the worst experience, I signed up fro the course and after staring I could tell that this was not for me. It said on their website that you have 2 weeks of refund. When I wanted to refund they told "this is not possible" and I already I used 2000kr for a spanish course that was very bad and not helpful at all online I was not able to attend. They will not give me the money back. Such a horrible experience and waste of time/money. DONT go here!

Unfortunately, there is a high chance they will take your 2,000 kroner. I made it through three modules, and during that time I had four different teachers who mistakenly believed they could accurately assess a group’s progress based on those who speak many languages and/or live with Danish partners, or are native German speakers with perfect English.

The first test is about Duolingo level. The third test, however, seems designed for you to fail over tiny conjunctions (already, although, still, so far, etc.) that are not properly taught in class. But at least you’ll know that you’re supposed to eat fastelavn buns at Carnival.

Another interesting point: while I can read and write at a moderate level, I failed the reading and writing test twice, yet I passed the oral exam even though I don’t speak Danish.

I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. They try to force culture down your throat, as if anyone enrolling to learn this sufficiently strange and not particularly beautiful language must know nothing about Danish culture. The whole thing is an absurd dead end. The only thing it’s good for is taking away the motivation of the few people who are actually willing to learn the language. I’d rather put a hot potato in my mouth — I’d get further that way. And it would be cheaper, too.

If you take an exam (e.g., the citizenship test) at Studieskolen, as I did, you may experience a significant delay in receiving your certificate compared to other language schools across the country. Because of this, I am now forced to apply late, while the Nyidanmark website is completely down (and won't be back up for two weeks).

The attitude of the staff was incredibly entitled and dismissive when I picked up my certificate on December 22nd, 2025. If they do not want to deal with internationals, or if they view foreigners as 'social cases,' they should shut down the school and do themselves, the international community, and the Copenhagen Municipality a favor. In my view, they are an institution that acts like a vampire, feeding off the blood of extreme right-wing Danish immigration policies and, as a result, enjoying a monopoly in the market. It is a real shame, because they used to be such a good school where I had fantastic teachers and very fond memories.

I felt completely discriminated against during the entrance exam to study Danish, and it was not only me, but also my sister. The woman who served us had previously smiled at a Ukrainian couple and later at a woman we were waiting with in the waiting room, who mentioned that she was from Sweden. When it was our turn, her expression completely changed, her attitude was repulsive, and she practically asked me to pronounce only three words before saying that unfortunately we could not be accepted. To my sister, she said just one sentence and rejected her immediately after hearing it. After this nightmarish situation, we both passed PD3 at another Danish school, VSK, where I achieved an average of 10 and my sister received 12. The problem was not us, but her prejudice against certain types of immigrants. Meanwhile, my colleague, who has studied at the Language School, asks me for help in assisting the Danes in the store where we work.

Jeg følte mig fuldstændig diskrimineret under optagelsesprøven for at studere dansk, og det gjaldt ikke kun mig, men også min søster. Den kvinde, der betjente os, smilede tidligere til et ukrainsk par og senere til en kvinde, som vi var i venteværelset sammen med, og som fortalte, at hun kom fra Sverige. Da det blev vores tur, ændrede hendes ansigt helt, hendes attitude var frastødende, og hun bad mig praktisk talt kun om at udtale tre ord og sagde derefter, at vi desværre ikke kunne blive accepteret. Til min søster sagde hun kun en sætning og afviste hende umiddelbart efter at have hørt den. Efter denne mareridtssituation bestod vi begge PD3 på en anden danskskole, VSK, hvor jeg opnåede et gennemsnit på 10, og min søster fik 12. Problemet var ikke os, men hendes fordomme mod bestemte typer af indvandrere. Imens beder min kollega, som har studeret på Sprogskolen, mig om hjælp til at betjene danskerne i butikken, hvor vi arbejder.

Astonishingly bad. Maybe I got 'the one bad apple', but a school is only as good as it's worst teacher. A cartoon evil narcissist with an Olympic level micro aggression game. I was in two classes with only three students, still made to feel unwelcome. Not entirely convinced it wasn't a conceptual art performance piece... avoid Studieskole like the plague!

Inkompetence, rigiditet, manglende information, døv kundeservice... ja, det er kun få af mange negativer, der kan siges om denne institution. Det at man dumper en ETNISK DANSK prøvetager både mundtligt og skriftligt lugter langt væk af forskelsbehandling, især i betragtning af, at vedkommende prøvetager fik literære udmærkelser på den DANSKE privatskole denne frekventerede. Både lærer og censor har åbenbart ingen forståelse for normal praksis ved eksaminer, deriblandt at man optager mundtlige eksaminer. Ved den skriftlige manglede information og måden opgaven skulle udføres på kunne misforstås. Det er dybt beklageligt at Studieskolen er det eneste alternativ, hvis man har brug for en dansk eksamen til at søge på KU. Så til jer håbefulde fremtidige universitetsstuderende med en udenlandsk eksamen, der vil studere på dansk i Danmark... studér et andet sted i Europa.

I have completed several Danish courses with them, taught by different teachers. Unfortunately, they were all very disappointing. The classes are focused on advanced students (those who have lived in Denmark for many years, Swedish/Norwegian immigrants, and other "easier" students from the teacher's perspective), while the rest are clearly discriminated against. Most of the time, the classes are based on "self-learning." They place you in a small group with other non-Danish-speaking students and say, "Now speak Danish." The level gap between subsequent courses makes no sense. You can successfully finish a course, only to be kicked out of the next one for not being up to the level right from the start. They justify their lazy and passive aggressive attitude saying that the course is free, but we all pay it from our taxes. Avoid, try UCplus or something else.

