Worst service - Stay away
Worst service. for 30 mins call of nonsense with someone who lacks any exprience, they billed $692. the doctor didnt really say anything and wanted to squeeze more money for followups. no thanks
Talk excellent
I found an amazing psychiatrist that takes my insurance and fits my time schedule. She is brilliant , very professional and so considerate and caring. Iâm so pleased. If you donât like your therapist choose another.
No way in hell I would use this serviceâŠ
No way in hell I would use this service again. They told me before I sent in my insurance and before my appointment that they covered me through my insurance. Then magically I wasn't covered AFTER using the service. That is completely predatory behavior and is absolutely disgusting to prey on those seeking mental health advice. This "service" is absolutely abhorrent.
Deceptive billing practices! .
This place is an absolute joke. The Dr was great, but they will drop you and say you didnât make payments, yet never send a bill. They donât send bills until you owe like $500 and they send it to collections.
Customer service is horrible! I will miss the Dr, but I will not miss the deceptive practice. Seeing from the reviews, I am not the only person with this issue!
Rates are absolutely ridiculous
Rates are absolutely ridiculous. One session was over $700 and after insurance, I have a bill of $421. If this is the cost to maintain mental health, we are doomed.
Their psychiatrist are not invested in mental health. It might just be a scam to bill insurance.
They just care about billing. Their psychiatrists are not invested in your health.
Donât go there if you want a giant billâŠ
Donât go there if you want a giant bill at the end since they donât say anything about price
Provider did not show up
Provider did not show up. Despite two calls they don't stop trying to bill *me* $100 for this experience.
Trust the Reviews - Don't Do It!!
I should have paid more attention to the reviews. After being unable to get an estimate for my visit, I decided to cancel. When I cancelled, there was no mention of a cancellation fee, but the day after the cancelled appointment I received a bill for $100. I'm sure there was probably something in the initial appointment information about a cancellation fee, but think a psychiatry practice that treats people with ADHD (who are known to have memory issues) should extend the courtesy of reminding patients about the fee when they ask to cancel. I paid the fee, but I definitely am not interested in trying to sort out my insurance and reschedule at this point. When I tried to find an email or other way to submit my written feedback about this issue, I couldn't find a way and so decided to leave this review instead.
Misleading and awful
My husband had a good experience, so we made my daughter an appointment. I have a master's in learning and behavior disorders and know she had adhd. Their ads are all about getting diagnosed with adhd, so I thought this was a good fit. She just turned 18, so she isn't familiar with different medications yet. She had her appointment and this lady prescribed her PROZAC!! She accepted it, thinking it was something to help adhd. I immediately told her not to take it. I've been on it and it's a NASTY drug. Made me feel suicidal, so I stopped it immediately, which made things worse for weeks. I just felt like death. And she doesn't even have depression, so why try to give her a something for depression???? She wrote the lady back yesterday and said she realized this was an anti depressant and did not want to take something for depression when she's not depressed, especially after looking at some of the side effects. So the lady writes back suggesting a deferent medication- a different anti depressant!! She again tells her she's not depressed. She doesn't have anxiety. Any anxiety she has is caused by her brain being in a million different places and she can't focus enough to get things done. So what does she do? Offers a THIRD anti depressant!!!! Are you kidding me??? Stop trying to shove those nasty ssri drugs down people's throats when they don't need them! They're not something you can just TRY, then stop cold turkey when you find they don't work. It's a whole process of waiting for them to work, realizing they make things worse, then dealing with the awful side effects when you stop taking them. HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE for someone who CLAIMS to be educated!
I've had doctors on this platformâŠ
I've had doctors on this platform cancel appointments with me on the same day, sometimes within 30 minutes of my appointment. The staff can't inform me of why these appointments are canceled, and doctor's calendars are booked up weeks in advance. This to me, is very concerning. Especially if you are on medication and have questions that could greatly impact your health. Another disappointing feature of this platform, and customer service is that it takes a very long time to get in contact with someone who can resolve the matter.
This company uses OFF-SHORE, NO ENGLISH!!
