salesman. What an outstanding salesman. He was very knowledgeable on each and every product in his large department. He told me that he had nearly 30 years experience in selling beds. I found him to be very patient, knowledgeable and understanding. I did not feel rushed or pressurised into choosing an expensive item as I went to the store on two occasions. I listened to his advice and chose the correct product for me. What a credit he is to your company. It’s a pleasure to go into your store and be served by someone who knows their product and who gives outstanding customer service. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. I left the store very happy that I had chosen the correct product for me. Thank you again Eric.

Excellent service
Went to London road store today and had the pleasure of dealing with Evelyn and Lynette. They were warm and friendly right from the minute I asked them for help. I was looking for two lamps and only saw one on display. They quickly located a second, wrapped them in bubble wrap and helped me out to my car with them. Nothing was too much trouble. Take heed Uddingston branch. I visited there last night and they only had one lamp in stock and staff member didn’t offer to check other stores for me.. it was patently obvious she wasn’t interested . Take a bow Evelyn and Lynette , you are a credit to your company.

We came to have a look at sofas, not particularly intending to buy there and then. We were so impressed with the quality and helpfulness of the lovely lady who attended to us that we did buy our sofa there and then!

Great service, huge choice and no oressure sales
I have visited several stores looking for a new sofa and have been put off by over pushy sales people. From the minute we entered the store in London Rd, Glasgow we knew this was where we’d find our new furniture. Frank, our salesman, was super helpful but left us to look. He checked in with us regularly and offered suggestions when he saw the look we liked. I am so pleased we decided to stop here. Would recommend the service to anyone looking to buy new furniture.

Delivery came earlier than expected but got a call the week before to ask if that was OK if not the store would hold it. The delivery came on the expected day at the expected time. Two helpful drivers and the sales lady was great too

New Sofa day
Hi just received my new sofas from Sterling. The gentleman who sold me my suite was lovely and very helpful. Suite came quick & is absolutely beautiful, however we had a problem getting a delivery time/slot that worked for us as they don't deliver on a sat so asked for a afternoon slot to help us out but they weren't very accommodating to our needs as we both work Monday- Friday. They eventually gave in & delivered it last on that particular day. Happy with everything else.

Beware of the quality and short lifespan
Buyer beware. The quality of leather sofas from Sterling Home is going downhill rapidly.
We bought a leather sofa set comprising of a 3 seater, 2 seater and recliner chair costing over £3000. It was delivered in June 2022. Its now sagging on the 2 seater and was inspected and we were told it's normal wear and tear. I would have to pay to get it fixed.
I've also noticed that the leather on the 2 seater at the point between the 2 seat cushions is starting to peel. It's probably not worth reporting it to Sterling or the care plan as that's probably going to be put down to normal wear and tear too.Issues like these on a sofa just under 3 years old that's ridiculous.
My last sofas were leather and also from Sterling and we had them for over 7 years with absolutely no issues. They were in perfect condition so we gave these away when we got the new sofas.
For a leather sofa to not even last 3 years is absolutely ridiculous. Cheap furniture brought in from China and poor quality control. You only get a 2 year guarantee with Sterling on sofas as I was informed. So don't expect your lovely new sofas to last much longer than that. It has totally put me off any future purchases with Sterling furniture.
