I love the Superkop and use it at home and in my campervan on the go when we travel. My previous expensive, high maintenance espressomachine made space for this beauty in bright red. Love it in every way possible.

The superkop makes great espresso, looks nice, and I'm hoping the design will hold up for a long time.
Upon purchasing, I almost immediately had to redo the varnish on the wood and raise the height a bit with washers; the company suggested these fixes for the humid environment that was causing mold and said that future models may have them already. Disappointing to have to do that. Otherwise it's a great experience and making really quality espresso. Dailing in is a bit weird because there is no time component, the espresso just flows as fast as you pull the lever. So dailing in is just a bit of a guessing game. But again, the output has been great, and it's fun.

Ik heb de Superkop nu ruim een jaar in gebruik en ben heel erg tevreden over het apparaat. Als gevolg van elektrolyse liet alleen de rode coating los. Na melding ontving ik een nieuw exemplaar, die ik zojuist geleverd kreeg. Fijn product van een fijn bedrijf is bijzondere combi.

Now a few months in the house. Took a bit more time to test, but the result is there. Nice crema (also due to the quality of the bean) and I bought the Essy Naked portafilter to get a bit more crema + the espresso is just a bit warmer.
Preheating the cup with hot water is recommended, but preheating the water reservoir on the portafilter is not necessary in my opinion. I still play with the flow time. Approx. 5 seconds with the lever, x6 of course.
Satisfied with this device. Despite it being a bit big on the counter, you are not dependent on electricity, heating time and the material is very solid and of high quality.
I do not use 1 cups. Changed the container once, but I did not like that because the container could no longer be properly secured and falls out when knocking in the knockbox.

Fast outreach, solid advice, and parts shipped and delivered the next day, caffeine downtime was limited to only 2 days.

I'm new to the espresso world but I really enjoy this machine. It's built like a tank, reasonably priced for something which should last a long time (no lime-scale build-up etc), practically no maintenance other than perhaps that rubber gasket occasionally, and I love that you don't need to preheat anything.

Super Idee und tolles Design treffen auf manuelle Arbeit. Es braucht keinen Strom und keine großen Kräfte, um guten Kaffee zu erzeugen. Die Zubereitung ist einfach und der Kaffee schmeckt so gut, wie die Bohnen die man kauft.

I have a Superkop and an automatic coffee machine. Nowadays I almost always use the Superkop, even for a delicious cappuccino in the hectic early mornings. The taste is really much better and if you organize the making, a Superkop is as fast as an automatic coffee machine.

Bij het zetten van een heerlijke espresso bleef er water achter in het reservoir. Contact gezocht met Klaas Fokkema, Chief Espresso Officer bij Superkop. Direct contact en na vragen en antwoorden snel tot een oplossing gekomen. Fijn om te merken dat het nu ook nog zo kan!

The delivered machine had several defects and could not be operated. Of course the support responded immediately but could not solve the problem. They send a second machine, which could not be delivered, because the delivery service (UPS) demanded customs duty. I am still convinced by the concept of the Superkop, but anyhow - I will probably never be able to test the machine :-(

I have been sat on the fence for the last 5-8 month’s wondering if I should pull the trigger on this Machine. As this is a big purchase for me. Now that I finally have I can say with total honesty this is the best coffee related product purchase I have ever made. A word has not yet been invented that can fully describe just how happy I am.
The quality of the engineering in this piece is definitely there, once you have this in your hands you can feel it. It looks amazing, so much better than I was expecting. So good even just to look at.
I had been researching for some time studying different types of Manual espresso makers I looked at them all. I felt that manual espresso making was the way I wanted to go.
To find a machine that I felt could do the work to a better than just good standard.
This took some time as I didn’t want to rush in to it. As I didn’t want to regret my decision later, Lucky for me I came across Superkop. A very intriguing system for sure, in the way it looked and operated. It ticked all the boxes for me. I’m a huge fan of strong solid engineered Items such as this piece. Additionally I’m from the united kingdom and I must say I was also concerned about import tax. That being said it wasn’t too bad Superkop took care of the information needed for a smooth process, they contacted Customs for me sent them details of the bill of sale and informed them that I’m a private buyer and it wasn’t for commercial use, this made the process very smooth an even though I did have to pay an import Tax the amount paid still made the machine worth the price I paid, not to mention that it is the best espresso that I have ever tasted it was just as good as any espresso that I have purchased from a coffee shop. I really enjoy the process of making a coffee I even use a hand grinder to prepare the beans and the tools necessary to the perfect coffee puck preparation in the over engineered porta filter and basket that comes with it. It only took me around 4-6 attempts of pulling shots and was perfect with a little practice. I love it.
Perfect in its simplicity, and made better by design It has Durability Precision Longevity what more do you need. You wont regret it. I’m convinced that over time this machine will actually save me money.
I’m sure my Family will Fight over it when I’m gone.

I wanted to use my digital scale with your SuperKop Espresso Maker, I found that your drip trays create some movement that suddenly starts or stops my scale during espresso extraction.
I needed a robust flat surface that doesn’t move when starting the extraction.
Changing the stand of your espresso maker the other way around provides a nice flat surface.
Now my scale gives me accurate readings and my espresso extraction has been improved considerably.

I was looking for a simple and well designed espresso maker. Just 'Italy in a cup', no steamer, no hassle. I thoroughly enjoy the manual process of collecting the coffee (branded espresso roast, sorry for all you barista's out there), filling up the water cup and leveraging it into sheer perfection. The single cup does require a bit more ground coffee to get a solid puck, but it only deepens the flavour.

Ich war zunächst skeptisch, on man mit einer „einfachen“ Handhebelmaschine einen guten Espresso bereiten kann. Ja, man kann! Und zwar einen sehr guten. Bei diesem Gerät werden alle Versprechungen des Herstellers tatsächlich eingehalten. Und tatsächlich ist ein Vorwärmen nicht nötig, was den workflow wirklich sehr vereinfacht. Ich kann die Superkop absolut empfehlen.

Erg blij met de aanschaf. Uitstekende espresso’s en met experimenteren met de maling is de druk (en smaak) te beïnvloeden.
Ik heb er een waterkoker met nauwkeurige temperatuur instellingen, bij gekocht. Op vragen (via contact mailadres op de website) komt snel antwoord. Ook (was ik niet van uitgegaan) in het weekend.

Fantastisch apparaat. Ik heb de witte, op houten standaard in mijn keuken. Heerlijke espresso. Wil je een americano? Wat heet water erbij. Wil je een cortado/cappucino/flat white? Schuim ik wat havermelk op en voila. Met de heerlijke bonen erbij van de espressowinkel, drink ik liever geen koffie meer buiten! Ik had laatst wat witte poeder-coating die er af was gevallen, en ondanks dat het niet kan roesten oid kreeg ik geijk een heel nieuw onderdeel, kosteloos. Fantastisch ding! En van Nederlandse bodem. Ik ben trots.

I worked as a barista for a long time, but for 20 years I was looking for a simple solution to make a perfect espresso (cappuccino, latte... etc.) at home, without long preheating, without temperature problems (too hot, too cold...) without constant descaling and without having a huge box standing around that only a specialist company can repair. Voilà, for 3 months now, 3 minutes after getting up in the morning: great coffee without having to stand behind a bar at a machine costing many thousands of euros. The ingenious thing about the Superkop is its radical simplicity - reduced to the absolute essentials. Perfect workmanship, extreme precision of the piston in the water cup, incredible pressure. I love it.
