Horrible customer service. They’ve enforced verification with no way around it or responsive customer service. And all this happens after you’ve paid of course ! It’s a money trap .. if you pay for a month and spend that month chasing non existent customer service instead of sugar babies.

i have used many different sugar dating apps in asia and this one is the best. many legit dating profiles and manage to go out with some. theres always some bad dates but most of them are pretty positive.

I have tried repeatedly to cancel my subscription, without success. The fact that you are unable to easily cancel your subscription on the app is ridiculous. I have emailed Support at least 4-5 times , without a response. If I do not receive a reply in the next 24 hours, I will commence legal action and report the site to consumer protection.

So where to start.

Firstly I thought I would try this site and give it benefit of the doubt from all negative reviews/ experiences people have had but I have to sadly agree with some of the issues raised by others.

Let me start I’m coming in from a LGBT perspective and it might be different for a heterosexual person but for me I found this site lacklustre and dead.

For a start when you join the site keeps advertising the premium feature but there’s nothing premium about it really. I joined the premium thinking I can subscribe for one month but there is no cancel option. Also I joined this when there was a promotional offer on the site where it was a discounted rate and it still charged me the full price which was misleading.

On their FAQ it mentions to cancel the renewing subscription you have to contact customer service which I have done twice at a week a part and I have just been ghosted by a non existent customer support.

So I may have to cancel my bank card to avoid another charge and I may make a complaint about this about how hard it is to cancel a subscription with no actual button or functionality of canceling the subscription on the website.

Next on the site itself the premium function should allow the users to search the whole dating pool of people on the site however I found I keep getting the same 30 people and nothing else, I’ve tried different filters and search parameters and it keeps showing the same people and it keeps boasting about there’s 4 million users on the site. Which I feel is a white lie because I don’t see any new people on my searches other than the same old 30 people. Might be because it’s an LGBT perspective but that’s what I have experienced so far.

Also some of the functions of a premium user are totally pointless. When you register you are asked to put a blurb about yourself so others can read it. Only premium members can see that blurb if the other user is also a premium member which is a pointless feature. It should really allow the premium user to be able to see anyone’s about me section.

Anyways, I will keep sending my emails to customer service to contact to cancel my subscription but I warn others not to pay for the premium as it isn’t worth the money or hassle. Ultimately this site feels like a cash grab scam so I warn others to use with caution and to just avoid using this website.

Sugarbook suspended my account without giving me any information about how i broke the terms and conditions on the website. and does nothing to help my account as well.

I created account yesterday trying to face verify since yesterday it rejecting everytime error fix your problem unable to use my account this is bad experience I emailed twice no response from your support no one helping I tried 10 times still error I am.in good light clear face still your problem error can someone help me to verify my face?

Where do I start? How about the good things? On the second note, no. But why? Sugarbook is so foreign that I do not recognize it anymore and the only reason I don't give it 1 star is due to the good memories I had in the past with Sugarbook. Now lets just talk about the present:

Scammers
The number of scammers making a living here is just disgusting. Notice how I use the word making a living? I notice it has always been the same individual creating burner account after burner account. They always insist on payment first before meet or give all sorts of excuse, it has always consistently been the same person. The one I encounter frequently is Angel Lyen Duasi, how do I know its her, can crosscheck her bank account she frequently give across all her burner account. I've no idea what's been done to curb her activity.

Failure of profile verification
Continuing from the above, what’s even more scary? Her profile is verified and Sugarbook intend to use verified profile to give user confidence when using Sugarbook, but no, profile verification is a massive failure. What in the world is this failure?
I have resubbed premium, I tried to verify but unable to, hence I tried to contact the support team, I have not been able to use Sugarbook until I am verified but I do not see your support team replying to my email.

Support
Continuation from the above, I don’t even know if your support team exist? Or are they busy scrolling through tik tok and rotting their brain or whatever that’s left of it? Or are your support team working with scammers? I’ve no idea, why you keep people like this on your payroll. A word of advice? Micromanage if you have to..

Streaming
Oh! It is streaming now? Streaming and Sugardating? I can never make a sentence with those 2 words together, oh wait I just did, but it does not go along well. What happened to discreet dating? What happened? Sugarbook is no different than Bigo or God knows whatever streaming services out there. Maybe you, yes you, admin slash founder slash whomever forgot that most are here not for the bullshit of streaming but just pure sugar dating experience.

Clunky app & lagging on web browser
Don’t even get me started on this, what in the hell is wrong with you guys? Ever heard of the phrase, if it is not broken do not fix it? The older web browsing & app browsing was so simple yet smooth but ultimately, serves its purpose, what have you descend into? In the name of update and bringing something new to users, the website has gone to the dogs. I cannot scroll more than 3 pages of profiles down before it lags, this is even worst on web browser, I cannot even open more than 2 tabs before it lags. Seriously? Do you have society rejects as your staff?

Lastly, please don’t bother to reply this review with your auto generated response. If I have to sum my experience, I placed no expectations but God, did you reach a new low, you made me disappointed.

The moment I signed up for Premium, I got a few people reaching out to me. I thought they were bots, but they're not. They're genuine ladies wanting to know me.

I'm giving it 4 stars, just because the email notifications are a bit too much. Apart from that, it gives me what I'm looking for.

After 2 months of chatting, I finally met a girl. She's supportive.

I have used the app for almost a year. The sign up flow might be tedious but it asked relevant questions that might help you match with another person. The verification is very strict, but I guess it’s common to weed out scammers.

Mostly used the live and private call feature. Live has lots of events to keep it entertaining, especially during big events like PK, streamers will be competing for the prize.

Private call on the other hand can be a surprise. Sometimes the person on the other end might not look like what the profile picture suggests. But it’s still fun talking to other girls and enjoying some company.

Paid for premium services and was happily chatting away until I was told that I need.to verify my account. Tried over 50 times but verification still failed. Not sure what's wrong.

Asked for help via support for more than 2 weeks but no response/follow-up. Customer Support is almost non-existent.

Extremely frustrating as a paying user but unable to use the services!

A college friend told me about this app where you can meet generous daddies. I thought it would be full of scammers at first. But after a month, I found really kind daddies who can help out financially, and you can even make money streaming. Definitely recommend for anyone needing some extra support!
One last things....sometimes the site gets a little laggy. Hope this can be fixed soon

I joined Sugarbook honestly just out of curiosity because my college girlfriends would not stop talking about it. The signup process was a bit long — verify this, upload that — but once my profile went live, my inbox literally blew up. I was not expecting that many views and DMs at all lol.

Not gonna lie, some of the messages were… way too explicit. Like sir, please calm down 😭. Those got an immediate block because no thank you. But mixed in with all that, there are some genuinely sweet and respectful guys. You just have to filter and take your time.

I’ve gone on a few dates after chatting for a bit (always in public places because safety is top priority). Some dates were surprisingly wholesome and fun, and some were kinda meh, but nothing sketchy or uncomfortable. I still keep in touch with a couple of the ones who had good vibes — companionship can feel really nice when it’s mutual and not forced.

My LGBTQ friend recommended this app to me. I did try out and met a couple of PLU. It feels like a safe space to connect but after a while, it started feeling a bit quiet, many profiles are not active and not much conversation going on. I've been with these platform for a bit now and haven't really had any problems. Whenever I've messaged them, they usually get back to me fast, which is nice because nobody likes waiting around.

The platform made me sign up for premium a few months ago to access all the messages. Altho some are spams, but there are a few accounts there that genuine people looking for arrangements.
