When you’re with Dave everything and anything feels possible and just within touching distance. His passion for learning and seeing others grow is incredible along with his positive mindset which is always on show and brightens up any room.

My biggest take away from time with Dave was how to better communicate with others. Whether it’s planning for the future, setting goals, fact finding, closing, personal development, influencing, educating, signposting, framing, increasing conversion, maximising opportunities. The fundamentals to success in any of these areas is how you communicate and the questions we ask of ourselves and others.

I recently attended David Thomson's training course with the Suada methods of persuasion. This happened during the covid lockdown, Which presented my company and staff the opportunity of a massive change of how we operate in business. After many years in sales I was pretty confident that there was not much more I could learn to enhance my skills. However, to my surprise I truly gained more than I expected. I received training from David which was an eye opening experience that led me to become a better sales person. I really appreciated the repetition of the training that enabled me to learn the principles that eventually became second nature. In addition, I was able to implement what I learnt immediately.

I was a little nervous when I went for the training as it had been so long since I had been to such a thing. There was no need to be as David really looked after us all. There was no cliched ice breakers or anything like that, we were straight into some fantastic value.

David has a fantastic, conversational, easy style which I found to be really easy to work with and learn from. I didn't feel there was any filler or that the time was dragging. There was no after lunch "lull" or wind down towards finish time. We were getting full-on training for the whole time.

I left the course on a bit of a "high" and after a few days, when the dust settled, I wrote to David to tell him so. He was extremely gracious and has answered every email I have sent him since.

When I went to see David my new business was only a few months old. The first thing I got started on doing was amending our sales procedures and it has worked a treat. Our target sales for Year 1 was £1m, and we achieved that in only 2 months!

There are too many things that struck me on the course to go through all of them, but one of the things which comes quickly to mind is the whole concept of "pre-suasion", something which I knew nothing about until David introduced me to it.