AVOID STUDIESKOLEN AT ALL COST!!! THIS IS THE WORST SCHOOL EVER EXISTED IN THE HISTORY OF DENMARK!!! They are so incompetent at answering a complaint. They are so biased with the exams and they can't justify why students get unfair grades. This is the most HORRIBLE language school ever!!!

Klasserne er for store. Lige startet på et nyt kursus med 24 elever. Meget svært at lære.

They have good teachers and i wrote my pd3 as self student here and its worth it.

After teaching myself Danish for several years, I decided to enroll in a course to prepare for the required national test (PD3). I was evaluated and suggested to join Module 4. However, upon joining, both teachers and fellow students expressed surprise that I was in the class and that the placement seemed very off / I was further in my Danish studies than the Module 4 cohort. Studieskolen seems focused primarily on how much money they can get from the municipality for forcing people through classes they don't need than the actual learning and advancement of their students.

Af personlige årsager har jeg kun haft mulighed for at deltage meget få gange på det sprogkursus, jeg havde tilmeldt mig. Jeg spurgte kundeservice, om det var muligt at hoppe fra dette semester og så starte næste semester i stedet, nu jeg havde betalt for hele kurset, men næsten ikke deltaget.
Jeg blev mødt med absolut ingen fleksibilitet, og der blev bare henvist til reglerne om, at afmelding skal ske 7 dage før kursusstart. Det er virkelig dårlig kundeservice, og når jeg skal genoptage sprogkurset bliver det ikke på Studieskolen.

They do not treat students well, thinking as they do privilege being a school.
I have registered for an Online English course 1 month before the course start. But a few days before the start I received an email from the teacher, that there're not enough people registered yet, so they will postpone the course for another 3 weeks. So, a week before the new start I decided to call them to make sure we're going to start. The teacher replied that we will probably not. So, as a result of 2 months of a delay to start a course or to find another one.

Studieskolen, you're in the stone age. This is NOT how it should be communicated!
Hope you all will be fired and then start thinking about how to interact new students :(

I participated in four Danish courses so far and I'm very happy about them. Very nice and competent teachers!

I totally DO NOT RECOMMEND this school.
I have taken a test and based on the results they recommended me a course.
After the first lesson I realized that the course it’s too advanced for my level and I have asked for a refund.
They said that they do not refund after the the course started. They refund less 100 kr only 1 week before course start. Ok.
But how someone could know if a course is appropriate for them before?
I asked for a refund after only 1 lesson of 12, not after I have finished it.
Since the course it’s not useful for me I will not enroll anymore in the course and they just scammed me for 1250kr.

Jeg skulle have et intensivkursus i arabisk over sommeren, hvilket jeg havde glædet mig rigtig meget til. Under en uge inden kursets begyndelse, blev det aflyst. Til kurset havde jeg købt en e-bog, som det stod i instruktionerne. Derfor spurgte jeg, om jeg kunne få kompensation for pengene for den e-bog, jeg havde købt til kurset, da det netop er på grund af kurset, at jeg har købt e-bogen. Det kunne jeg ikke.
Det er i sig selv rigtig ærgerligt, at Studieskolen aflyser et kursus så kort tid inden dets start. Studieskolen kunne have gjort kursisterne opmærksomme på, at kurset muligvis ville blive aflyst, og at man derfor skulle vente med at købe e-bogen. Det har man valgt ikke at gøre. I stedet valgte man at annoncere, at kurset var aflyst, til under en uge til kurset, hvor det kun kan forventes, at kursisterne har købt bøger til kurset. Derfor er det rigtigt ærgerligt og uheldigt, at Studieskolen ikke vil kompensere for materialer til deres sent aflyste kurser.

Grundet helbredsproblemer måtte jeg aflyse et halvt kursus – og mødte en uforståelig kundeservice vedr. dette.

For det første blev der gjort grin med en operation over telefonen og på meget grov vis henvist til at jeg jo havde betalt og bare måtte booke noget nyt. Der er 0 fleksibilitet og derudover en utrolig ubehøvlet kundeservice.
De sammenligende sig selv med at man jo heller ik kunne være fleksibel vedr. en halv biografbillet.

Jeg kan godt forstå biografbilletter ik har fleksibilitet men jeg giver heller ik flere tusinde kr. for dem. Meget skuffende kundeservice i år 2018 – uanset hvad deres betingelser siger.

Derudover har kurset ingen grad af eksamen eller andet som kan drive en til at lære mere og i højere grad – ift. hvad udlændinge der får gratis kurser får. Det er ekstremt afslappet ift. prisen.

På baggrund af dette må jeg prøve andre steder og se om det er det generelle synspunkt for sprogkurser. Jeg deltag i Fransk undervisning.

I have been studying danish there for about four months, we have a great teacher, who is one of the co authors of the book we are following. Teacher is passionate about his job and keeps us motivated and learning in an effortless seeming manner! Strict about our homework, very clear guidelines about what to study and how to do it. the environment is very nice, danes learning foreign languages and foreigners learning danish. In addition the location is very central. I would definitely recommend this school for anybody serious on learning danish.