After an off-shore sales person finally convinced to have my first visit because my insurance apparently covers it, I book one. I've been waiting over 2 weeks for my appointment while my symptoms get worse. Well, my doctor had technical issues on her end and cancelled. And basically like an oh-well, sorry, they cancelled. And what's to say there won't be technical issues next time? Not s good impression of this company whatsoever. I highly suggest looking elsewhere or you'll likely end up in the same boat.
$658.00 for a late, short session
Doctor showed up 20 minutes late for a 30 min appointment. Then billed two separate CPT codes, including one for therapy which was not conducted. Absolute scam. Billed $658.00 for the session
Convenient and helpful
This process has been extremely convenient for my busy schedule. More importantly, it has helped me tremendously. I am finally on the road to being a better version of myself.
Talkiatry review
Dr. Lucky is always on time for every appointment. If )as I had in the past) connection issues one call to the help line and they imediatly contact my Dr. So my conection issue can be addressed. I couldn't ask for better service. Keep up the Great work
Predatory and not transparent
Predatory and not transparent. Like many people I scheduled my appointment through the websites assessment where they pair you with a provider. WHERE THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. I cancelled two days before and received a bill for 100$. I called to dispute it and their "Care Coordinators" AKA a third party call company said they sent in a request for cancellation of the bill. Did not hear anything back for a week and still waiting. Even if you wanted to dispute your bill and point out the logistical flaws, they don't show a timeline of your appointment schedules. HOW CONVENIENT.
Update- They emailed my other email that is not listed in my patient profile asking for me to fill out a survey about how they handeled my case.
I HAD TO CALL to find out my case/billing dispute to have this fee cancelled was DECLINED.
Medication Change/Lack of Appropriate Care
I am an outpatient mental health provider writing to share a professional concern regarding coordination of care and policy transparency at Talkiatry.
One of my clients began treatment with Talkiatry and had an initial psychiatric appointment during which their current medication regimen was significantly adjusted. At the subsequent follow-up appointment, the provider learned that the client had been using medical marijuana. This information was on the forms completed prior to intake. The client was immediately discharged from care following that appointment. No referrals, transition plan, or follow-up recommendations were provided.
This discharge occurred while the client was in the midst of a medication change. Following the discontinuation of services, the client began to decompensate and experienced suicidal ideation. Fortunately, they were able to obtain care through their primary care provider.
As the clientâs outpatient therapist, I attempted to communicate with Talkiatry to better understand their policies and grievance procedures, particularly regarding:
Their policy on medical marijuana use
Their protocol for discharging patients during active medication changes
Their process for ensuring continuity of care
In early January 2026, I emailed the organization and received a reply indicating that someone would respond within three days. No response was received. I subsequently called twice and spoke with care managers, who directed me to email a different address. I did email that address and again received no response. On a later call, I was informed that a release of information would be required before any discussion could occur. At that time, the client was psychiatrically unstable and not in a position to complete a release.
This has now been an approximately six-week process without resolution or clarification. As a licensed provider with professional resources and familiarity navigating healthcare systems, I found it extremely difficult to obtain information or speak with someone directly. This raises concerns about accessibility and continuity of care for patients and collaborating providers.
My intention in sharing this review is not to criticize individual clinicians, but to highlight concerns regarding discharge practices, coordination of care, and responsiveness when patients are in vulnerable transitions.
Itâs amazing how effective theâŠ
Itâs amazing to me how effective the âzoomâ type format is. I believe it affords a more direct dialog than traditional âin officeâ sessions . Feels like a more face to face exchange via a screen than that within a therapistâs office.
Felt heard and supportived
One of my clients actually referred me to schedule with Mr Fabian Escobar through Talkiatry for ADHD support. From the start he was professional but also easy to talk to. He genuinely took the time to understand what Iâve been dealing with and didnât make me feel rushed or brushed off. I felt heard, which honestly means a lot. He explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable with the plan moving forward. The whole experience felt supportive and respectful. I truly appreciate the care and would absolutely recommend him.
This is a very disorganized company
This is a disorganized company. The Care Coordinators live in another country and English is not their first language. Appointments are canceled at the last minute, not good when your doctor is supposed to prescribe a refill at that visit. Too bad if you are out of your medication, you must wait until your doctor has an opening. This company has added so much stress to my already existing anxiety disorder. Please do not use them!
