I previously left a rather harsh review, which I have now deleted after taking some time to reflect.

Things went wrong with my order and, at the time, I was understandably frustrated. However, having since spoken directly with James, I’ve come to understand some of the hurdles they have been dealing with, many of which were through no fault of their own.

Yes, my meat arrived later than expected, and yes, I reacted too quickly with some harsh comments. But I did receive my order, and I have to say the quality of the meat goes above and beyond. It was absolutely worth the wait.

Sometimes life doesn’t run smoothly, especially when you’re trying to keep a business going through difficult circumstances. I think it’s important to recognise that there are real people behind these businesses, and sometimes they deserve a little understanding and patience.

So, having spoken to James and understood more of what has been happening, I’m happy to give credit where it’s due. I will definitely order again, and I’d encourage people to bear with these guys and give them a chance. ❤️

This is the second time that an order hasn't arrived, the first time was back in February where over £87 ordered and still not resolved or refunded. I am hoping that this one will be resolved shortly or my next option would be legal.

I’ve ordered from Stilton Butchers a number of times now, and once again they’ve been outstanding.

I accidentally misunderstood the delivery date and was expecting my order to arrive by Wednesday in time for our family BBQ that weekend, when it was actually scheduled for the following Wednesday. I contacted their customer service team, and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They quickly arranged for my order to be delivered on Saturday morning, which meant our BBQ could go ahead as planned. That level of customer service is hard to find these days and was genuinely appreciated.

As for the food, the quality was exceptional as always. The Tomahawk steaks were the star of the BBQ and had everyone talking. I honestly don’t know how Stilton Butchers manage to source meat of this quality at such competitive prices, but the value for money is incredible.

If you’re looking for top-quality meat backed up by fantastic customer service, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Stilton Butchers. They continue to exceed my expectations.

I believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. Yes Stilton Butchers had issues, but I’m delighted to say they are back on track and delivering quality meats at affordable choices. My order has turned up on time as promised and the meat is superb. Well done Stilton Butchers, the phoenix has risen from the ashes and long may it continue. 👏

Companies House show them as being in the process of being struck off and wound up. I would not place an order with them again

I place an order and given a date to select for delivery. This date passed and I tried to contact them. The phone line didn’t exist, so I emailed them. Only to be told the order was delayed due to a change in the website and was given a date when this order would be processed and delivered. But no, no confirmation of delivery, no communication as to why. So I messaged via WhatsApp, messenger and email, they fix give me a new telephone number all I got was an answering machine, so I left a message. Nothing!!! I then got a message saying I will call you shortly, oh dear! Again nothing. So I think the moral of this story is don’t buy from this bunch of cowboys. Don’t believe anything they say, go to your local butchers!!!!

I have ordered from this company previously and always been happy with the meat supplied. HOWEVER now there are constant delays and empty promises and I have to fight to get my money back through the bank. They dispute the refunds and do everything they can not to refund monies paid. No answer on the phone, no replies to emails. Charlatans taking money under false pretences and sending 2 or 3 'special offer' emails daily. Stay clear if you want to keep your money and want good customer service. This is not provided here.

Very good meat, absolutely fantastic Tomahawks, and lamb shanks. Will definitely order again from James, fantastic service, personal delivery. you won’t go wrong with Stilton Butchers at very reasonable prices. Andy

Ordered the gorgeous Chateaubriand x 3, sausage, gammon, and boneless lamb leg. The order was delayed, but I was told about the delays with the hot weather and other things. I didn't mind waiting. It did arrive all perfect, and everything was lovely and fresh.

I would give them a huge minus if I could. I made an order on 3rd February 2026. It never arrived. A whole series of lies, broken promises and angst followed. Messages remained unanswered even though I used multiple platforms.
They have no pride in what they do, or more accurately do not do. They have no customer focus. No communication. And are just awful to deal with. Not once have they expressed any regrets for their shoddy, dishonest and shameful service.
A pity as their meat is very good. I will sadly not be using them again.

placed an order in April totaling £68 with a delivery date the following week. Never delivered and an email received saying they had a problem with the ordering and that I would get a refund within 10 days. No delivery, no refund and they don't reply to any emails that I have sent. Still waiting my refund 3 months later.

Quick update. Things have gone from terrible to what would appear now to be borderline criminal!
My last order was placed on 30th April. It never arrived, no surprise there! The owner, James Morgan promised to sort this order out personally. He didn't, no surprise there either! All communication with Stilton Butchers and Morgan was ignored. Chargeback through my bank was successful.
However, my bank kas informed me today that Stilton Butchers is challenging the drawback, but no reason for this was given. They have 2 months to reply to my bank, by which time Stilton Butchers will hopefully be out of business.
So, I placed an order, which was not delivered. Morgan promised to sort it out, which he didn't. I requested a refund on several occasions but received no response, effectively refusing my request for a refund. Matter taken up by my bank with a successful outcome, and for reasons only known the Morgan, he is challenging the drawback, money which he owes me for an order that he couldn't or wouldn't fulfil. If I'm wrong, James, please drop me a line. You have my email address and phone number. I haven't blocked you, yet!

Ordered in February. Useless service. Luckily my credit card company got my money back from these crooks.

I have waited in all day for a delivery from this company. I placed the order on the 18th July, which was acknowledged; money shows as being taken on the 20th July from my bank, and delivery should have been today. I have tried contacting them as there was no email to say that the order was out for delivery, but the phone number says 'wrong number dialled' even though Stilton Butchers comes up as the recipient! I am still being bombarded with adverts from them, even as I write this review!!

Please do not order with this company.
I placed an order order for over £100.00 to be delivered on June 3rd this year which is my birthday so had arranged a BBQ with my family that day.
Nothing arrived so I constantly rang,emailed , sending messages on WhatsApp but had no response.
The phone number published just says that “you have dialled an incorrect number” so obviously not able to communicate.
I have still continued to try to contact them but not being able to reach them.
I have contacted my bank who have been very helpful in refunding me.
So, to conclude please do not deal with Stilton Butchers as they take your money but won’t deliver or communicate with you.

Still waiting for my order. Sent email on 10th July that it would be delivered on Thursday 16th July. Your phone number no longer works. Lambs and gammon steaks, diced lamb and beef steaks ordered.

Really poor service from start and still no delivery 2 weeks later. Worse than that no communication or response on my request for refund. I know things can go wrong and unforced, like hit weather, but it’s how a company acts to make right and keep you informed. Stilton butchers fall way short on this. I would not organise a bbq expecting a delivery from them beforehand- it probably won’t arrive!

5. No communication (even the advertised contact telephone is false)
6. And no delivery !!

The Owner James Morgan claims to be available on WhatsApp (07777 727397) but never answers (except when it suits him).

Other reviewers say that their suppliers have foreclosed on him. Good. They need to be removed from the scene so they can't scam any more good honest folk,

Delivery deferred from last Friday(too hot) to yesterday. No text from carrier no email from Stilton. Waited on all day, no delivery. Phone number on order doesn't work, email on order doesn't work, had a pop back to use a different email address, but so far no response to that. WILL MY DELIVERY HAPPEN TODAY THE 17TH.???? hopefully. Not very happy. Something happened last time with my order. Carrier 'lost it' apparently, ! Think this might be the last time ordering.
