I ordered a bathroom counter from this…

I ordered a bathroom counter from this company on 27th August which arrived very promptly but when I took it out of the box it was damaged which I let them know about very quickly. I originally wanted a replacement but after waiting for that and querying why it hadn't arrived I was then informed that a replacement could not be provided without first retuning the damaged item at this time I decided that I wanted a refund as I could tell this was not an easy company to deal with. So 32 emails and months later the courier still hasn't arrived the last appointment for a courier to come was yesterday I was in the house all day and as usual they never arrived I have offered to leave the product somewhere but no response to that and they say no refund until the product is returned I am at a loss here as to what to do it's been 3 months

This part of the review is a reply to the response from Suave Home. Their response is totally disingenuous as they make it seem like its easy to get the item collected which it certainly is not. The first time the courier did not show but as per instructed I had been in the house all day between 8am and 5pm the next time they say there was nothing available to collect I have no idea what this even mean they then wanted me to reschedule for the 15th of October which I could not a I was yet again supposed to stay in the house between 8am till 5pm a unbelievably the courier is unable to ring the customer in advance to indicate a time I then heard nothing for weeks so I got in touch again in November and the courier was scheduled for the 28th Nov between 8am till 5pm as I was home from work sick I agreed but yet again no courier showed all of this would lead me to believe they don't want to collect the damaged item as they don't want to refund the money

However, we feel that this review is not genuine based on the experience of what occurred.

We've scheduled several collections, the first the courier missed, which we've apologised for on their behalf. Unfortunately we could not have controlled that situation.

Upon checking the second return appointment created for October 15, the system shows that the carrier couldn’t collect the parcel because there was nothing available for pickup at the location.

We then attempted to re-schedule several appointments, however due to your unavailability this could not be done. Nevertheless, we're still happy to work with you to find a day/time that would suit you for the collection for return for refund of the item.

Please do liaise with out customer support team on re-scheduling the appointment and we'll do our best on our side to ensure the return is done as soon as possible.

follow up on my experience

This review is to follow on from an earlier review where i gave 1 star.

I bought products from the company and was very dissatisfied.

Up until the time the products arrived at my home the communication was very good.

When I got back in touch to let them know I was dissatisfied and wanted a refund, I got no response.

I tested their communication by emailing a query about a purchase from a different address and heard back in minutes.

The company responded to me after I posted a poor review here.

From that point, communication went back to its original pattern, quick responses and informative.

I returned my purchases, two parcels, I was refunded for 1.

So I had to engage them again. However this time the response was timely and so was the refund.

I would have preferred to know the brand of my purchaces upfront.
Even Harvey Norman tells you when theyre selling VidalX products.

Overall no harm as I got my refund but I cant recommend the company as the product quality I received was not good enough.

Avoid them

Bought a raised bed, received defective item.
Promised a collection of item on 10th of September after numerous email exchange with Amanda.

No one showed up again back and forward on email. Amanda arranged a pick up for the 15th of September.

Item collected. Since then still waiting for my refund.
No respond to my emails

Avoid buying off them.

Resellers for Vidxl. Go to the the original and save.

Wanted a bookcase. Searched the internet. Saw one I liked on Suave (€260.99) and another on Vidaxl (€189.99). Looked up vidaxl reviews of the bookcase and they were not as good as I wanted. There were no reviews on the Suave site of the bookcase. Decided to go with Suave as it was an Irish company and I erroneously assumed the extra cost meant the bookcase would be Irish too. Suave answered emails promptly and helpfully. Bookcase however was the one from vidaxl and arrived in vidaxl.com box direct from vidxl. Suave are resellers. An expensive lesson.

Avoid. VidaXL Reseller. Poor Quality (Well Photographed) Furniture

Ordered a coffee table, took just over a week to arrive (outside of their 2-7 day promise). When it did arrive, the top panel was badly damaged. A replacement panel was eventually arranged and arrived (this took 3 weeks). The replacement panel was also damaged.

