Important note for customers – please check before drinking
I want to share my experience to help others be more careful before drinking this vegan collagen.
I purchased two bottles in a row from a Holland & Barrett store, and unfortunately both were faulty. The liquid was brown in colour and tasted very bitter, which is not correct for this product. The proper collagen should be pinkish in colour, not brown.
This is especially important for older people, as some may assume that a brown colour is normal for this collagen – it is not.
I contacted customer service. The first bottle was replaced, but the replacement was also faulty. For the second bottle, I received a refund. Customer service handled it correctly, but the issue itself was concerning.
I don’t know whether this was due to:
incorrect storage in that particular shop, or
a faulty batch / production lot.
I want to be clear that when this collagen is in the correct condition, I am happy with it and do use it. This review is purely for health and safety awareness.
My advice:
Before drinking, always check the colour when you open the bottle.
✅ Correct: pinkish colour
❌ Incorrect: brown colour or very bitter taste
If it doesn’t look right, do not drink it.

I ordered several bottles of Collagen Hair from the official website. When opening them, the product had a very strong unpleasant smell and an abnormal filament-like, sticky texture, making it clearly unsuitable for consumption.

I contacted customer service and offered to return the bottles so they could be properly checked and analyzed. However, I was told that the product was “normal”, and no return, replacement or refund was offered.

Due to the smell and texture, I had to throw all the bottles away for safety reasons.

I am very disappointed with how this issue was handled. A quality or safety concern should be taken seriously, especially when several bottles from the same order are affected.

Not received the product. I have paid almost 90£. And the website says delivery in 1-5 business working days. No update regarding tracking as well.

Ho chiesto delucidazioni sul fatto che, all'apertura del prodotto, il colore fosse marrone-bordeaux e non rosa come in foto. Mi hanno chiesto dettagli dell'ordine e le foto (che avevo già inviato), per poi liquidarmi scaricando la responsabilità alla piattaforma che me l'aveva venduto. Non volevo un rimborso, ma solo sapere se era possibile ancora consumarlo (visto che il flacone era nuovo, appena aperto), e se l'ossidazione di qualche componente era possibile e fosse ancora sicuro, ma alla mail in cui chiedevo espressamente questo non hanno risposto. Deludenti su tutta la linea e per quanto riguarda la sicurezza degli ingredienti a questo punto non so proprio cosa dire. Sconsiglio vivamente.

Ho acquistato una confezione, dopo aver letto del prodotto. Avevo già iniziato una cura di collagene con un prodotto acquistato in farmacia. Non ho trovato cambiamenti in negativo. Vedo la pelle piu elastica e compatta, meno segni della cellulite e unghie piu forti. Inoltre mi è durato un mese, ed il prezzo è piu conveniente di quello che acquistavo in farmacia. Ne ho ordinate sltre 2 confezioni.

I have been using Swedish collagen for more than a year now and I am very happy about the results- my skin looks very bright and I experience fast growth of hair and nails. I have tried other collagen products, but this one has a great taste, it is easy to consume in shots. Customer support is also very helpful.

per anni sono stata una cliente affezionata della azienda, ho acquistato da loro il migliore collagene vegano che potessi incontrare in commercio. Purtroppo, nell'ultimo ordine, mi hanno consegnato delle bottiglie gonfie, che lasciavano pensare ad una fermentazione del collagene al suo interno. Ho contattato l'azienda e prontamente mi ha inviato delle nuove confezioni che purtoppo presentavano lo stesso problema. Un pò indispettita e anche delusa, ho chiesto delucidazioni, ma non ne ho mai avuto. Quindi, vedendo poca chiarezza, ho chiesto un rimborso che hanno provveduto ad effettuare subito. Non so se sia successo solo a me, in ogni caso è stato un gran peccato!
