Disappointing print quality and customer service
I had a really disappointing experience with StickerDot and unfortunately would not use them again.
I ordered over $400 worth of labels for my new skincare business and the finished product was nothing like I expected from the artwork I approved. The background was supposed to be a warm cream but the labels arrived with a very noticeable light green cast. This wasn't a subtle screen-to-print difference — it completely changed the look and feel of my branding and meant I wasn't comfortable using them on my products.
The round lid labels were also noticeably off-centre, which was particularly disappointing for professionally printed product packaging.
I contacted StickerDot, supplied multiple photos at their request and explained the issue. Their response was that the colour fell within their acceptable CMYK variation and they ultimately refused my request for a refund. They offered a discount on another order and suggested adjusting the colour for a future print run, but after spending more than $400 on labels I can't use, I wasn't prepared to spend more money hoping the next batch would be right.
I was also disappointed to discover that the printing itself is not done in New Zealand. I had specifically wanted to support a local business, and had I understood that the actual production was being outsourced overseas, I would have chosen a local printer instead.
I completely understand that there can be some variation with professional printing, but a warm cream printing visibly green, combined with the alignment issue and the way my complaint was ultimately handled, was not an acceptable result for me.
Unfortunately, an expensive lesson for a new small business. I won't be ordering from StickerDot again.

We have carefully reviewed your concerns and the correspondence regarding your order. As explained during your communication with the escalation department, colour variations can occur during the CMYK printing process, and the final colour was assessed to be within our acceptable production range. As for your concerns regarding the alignment of the lid labels, there was no communication regarding this in the email. If you could give us more information and send a photo of the off-centred lid labels. Our customer service team would be glad to assist you with this.
Regarding production, we also understand your disappointment about the order's origin. We strive to be transparent about our production process and regret if this did not align with your expectations.
We respect and understand your decision, and we sincerely appreciate you giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. Your feedback has been shared with our team as we continue to review and improve our processes and customer experience.
