Everything on our 8 day holiday by rail across Europe went PRECISELY to plan. From first phone call to delivery of all our travel documentation, Tailor Made provided a first class service. We will use Tailor Made again and would recommend them to others.

Tailor Made Rail were fantastic and arranging our travel plans right from the outset when we initially contacted them with ideas of our itineary. Melissa and the team were able to accommodate tweaks and changes as we planned the holiday and provided all the necessary hotel and travel bookings. Could not fault them.
The choice of hotels was exceptional and exceeded our expectations and all travel documents were clearly presented to help us on our way.
All in all I would have no hesitation in using Tailor made Rail to help arrange similar holidays and would highly reccommend to anyone thinking of planning a trip.

Tailor Made offered a well planned itinerary, excellent hotel choices and gave us all the information we needed to ensure our travel went smoothly. We also felt reassured they would be available if any problems occurred during our holiday. When we had queries at the planning stage they were also very quick to respond. We wouldn't hesitate going back to Tailor Made for future rail holidays

Mostly the travel side went smoothly which made it enjoyable. The downside was the hotel in Venice! It had great reviews and the location was brilliant but the shower we had was way to small. My husband is fairly skinny and still had trouble bending down to wash his feet. It was a very small half circle cubicle. Breakfast was okay but not brilliant. Scrambled eggs were awful and they charged extra for fried eggs. Do not think this hotel was worth the 4 star rating it has which is a pity!

Might be nice as an agent pointing out what is available to do in the location and opening times as we turned up at desezano castle to find it was closed on a Monday and we left on a Tuesday. Hotel in desezano was lovely but one thing that should have been noted there are apparently only 7 taxis in desezano and if it was not down to a kind member of staff taking us to the station after our taxi didn't turn up we would have missed the train!

Tailer made are usually excellent and we will trust them again for another holiday, on this last occasion not quite so good, we got a train change, the we got sent to a station that had not got a train connection,also part of the train payment not paid, I would still recommend using TMR, Esther was a lot off train disruption no faultt of TMR

Our journeys went smoothly and the accommodation suited our needs. Overall, the holiday met our expectations. The booking process did not go as smoothly on this occasion as it has in the past. On a day we were due to travel on a train in France we discovered that SNCF had cancelled all local trains for safety because of the extreme heat. We contacted Tailor Made Rail and without fuss, they very efficiently and speedily organised an alternative for us which we greatly appreciated.

From start to finish, Tailor Made Rail were fantastic in their communication. They were also flexible when I asked to amend a couple of things on our itinerary.
On the last day of our holiday, I noticed our train to the airport had been cancelled. I emailed to ask for some advice and within an hour I had a response (it was a Sunday) and I was so thankful that they were there and able to advise on the best steps to take. All worked out and we made it home!

Everything was perfect and the locations of the hotels were great!

All documents were sent in plenty of time so you had chance to look over everything in detail before you travelled.

I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again, I'm already looking at another trip for next year!

Taylor Made Rail were very helpful in arranging at short notice a rail, ferry and multiple accommodation package to Latvia and Lithuania, with return via Germany. I was particularly impressed that they were able to book an alternative route when their original proposal was already fully booked.

The whole trip and accommodation were fabulous. Well put together holiday !!

Excellent and timely communication when were planning our trip returning from Romania. We had a start and finish point and the suggestions for places to stay and trains to take were ideal. There was a hitch when a train was cancelled on the final day but the company responded quickly and were fantastic. Third holiday arranged and would definitely use again.

Tailor Made Rail planned our trip exactly as we wanted. The hotels were wonderful. We had rooms with great views. The information sent to us with train times was clear and accurate. When there was a rail strike in Italy at the end of our trip we were informed (before we knew about it) and tickets booked for us on a coach. We felt well looked after before and during our trip. We highly recommend Tailor Made Rail.

The fact that all the hotels we were booked in at were so near the railway station was a great help.

This was a trip for 20 cyclists to Belgium.
Tailor Made Rail ensured the whole itinerary was well planned and ran smoothly.
They were easy to deal with and coped well with a number of changes to plans and personnel in the lead up to the trip.
The quality of our hotel exceeded expectations and the whole package was very good value for money.

TMR arranged an excellent itinerary for us to reach Bologna. They were patient when we changed our minds to include Switzerland in our route. We travelled First Class and TMR booked us a taxi transfer between stations in Paris - highly recommended. The hotels on our journey were central and very comfortable. Sadly, heavy mid May snow obliterated our view of the Bernina route from St. Moritz to Tirano but we had seen the mountains and lakes on the previous day which was clear and sunny. TMR alerted us to a National Strike in Italy that would affect our homeward journey. Two of our trains were cancelled but we were promptly booked on trains that were running and new tickets were sent to us. We really appreciated this, especially as others in our hotel were having difficulties in independently rebooking their trains.
We were grateful to be sent paper copies of all our tickets so we had no worries about getting a signal on our phones to retrieve digital versions. All the documents were well organised by date.
Overall, we had a wonderful holiday largely due to the efficiency of TMR staff. All communication with them was courteous and nothing seemed too much trouble for them to arrange.
It was my second journey with TMR and I would certainly use them again and recommend them to friends.

This company offered great communication from start to finish. The holiday was as promised and very well organised. They were flexible around making changes to the standard holiday offer to fit in with what we wanted. There were a few tiny niggles but that should be expected. Overall I was very satisfied by the service and would recommend. It certainly took the hassle out of planning the holiday and was good value too. Very smooth.

We were very happy with the service we received from Taylor Made Rail, right from our initial enquiry. Can't think of anything they might have improved on really. This was a first for us, so we weren't quite sure what to expect, but we wanted to get to Istanbul overland by train and we did. We had 4 nights in hotels, in different cities, which were all a of very decent standard. The route also included two overnight train journeys, and a longer stay in a hotel of our choice in Istanbul. Our InterRail passes, other train tickets and hotel bookings were all arranged and paid for in advance, with a clear itinerary given for each day. It was a really great experience.

We have used Tailor Made Rail for a number of years now. We find their booking process and website easy to use and very efficient. The hotels we have stayed in across Europe have always impressed us. Booking is easy. Nothing is too much trouble for this company. All of their staff are polite and helpful. They have a good knowledge of the trips which we have booked. The Inter rail passes allow some flexibility if you miss a connection.
