I recently brought my 2020 Mazda CX-5 to Stressful Auto Care for a major service: a transmission change, oil change, new spark plugs, and new brakes and rotors. I am beyond pleased with the work, the price, and the overall experience.

What truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere and communication. Walking in, I felt like I was entering a doctor’s office—like my car was going into surgery. They provide live updates, pictures, and clear explanations of what’s going on. They even give you care instructions afterward! The team huddles up to discuss my car’s “health,” which is both unique and incredibly reassuring. It’s organized, serious, and meticulous—just like a hospital. I genuinely felt my car was in expert hands.

A huge shoutout to Tyler, who was absolutely great. He’s the reason I went in the first place. On the phone, he was polite, friendly, and gave me a reasonable quote that made me think, “Why not?” As a woman, I’m usually very sketchy about new mechanics and repair shops—worried about being taken advantage of—but after this visit, I felt great about my decision.

Thank you to the whole team for taking your work so seriously and treating customers with such transparency and respect. I’ll definitely be back for all my future auto needs!

I've been going to Stress-Free Auto Care for about 3 1/2 years. They're honest and they give you the truth about what is absolutely necessary and what can wait. The customer service is excellent! Grant always has a big smile when he greats you. They have coffee and snacks if you have to wait. Their prices are fair and reasonable. I really do have less stress taking my car to them because I know I'm in good hands and I can trust them!

A review from before but still applies here! The few times I came back to rotate my tires has been effortlessly easy and smooth. Staff is always kind and super efficient. I did say the pricing was $60 before but I remember now that was because of a special pricing during the holidays back in 2023 lol don’t expect $60 to be the in today’s age or even offer life time rotations. They do offer life time rotations if you purchase tires from them tho, super convenient! Schedule online from their reminder, come into the day and wait or drop off, and within 1-2 hours it’s done. One time I forgot to unlock my car and forgot to give them the key… they tried calling me but I was away from my phone, oops. They were nice about it and said to reschedule, which I did with them that day and that also went smoothly. Super kind and forgiving.

However, the most recent one (like 4 months or so ago) the technician that rotated my tires didn’t have the cover for the seats and having white seats… yah that was horrible :( took me a bit to remove the stain but I did eventually got it removed. It’s okay tho as that was just a one time thing. The other times I rotated they had the seat protectors on. Oh swell. I may remind them next time just to make sure the seat protectors are on. Anyway kind, patient, and an acceptable team. Highly recommend coming here for your for sure “stress free” auto care!

I have taken my car in for a few years here, and I receive kind and honest service everytime!

I’ve been there a couple of times and the staff is very friendly. They keep you informed through out the process so you know what’s going on. If you wait for your vehicle they have snacks, water and coffee for you. I would recommend Stress Free to my friends. Also there prices are very reasonable.

I have been going to Stress Free Auto Care for a few months now and they always work hard to make everything easy and "stress free." Alex and Naomi at the front desk are always friendly and helpful. The mechanic always does an inspection to find things that I might have missed and should get repaired before they become a problem.

I've been a customer at Stress-Free Auto since back in 2000 when it was Bob"s Auto Repair. I really loved Bob's. It was an old-school kind of shop that had the parts on shelves behind the front desk and smelled pleasantly of motor oil and mechanical things. Bob Fox behind the old CRT computer and Sharon in the tiny billing office on the right. He seemed to have the same crew of old guys and a few young ones in the work area for 25 years before and after I came long. So when Stress-Free Auto - gasp! - a CHAIN - took over, I was worried the comfortable old-school vibe of car guys would fade away.

Well. It kind of did, but in a new and improved way! Bob's "office" of parts on shelves is now an entire clean room with sofas, wi-fi, and 2 large screen TVs. The office is now a long counter with flat screen monitors and a chip reader. I can't say enough how happy I am with the tech upgrades! I can text them anytime, and make appointments on the website. All my records are digital. Best of all, it's the same great service and competitive rates. Now that I'm a senior citizen myself, the mechanics all look like babies to me lol. I have an electric car now, in addition to an SUV, and both cars have never needed anything beyond routine maintenance at service intervals. Bob's/Stress-Free Auto keeps everything running in tip-top condition.

I hope Bob is having a fantastic retirement and happy to know the tradition continues.

I have had lots of work done here at the NOPA location which is super convenient, and staffed with knowledgeable staff who are very accommodating. I receive great service only Audi Q3 and know I am in good hands whenever I drop my car off. I had an issue with my check engine light coming on. The Audi dealership was dropping the ball on solving my issue, but the mechanics at this shop were able to resolve the issue effectively and in 3 days. The Audi dealer would have had me wait an additional 4 days, but stree-free handled it by completing the work sooner and with greater efficiency. This is my go-to mechanics, and I greatly appreciate their knowledge and speediness in getting any and all issues resolved with my vehicle. I highly recommend them!

good service

I've had my car serviced twice by Stress Free, I'm used to going to dealerships for service so this was different but in a good way. Staff is friendly and helpful. I like that they provide text updates and links to show you what has been looked or worked on. I'd recommend them, I haven't gone in for anything major yet... just an oil change and an inspection so we'll see moving forward but for now, 10/10

Fast and friendly service, don’t feel like I’m being pressured or lied to. They damaged one of my bolt casing/cap and they replaced them all without missing a beat.

I started bringing my Mini to Stress-Free Auto Care in Mountain View a few years ago after my service package ended at the dealership. Besides their friendly and quick service, I love that they send photos of their inspection. While I don’t know what 99.99% of what the pictures are (haha), this makes me feel like they are upfront and transparent in their findings and recommendations. I recommend this service center to anyone looking for auto care in my area!