Suave offered to either try again with another replacement (and deal with having to dispose of this endless cycle of top panels) or a 20% refund. As of yet I have not received the refund/confirmation that the refund has been/will be processed - although even if this does arrive I don't feel that 20% is a fair resolution.

They charged 149.99 for the table and 10 for delivery. It's 103 on vidaXL, with free delivery. It arrived in a vidaXL box. They're just dropshipping poor quality furniture from vidaXL (and adding a shipping charge) with well staged photos and slow customer service.

Even with the 20% refund (if that ever arrives) it would have been cheaper to deal with vidaXL directly. Nowhere on the site is it mentioned that you're really just buying vidaXL furniture with a huge markup. (Not that we would have ordered this table if we knew it was just vidaXL in the first place).

Support agents have been friendly to deal with but responses are slow and resolutions (so far) unsatisfactory. Would strongly advise avoiding this company. If you're happy with the furniture you can save 30 - 50%+ by going to vidaXL directly.

Edit: Copy/Paste response from Suave. Still no refund (or confirmation of refund) received.

Yes, you offered two solutions, I accepted one and have received no communication (or refund) since. Accepting your solution does not automatically make this a positive experience.

Your reviews have taken a turn in recent months, if many of these reviews had been present when I placed the order I would not have gone ahead.

Advertising your '4.9' rating is a blatant lie - your average is now 2.8.

It is unreasonable to compare yourself to Amazon/any company that discloses the manufacturer of a product. You use deceptive photography and intentionally obfuscate product details to prevent your customer from identifying the manufacturer.

As you've described, we offered many solutions to resolve your issue. We like to work with our customers on several possibilities for issues that occur.

As you can see per our positive/negative review ratio, in over 85% of cases our customers are happy, co-operate on a discount, full replacement, part replacement etc.

Moreover, as mentioned on our website (which we expect all customers to read), we're a retailer that stocks various brands. Similar to other retailers, prices vary. Moreover just like purchasing a TV, you have an option to purchase directly from the manufacture or via a third party like Amazon which all would vary in pricing.

Excellent Customer Service.

I ordered a bathroom cabinet, when it arrived the quality was very poor. I contacted Suave Home and Amanda was very helpful, lots of communication and a good resolution.

Faulty product and delays in getting refund

I purchased a log store from Suave home in March 2025 which arrived quickly. When I tried to construct the log store it became apparent that the wrong parts were in the box. I contacted suave via WhatsApp chat, as suggested and Emma responded and issued another item. Unfortunately the second log store was also faulty (wrong parts in the box for the item to be put together properly).

Due to this I wanted a refund.
It took a lot of emails and WhatsApp messages to request a refund, with Emma claiming that they couldn’t get hold of a courier to collect the log stores which felt like an excuse to stall issuing me a a full refund

I subsequently left a review, frustrated with my experience only to be quickly Emailed by Emma and offered a full refund in exchange of removing my original review.

I wouldn’t recommend using this website and have wasted 3 months with no log store plus inconvenienced by having to go to the local recycling centre to dispose of the faulty products

Thank you for your review, however it is disingenuous to provide this type of feedback after our support team went over the top to try and resolve your matter. We will clarify below.

1. Your order was placed on 25th March which arrived quickly as you mentioned. After some days you reached out regarding the assembly issue you were having which we replied to within 24 hours. We arranged a replacement and your issue persisted so we then refunded you 1 week ago. This timeline does not equal to 3 months, and I hope this clarifies. It is suggested when shopping online to plan for potential risks that can occur with any retailer, such as missing pieces, delivery delays, replacements, items damaged in transit etc.

2. There was no "stall" in issuing your refund, we suggested to arrange the courier, after receiving a negative review prior to providing us with the chance to organise the courier, we decided to proceed with the refund immediately.

3. After receiving the negative feedback, we did indeed reach out to check what the issue was, again as previously mentioned above, we found out that you were not willing to wait for the courier pick up. With that said, no worries we wanted to resolve your issue promptly and proceeded with the immediate refund. We then asked that your review reflect the true sequence of events. Since this was not actioned, it was necessary to provide clarification for this situation.

