Worst Customer Services experience
Probably the worst customer services experience I have ever had! After a multitude of emails back and forth plus telephone conversations with them, I still have not received a response to a very simple question. I am noting down the case reference here (Case #00451531) so that Stiga themselves can verify here what I am talking about. They chose to ignore my latest correspondence with them on 18 March 2026.
Separately, I logged a message with them that I wished to make a formal complaint. Surprise, surprise, they chose to ignore that too. Again I am noting down the case reference here (Case #00454188) so that Stiga themselves can verify here what I am talking about.
I bought a Stiga753 lawnmower fiveâŠ
I bought a Stiga753 lawnmower five weeks ago and have used it 7 times on a large lawn at first I was happy with the performance and finished cut of the lawn but on cut number four the self propelled element of the mower stoped working so I had to push it my observation is that the cables become stretched and are of poor quality by cut 7 everything had gone wrong the motor kept cutting out then the electric start didnt start and the battery would not recharge so for 525 pounds and 7 one hour mowing sessions my conclusion is that this is the worst mower I have ever come across in my fourty years of gardening I bought this mower to be used only on this one customers lawn because he lets me use one of his fields for growing plants on so please all people of England avoid this range of mowers completely its the Honda536 next expensive but reliable unlike this stiga junk
And not cut the grass yet....
Bought a Stiga Collector 132e lawnmower.
Unable to connect the arms to mower as the screws aren't fit for purpose. The grass collection box doesn't fit together properly and collapses when introduced to the mower. Might just send it back before attempting to cut the grass.
Im a professional gardener and will never buy stiga again.
Im a professional gardener and gave stiga about £2500 worth of a try. The backpack, with two of the 475 cells, fast chargers, sph900ae, the 700 series polesaw and short arm hedge cutter. Pole saw broke immediatley and the dealer refunded that leaving me feeling uncertain about being stranded with all these batteries that would soon be non refundable.
next was the extending feature of the sph900ae being hampered by the worst tensioning handle i've ever encountered. something like a bike seat clamp would've been infinitely better but no, stiga went with some plastic that felt like something that comes from a christmas cracker in their classic yellow coloring. that was useless from day one and made using it a pain in the arse. After one battery cooked off in the van causing a nightmare of health worries and a more than a days work plus purchase of a new hedge cutter lost i was onto Stiga for warranty claims. This was like dealing with a dodgy garage who've sold you a cut and shut car. The faceless, AI generated emails came back semi reliably. A polite go F'yourself is all you'll get. Don't buy stiga. The dealer i bought from apologised and has stopped stocking them as (safe to assume)he was out of pocket having supplied an e-475 cell replacement. The 2nd hand gear has no resale value. The parts costs, for example, i stripped and tested my sph900ae, the failed part being the ECU type control unit. this costs the exact amount the whole new tool costs. So not only are Stiga tools generally a poor range of products with zero warranty support but they're not the least bit interested in right to repair. Somthing i noted they claim to have signed up to as part of an EU wide campaign to cut waste the result of poor design and planning. This overly tall claim is something notably they boast of in their shareholder reports. I read that whole thing. Not one mention of how they're broadly perceived of as cowboys with innumerable failed projects, lines of tools and dubious business practices. They also boasted of exciting new tool lines in this report, if you follow that thread it led to some secateurs and basic hand tools, clearly basic chinese manufacturing with their Stiga brand printed on it..
Brilliant customer service
Bought a lawnmower and strimmer.
Both work absolutely fine. Cordless rechargeable battery the way forward.
Customer service even over two years later is fantastic.
Mountfield Electress 30 Li mower, power control lever forâŠ
A replacement power control lever for the Mountfield Electress 30 Li battery mower lasted one outing before snapping, just as the original had. This lever was not put under abnormal pressure; its simply not fit for purpose. Do not buy this mower.
I would put zero if I could
I would put zero if I could. Appalling company. My elderly dad ordered a lawn mower from them. It broke down straight away. He rang their customer service who were useless. Tried to fob him off with manuals to rectify the issue himself. They basically told him the warranty is useless and they wonât collect the lawn mower and give him his money back. Steer clear of this rip off company who just do not care.
29/9/2025 Update: Stiga requested contact details to look in to my complaint which I sent them straight away. Four days later and I still havenât heard from them. Very poor service!
3/10/2025 Still no response from Stiga.
14/10/2025 Why havenât you contacted me Stiga? Youâve had my details for weeks and you still havenât tried to rectify the issue. In the meantime my 86 year old dad is stuck with a mower that doesnât work. You have no shame.

Questionable Reliability
Purchased a Twinclip 955VR self propelled mower for £900 in April. Used approx 20times on my lawn (flat and smooth) which is around 500m2. Last weekend the mower lost drive mid cut. Local stockist repaired the machine and presented me with a bill for over £100. Advised this is not covered under warranty as the drive belt is a consumable part. I can accept a belt is a consumable part but not after 5months and relatively little/light use. If it was 2 years down the line I could maybe have accepted it but not 5months. Contacted Stiga direct who replayed the âitâs consumable partâ and not interested in any form of goodwill gesture. Wishing I had bought another brand now as I fear Iâve bought something which may eat belts for fun and who knows what else will go wrong.

