I signed up on SuperAnnotate and completed the “Image Ranking Vetting” tasks for free as a trial. I even received confirmation that my work was accepted. Shortly after, G.I., Talent Recruiter @ Lilt, contacted me via email about an “urgent” Video Annotation Project and asked about my availability. It sounded like the project would start immediately, so I created a Tipalti account as requested and even turned down other potential paid opportunities.

Before the project started, they asked me to complete additional “Image Ranking Vetting” tasks — again unpaid — which I did in good faith, expecting to begin the paid project soon.

However, when I followed up about the start date, M.A., Talent Manager | Lilt, informed me that the project had already been completed and closed. I received an apology for the inconvenience and a note saying they might contact me if another opportunity comes up. That never happened.

This experience was extremely disappointing. While the platform I signed up for was SuperAnnotate, all communication was handled via Lilt, which made the process confusing and ultimately frustrating. I invested time, completed unpaid tasks, and made decisions based on their communication — only to be left with nothing. It felt misleading and unprofessional.

The onboarding process was structured. The training materials were helpful, and it took me about 30min to feel comfortable with the platform.
In terms of tasks, I found that projects depended on availability. The pay structure is clear, and payments were on time.
What I appreciated most was specific detail — communication, UI, flexibility, etc.

I applied with SuperAnnotate for a project that required utilizing Excel for AI model training.

The 30 minute time-limited Excel assessment test had numerous questions, I was asked to select the correct formula that related to a specific scenario. Switching tabs to lookup answers was not allowed or else. But that didn’t make sense as someone could easily use a second device to search the web to get the answers which most definitely warps the entire assessment process. Maybe using another device was the purpose of the test. I dunno!

I've modeled data for many years and I never had to memorize all 300+ formulas in Excel. And the formula parameters pop right up as you type so there's no need to remember all of the elements of the formula either. To expect me to do a job without checking my answers was dumb, for sure. Instead, most people, like me, use a wealth of resources to ensure we get it right. So I'm always studying and searching the web for answers.

Without a doubt, that assessment test doesn't prove anything. In fact, I recently worked with a guy who had an eidetic memory and numerous certifications. But in his own words--he didn’t necessarily understand the logic underlying the requirements just because he passed a test.

Perhaps Superannotate could use AI to implement a better solution as certainly that’s an excellent use of the technology. Otherwise, that test is a joke.

Pay attention, didn’t pay and didn’t responde. They have announce also on opentrain.ai, where he display as” anonymous”. The price/h is fake and they are not clear on the job. They actually have two scam job ad:

The people here are awesome - both the SuperAnnotate team and the high-quality colleagues I worked with here.

This was my first time working with this team, and despite some early snags (it's difficult to manage almost 100 global & remote personnel at a time), the SuperAnnotate team pulled through.

The SA platform is really easy to use, which is a welcome bonus, making our work much easier and more efficient.

SuperAnnotate is a great company. The work has been pretty steady, and the leaders are excellent.

I have participated in several of SuperAnnotate's projects, and I found the platform for this data training task to be convenient, flexible, and easy to use. The platform is straightforward and neatly organized. Initially, I was concerned about not being familiar with how to use it, but following the provided guide made it very manageable, and I was soon able to use the platform proficiently.
As a project contributor, it was easy to understand the overall workflow, as I could clearly see how the tasks generated or reviewed within the platform were managed, corrected, and evaluated. This transparency made the entire process much simpler.

The platform is easy to use and manage while working!

I worked for this company for two weeks. They always said the payment due the last week of the month, but they paid only a fraction of it. I wrote them, but they simply never answer. Such disrespect for contractors' work in not acceptable. Money is the base of all negociation and they didn't keep their word when it came to it. Think twice before working with them.

Not a good experience with this company~
Supperannotate are recruiting lots of data labelers to work for them, and will ask labelers to go through lots of interview questions which take lots of time to complete. However, after completing all the interview questions and waiting for several days, I did not hear back from them, and when I wrote back to them to check the results, they simply just said "You didn't pass the writing test so we're not considering your application". Really upset about the results.

We needed an experienced team with great software to help us develop a new pose detection algorithm. We needed to find the right model for our project which required experimentation and iteration with the annotation team. The Superannotate team has the right team at the right price. Their software, customer support and annotators did a great job of executing on our model.

Extremely helpful and convenient
was looking for a tool to annotate documents for my master-thesis - found this via open-cv. good examples, easy to learn, and covers all my use-cases (separate folders for separate documents for instance). the webservice is top-notch, uploads work fast, and the entire project can be stored in one place and accessed from anywhere. Since i reached the limit for the free version, i reached out to the team, which got back to me instantly and gave me an appointment on the following day. the staff is very friendly, understanding and supportive! now i can conduct my research exactly the way i need - big thanks and a clear recommendation for anyone with a use case :)

For us as an ML first company, labeling quality has always been a top priority. So, while we were looking for potential annotation partners, SuperAnnotate stood out by being extremely supportive in setting up the pilot project in a speedy manner, so that we could assess labeling quality and velocity. Furthermore, they proactively onboarded us to their platform and are still very supportive as our projects are ongoing.

Comparing to other companies we have worked with in the past, SA is the winner. Their platform offers an exceptional user experience that is well thought through, super easy to use, and also allows us to easily set up labeling and QA workflows such that our in-house QA team is seamlessly integrated into the process.

This annotation platform is so much trustworthy for development of computer vision on the edge tasks.
Actually I'm working on deploying a detection model on the LUXONIS OAK-D, and has been a magnificent tool.

SA is easy to use, works intuititively and the support is amazing. Have been using it for nearly a year now and the platform keeps on improving. Can definitely recommend!

Superannotate was essential for one of my projects and I received immediate and free assistance! Great experience.

SuperAnnotate is an awesome tool for the researchers/students who are working with the dataset preparation for computer vision related applications such as environment perception including object detection and semantic segmentation.
It helped me a lot in my Masters' thesis.

I tried a few of the annotation platforms, but SuperAnnotate seems to be one of the fastest. It takes much less time to load datasets. It also is a good example of an organized annotation platform. The UI is a familiar one - reminiscent of Photoshop and is easy to use. The tools are easy to locate and operate with. Since it offers both vector and pixel-based editors a lot of projects are covered by this platform. In short, SuperAnnotate provides a fast, easy and reliable experience while annotating. I also love the fact that SuperAnnotate pushes regular updates and their technical support is spontaneous. We had an issue with loading times on a project where a single image had 600-700 instances on average. This slowed the platform down to the point that it was not feasible to work anymore. We raised the issue with the technical team and they solved this rather complex development challenge in a span of a week!

Some of the drawbacks of using SuperAnnotate would be the fact that they do not offer point cloud and the video annotation tooling they offer can be improved to compete with other industry players. I assume they are progressing on these kinds of annotations.

I have had the opportunity to work on the platform for 4 months and have seen first-hand how intently they respond to our feedback and provide updates that boost efficiency even further. Few features in SuperAnnotate are just a lifesaver for annotators. It provides a great deal of editing capability on existing annotated images. This has been crucial in some of the work we have performed using this platform. Also with great ease of use coming from features like auto-segmentation and the superb project-based analytics generated to keep the management side organized, it’s almost impossible not to recommend SuperAnnotate.

I have found this one of the only platforms to use Neural Network training, Quality Control, and AI-Augmentation. I hope to explore more of these features further for research purposes and project requirements.