Foldable Party Tent with 3 sidewalls…

Brought a Foldable Party Tent with 3 sidewalls, the instructions on how to put it up were very unclear, but after looking it up on the internet did get it up easy enough. The 3 sidewalls are made of an inferior materials and not the same as the canopy and do not fit as shown in the picture. The ties on the fabric will no doubt come off after a while and rip the material. Overall disappointed with the quality of sidewalls but the rest of it is made to a very good standard.

Outdoor umbrella

The outdoor umbrella I purchased snapped in a gust of wind (the adjustable pivot is definitely a weak point) but Emma and the team at Suave went out of their way to find a solution. In a very short time I received all the replacement parts (basically a new umbrella).

Wish I could give 0 Stars! AVOID!!!!

Well well well. If only I had read the reviews on here before hand! Simple story - bought a product (Hall Stand) That arrived faulty and damaged. Pretty worrying to me that a brand new product not only had dings and bangs on it, but the edges of the cheap laminate were also peeling off in multiple places.

I took pictures, sent them via email and asked for a refund within the 48 hours they ask for this to happen. They responded and apologised for the faulty item. I was told I DID NOT need to return the item (must be high quality!) And they would send a replacement. However, I don't want a replacement, as per Consumer Act 2015, Id like a refund, to which I am entitled.

I asked twice for the refund, but was offered a 10% discount on a replacement, which they were clearly being told to push very hard.

I asked a THIRD time for a refund and 'Emma' is now telling me that in 'their' returns policy (which violates the consumer act btw) the faulty and damaged item they are classing as 'unwanted' (because I don't want their replacement) So I can get a refund... but I need to pay for the courier to pick it up.

It's not the law, and having spoken to Citizens Advice to confirm this, I am now in the process of taking it to trading standards. By the look of MANY reviews on here, it's not the first time they have tried this on.

Why on earth a company would go THIS hard over a faulty product (that they were happy for me to literally dispose of btw!) is beyond me. Talk about missed customer service opportunity?!

Terrible Customer Service

Ordered a single bed frame. The wood was clearly stored in damp conditions and is not usable without treatment!

Reached out to "Emma" via the whatsapp customer service. Was ignored for over a week until i raised a paypal dispute.

Got a reply to my whatsapp within minutes of raising claim. "Emma" offered me a 50% refund so i can buy wood treatment. "Emma" asked me to close dispute so they could refund me.

Since then have not heard anything. Terrible customer service and product if i'm honest.

Avoid Suave.

My husband bought the wrong size table…

My husband bought the wrong size table top and it turns out they don’t do the actual size we need. Fortunately, Emma was there to help us and was able to organise a full refund with no fuss. I’d like to thank her for her help and would definitely recommend Sauve Home to my friends.

Bad Company

If I had an option I would choose zero stars for this company. I ordered one shower bench, they sent two. On receipt they look like match wood, i.e. nothing like the photos of the product online. I have contacted Suave Homes, via a ping-pong of e-mails in an attempt to return the items and obtain a refund, to no avail. I am now going to Trading Standards in an attempt to get my money back. There are no clear instructions on returning the items, which is seriously worrying. DO NOT BUY FROM SUAVE HOMES UK.

White Record Cabinet…

We bought the White Record Cabinet 84.5x38x89. Assembly instructions were woeful and confusing. Material very weak. Spent 6 hours trying to assemble it and now is just for the bin. Very dissapointed.

Absolutely first rate service one of the the items I orderd was unfortunately out of stock , I was e.mailed with an alternative , I wattsapt saying I would accept this but was owed a credit, I mentioned I would like to add a item to the order that was dearer they waived the extra cost 😀

Terrible quality_avoid

Ordered 30cm round black mirror from here, the quality is awful-frame does not meet there is a very visible gap, the mirror itself is simply hot glued to the frame but even that wasn't secure the whole mirror fell out! The bracket to hang was hot glued to the mirror wonky and uneven. Terrible product, cant believe they even bothered sending it! Save your money and buy elsewhere.