Stiga 675 petrol lawnmower
Had my Stiga 675EX series petrol mower 13 yrs and had it serviced twice in that time. I live in London and my rural garden is at my home in northern France. Pre Brexit/Covid I visited my French home every two weeks. Post Brexit/Covid due to escalating travel costs I only visit once a month. During pandemic there was a14 month gap. My stiga has started first time on every occasion and coped with my overgrown grass regularly. Best mower Iâve had in 22 years

Poor customer support in the UK
I have a Stiga A 5000 and have had ot for about a year. Unfortunately, despite supposedly being a premium product in the range, I have had multiple issues with it. 3 out of 5 mowing sessions need intervention - it gets lost, gets stuck in a flower bed or has some error message which neither Stiga nor the dealer know how to fix. I have raised cases and complaints with Stiga customer support and the level of service is truly shocking. No one seems to have any technical knowledge and the primary aim appears to be to try and fob off the customer and get them to contact the dealer. I have an open case which should have been answered last week, but after 4 days, no response. No accountability of the problem at all.
Itâs a shame, but I feel Stiga is losing ground to the other brands Husqvarna, Kress, etc

The stiga aerohover mower is rubbishâŠ
The stiga aerohover mower is rubbish it's too heavy, won't hover great if u want a cardio workout but all but useless as a mower and certainly does not hover, having spent £100 on it I should have just bought a flymo. I now borrow my friends next door and it does hover the stiga requires that I also push on the handle with the top of my legs
In short not fit for purpose and my last visit to stiga gardening équipment the battery pack should have been in a shoulder bag, even then I am not confident it would work
Ideally I would like stiga to take it back and refund me. Its 2 months old. I have tried it 3 times

Excellent customer service!
I ordered lawnmower blade for my Dad online and found the process easy and straightforward. I received regular delivery updates and the blade arrived in great condition. My Dad initially thought the blade was too small and when I contacted customer service they were extremely accommodating, arranged the refund and made the process of returning straightforward. When it turned out to be the correct part after all, again, customer service were great and allowed us to keep the part. My Dad was extremely impressed and will be a return customer after this experience.

I bought A Stiga brushcutter BC330A inâŠ
I bought A Stiga brushcutter BC330A in July 2023 and have to say that is the worst piece of machinery that I have EVER bought. It has never worked properly amd âBogs Downâ immediately after starting In the first year of purchase I hardly ever saw it as it was sent to a Stiga service engineer to try and solve the problem Eventually he said there was no problem as it started well â well he would say that as he was a front for Stiga. Yes it does start easily but put it under load and it immediately âBogs Downâ. Any one who is unfortunate enough to have bought one of these will probably know what I am saying.
I have to say steer well clear unless you are a masochist and have money to burn
I have kept the machine for just on 2 years as I am the eternal optomist thinking t will eventually do the honourable thing and actually work, But sad to say No..
I am speaking as a retired professional gardener who has used many brushcutters so I know about them.
I was seduced by the price.. BIG MISTAKE.
I would avoid this piece of kit and go for something with known reliability.

Bought a Stiga a5000 robotic mower yearâŠ
Bought a Stiga a5000 robotic mower year and half ago. Have had nothing but trouble from the with it. I was away for 12 days and had to get someone to reset it and move it cause it was stuck for no reason 7 times. Constantly gets blocked, doesnât go around obstacles, leaves the boundary area and gets stuck. Leave at least 2 ft uncut at the edges even though it has been set at the edge. Doesnât work for a week without needing to be reset. Canât do a reboot from the app. The cap that opens wonât stay shut at times and is easily broken off when lifting up your clear any objects. Would I recommend this robot mower, NO. Too many issues and way too glitchy with hardware and software problems. This is meant to be a premium product at a premium price. If I had my time back again, Iâd definitely look at a different product.

A very happy customer indeed.
I very recently purchased a Stiga HT 100e battery operated hedge trimmer, delivery was quoted as 7 days but it arrived the day after my order was placed !
Very well made with a very competitive price and a 5 year guarantee.
I have used it a couple of times and am absolutely delighted with its performance and build quality. Jobs that would have taken ages with shears take a few minutes.
A very happy customer indeed.

Ordered Stiga 950vr
Ordered Stiga 950vr, update from previous review 6 days ago. Stiga responded asking for my contact details through Trustpilot which I supplied. Not had any contact from them, which seems indicitive of the disdain they have for customers or the total lack of problem solving skills .

Stiga 5000 robotic mower - avoid like the plague
Bought a Stiga 5000 robotic mower two years ago. Supposedly top of the range, but has caused nothing but trouble from the outset. Constantly gets blocked, bumps into things even when programmed to avoid, leaves the designated area and gets stuck. At most it has worked for a week without needing to be reset. The software simply isnât good enough. Hardware wise, also numerous flaws - not well designed or engineered. To cap it, customer service has been atrocious. No attempt to resolve, always excuses and refused to provide a refund. I never write reviews, but this experience has been so bad hopefully others will read, choose Kress or other makes and avoid a terrible experience.

They dont do what they say they will.
My elderly parents bought a Stiga lawnmower as you got 2 batteries with it.
After purchase it said you had to apply for it online. I did this on their behalf sending copies of all the necessary proof they require for purchase and we have heard nothing from them.
I Tried emailing the company to the email it says on their site but they are not getting through and being returned. How are you supposed to contact them. Phones dont get answered.

Excellent customer service!
I phoned recently for a query I had about my recent order, the staff were really polite, informative, knowledgeable, and understanding about what I mentioned and they gave me steps to follow in order to have the query resolved. Thoroughly impressed, alongside the brushcutter I have too!
